I haven’t been to this restaurant in ages. I was plesently surprised to get in immediately during the lunch rush. I had the Aussie steak tacos and they were the best tacos I have ever eaten. They were recommended by my server(Klarissa) and she should be commended(or given a raise) for her choice. Not only was she right about the tacos, but she provided some of the best service I have had in a long, long time. We then tried the salted caramel cookie for dessert and I didn’t want it to end. I told Klarissa I wanted to move in so I could have it every day. I don’t know if this is typical of this restaurant but I would go back just to see if it could be duplicated

I‘m a little surprised by the bad reviews for this place. My husband and I go here a couple times a month and have never had any major issues. We don‘t go to chains all that often but there aren‘t many places to get ribs. The one time my order wasn‘t complete the manager, Lisa, took care of it immediately. My husband orders his sirloin medium, and it comes out medium, what else can you say about a decent steakhouse? There are far worst places in GJ.

Usually love Outback but this time was very disappointing. First. the website said they had a 4 course special for $ 14.99, they did not. Also, house wine was $ 6.00 not $ 4.00. My sirloin was very very tough and the garlic mashed didn’t taste like garlic mashed. The only thing that was good was the wedge. Will not go back !

Was in town for a few days and hadn’t been to outback in a really long time. I was pleased to see that they got a new menu and it is very easy to follow. Ordered a New York Steak wood-fire grilled, medium and it came out just how I wanted it. I honestly was surprised at how good it was. The Cesar salad I ordered on the side was also great, along with a loaded baked potato. I will definitely be going to outback more often after the experience I had here.

The food sucked it took over an hour to get our food and when we did get it was cold. The steak was so dried I could barely eat it. They at least took off so money off our bill. And another family didn’t eat there food after waiting almost an hour for it too. I was really disappointed and regret it.

The Outback Steakhouse in Grand Junction is the worst Outback Steakhouse I’ve ever been to. They are quite possibly the worst restaurant in Grand Junction. Last two times I’ve been there it was terrible. My order was so badly messed up that I got mostly the wrong items. There menu options were not all available. The last time I was there two of the three of party got their meals but I never got mine… not even my salad I ordered. Everyone was done eating by the time they finally brought my dinner out. The manager apologized and only offered a free dessert to make up for my inconvenience. I think compensating me by adjusting the bill would have be more fair. I won’t be back anytime soon. I suggest that if you want a good meal with friends go elsewhere.

Do not use online ordering with this Outback Steakhouse. I placed an online take out order at 1:30pm. I was told it would be ready at 1:50pm with an email. I showed up a little before 2pm and was told that no one was at the Take Away desk and that my online order was not started. I had ordered wings and asked how long it takes to prepare the wings. I was told 6 minutes. 16 minutes later the wings finally showed up. Why offer online ordering when this restaurant does not actually look at the online orders. In addition, I was told the manager would be by to apologize but during my 16+ minute wait he never showed up. This particular Outback Steakhouse is poorly managed.

I really used to like the Outback Steakhouse. Tonight, my wife and I celebrated mother’s day with my mother. I had the 11 oz sirloin steak that was so tough I could hardly cut it. The steak was just plain and tasteless. I opted for a baked potato too, it was cold. Vegetables to go with the steak dinner were extra… poor! The salad had wilted lettuce and wasn’t cold when I received it. There were brown spots on the lettuce. On the positive side, the waitress was outstanding!

Last night was my last night. I go to Outback because my wife likes the Alice Springs Chicken. I only eat the overly expensive and overly cooked prime rib. At 6:08PM they were out of prime rib. How is that possible? Ok I moved on to the Pork Porterhouse which is a pork chop. Generally it takes 9 minutes to cook a pork chop on a grill. They cooked it for 30 minutes at least. I say 30 minutes because between the ordering of the food and the arrival of the food was 38 minutes. That pork chop would have had more moisture in it if it had cooked outside on the hood of my truck for a week. To the waiters credit, he pulled it from the bill so I tipped him the normal 20% for average service. Anyway, I’m done with them.

I loved this place. I went there during my lunch break and it was freaking excellent. Their food and quality and service… Everything really. I don’t understand why people in Colorado complain too much about this Outback, they simply didn’t experience how awful Outback is in California…

The wait at this outback was RIDICULOUS! We had a toddler & they made us wait over an hour and was seated after parties that showed up after we did. They FINALLY seated us and there was no napkins or utensils. We ordered an appetizers and they said there was no plates. It’s not like they were busy. There were 5 tables empty behind us. Our server was very pleasant but I definitely will not be coming back anytime soon.

Guess I’ll never know how good the food is… we walked in and they told us there was a 2-hour wait so we left. Seriously… if there is a wait that long you have a food-expedition problem. Turn over your whole staff if it’s that bad. No chain restaurant is worth waiting that long for. Oh, and someone was walking around with a tray trying to peddle some raunchy-looking chicken quesadilla bits to the disgruntled customers who were waiting… it looked like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for 6 hours. If that was a sample of what my dinner would have been like, I’m not sure I’ll even try to go back at a less busy time.

The staff was very friendly, but the service was awful! We had to wait about 50 minutes before we got our food and when it came it looked like it had been under lights for a few hours– very disappointing. My wife never got her side salad. I have been to a lot of outbacks and have had 5 star experiences at all of them except this one. It was as if we were at a different restaurant. I recommend outback, but NOT the one in grand junction.

I’ve been eating at Outbacks since they opened. In the past I could always count on good or better food quality and flavor. I could trust that I would have a good meal Since I moved to GJ, 7 years ago, I have not eaten there very often. I recently received a gift card a couple months ago, and have been there about 3 times in the last few months. The food just is not what it used to be. Unfortunately, an all to common phrase. In general the servers have always been very good. I ate there last week, and that meal was not very good. But it seems to be going from bad to worse. On my visit today, my unfortunate choice was the«Hearts of Gold Mahi,» please refer to the menu description. The only good thing about the meal was the size of the portion of Mahi Mahi. The good ends there. The fish had no seasoning and it didn’t look like it had been grilled. There was supposed to be a «light lemon sauce», but there was none. I had to ask for a cup of the sauce, which was almost flavorless. It was supposed to be topped with artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes and green onions. This was almost non-existent and were overcooked. There is no mention in the menu that the fish was served on a bed of seasoned rice. With that not known I ordered a side of seasoned rice. While it is seasoned, it is an extremely dry rice. The Mixed Veggies that came with the meal, were not served. I had to ask for them. They arrived and were cooked well, not overcooked. The problem is, it was almost like they had not been through prep service. The broccoli had woody stems, the pea pods were not trimmed, the carrots were rather woody and only the two tiny slices of squash were ok. The Ice Tea was fine for the first 2 glasses, then the 3rd was almost colorless, and tasteless. And one plus. The bread was good as usual. This restaurant obviously has a problem in the kitchen, and therefore with management that allows it to be served. As a restaurant manager you cannot just trust that the kitchen is doing a good job. Like a chef that should be tasting the food to maintain quality, the manager needs to be tasting the food also. This is not being done.

Waiters/waitresses are typically friendly and helpful with menu items and suggestions. Food is good but not quite better than Texas Roadhouse.

Stopped in for dinner on the way to Utah. Glad we did. Service was spot on, and the food was perfectly cooked. We ordered 6oz steaks and a cheeseburger. We were very pleased.

The food, once we got it, was good and properly cooked. It was a busy night for them, and it was a loooong wait before we got our steaks, our first appetizer was dropped on the floor, they were out of mashed potatoes, and my salad was scant on dressing. However, the manager personally apologized and our waiter was attentive and friendly. I expect our experience is not typical.

It’s nothing more than a consistent chain steak house. If you are in the mood for a steak and want it done right you can always count on Outback to deliver. It’s nothing special but it works for a quick steak dinner.

Yikes… I don’t know if it was just too slow for people to function properly or what, but yikes. It’s been about 4 years since I’ve done the down under with Outback, but some friends were craving theirb steak, so we gave it a go. Hostess– SUPERNICE! She did her job with flying colors. At least there was that. Server– Had potential, but he didn’t quite deliver, and by that I mean: –the steak my friend ordered topped with blue cheese, was without the blue cheese, –we ordered the spinach artichoke dip as an entrée, didn’t show up until after the steak was sent back to get topped, and the manager was back to apologize to us for the second time(because the first time, the Samuel Adam’s keg was not pouring correctly and could not be served, not that big a deal in my opinion, but okay) –even with empty beers, it took several visits to ask if we wanted refills I don’t really like to nit pick on crap like that, but it just kept on going… Manager– Came by right after finding out we ordered the Sam Adam’s to apologize. Kind of surprising as that’s something that needs to be fixed, and not their fault, but hey, that was nice of her. She gave us a free appetizer because of it. Fine with me! On her second visit after the sending back of the steak(I seriously hate doing that, but that’s the entire reason my friend wanted to come), and she forgot that she had seen us, until she started on her spiel. Kind of funny, or depressing… Maybe both. Over all, nice enough. Food– Garlic mash, super tasty. Sirloin, decent flavor, and texture what you get for the price. Artichoke dip, wayyy to salty and greesy, just overall not what I was looking for. Bread, normally fairly awesome, but that night it was dry and sad. Beer– They have 90 Shilling on tap, which pretty much saved the whole meal. If you haven’t had it, it’s what angles dreams are made of. Bottom line: If I have a say, I will not be outback again for awhile. This is one of those places you have to go back to every so often, just to remind yourself why you don’t go.
