We just stumbled on this nice little BBQ joint the other day. I loved their ribs and their brisket, however the brisket was juicy, but lacking in flavor unless I smothered it in sauce. I really don’t like to do that, but felt it was necessary. I’m sure it will get better with time. The ribs were pretty awesome plain as well as with the sauce. All of the sauces are homemade and full of flavor. I also had the coleslaw and the mac and cheese, both of which were bland and lacking in some bold flavor. I’m hoping with these reviews that it gets better. This place has serious potential, and I truly hope they work at getting better.

This place is great. Hard to decide what to order! That smokey mac n cheese is ridiculously good.

Best BBQ in town. The owner is a sweetheart. The burnt ends are great. Beans are tasty. Honestly I like it all. Not a bad thing on the menu. They do run out of items from time to time. To me that says it’s pretty damn good. Make it in early to get so bbq. All other reviews on here that are bad must not know good bbq.

My five star rating is based on their $ 5 student special and their always friendly welcome. For just $ 5 I get a great pulled pork sandwich topped with cole slaw which is so good and fresh that I always get it even though I supposedly don’t like cole slaw! Inlcuded is a fountain drink and a bag of chips … yes this place is truly«all that and a bag of chips.» I often bike here from Fruita with my wife and think of this place as the perfect bookend to Fruita’s famous Hot Tomato pizza joint. Did I mention that you pass Enstrom’s ice cream /candy on your way back to the River Front Trail?

Come expecting a little BBQ shack. You order at a counter and they bring it to your table in takeout style containers –styrofoam and paper boats with plastic forks and paper towels. It’s not meant to be fussy or high end. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Décor looks like a BBQ shack — metal and corrugated tin, pallets and a chalkboard menu. It’s cute and cozy and was very clean. We ordered a «pinks plate» and one order was enough food to make both of us sick full and still take home leftovers. It is a combination of all of their meats, plus cole slaw and a couple of sides. It needed to have some bread or something served with it, it came out as a big pile of meat which looked a bit odd but was tasty. It would have been perfect for takeout. The ribs were the best, very tender without being over cooked or mushy, with a delicious seasoning rub. Perfect. The brisket and pulled pork were both very good; tender and cooked perfectly. Neither one had a ton of flavor, though. I wish we had requested a more flavorful sauce with them(we both just got regular sauce), and these both would have been nice with some bread. The sausage was a little spicy and very flavorful, with just the right amount of crispiness on the outside, although a couple of the pieces were a little too over cooked and chewy. The chicken was my least favorite, it was a little dry and over-cooked. For the sides, the coleslaw was very fresh, but the dressing was a little too thin and vinegary. We also had beans and smoky mac. The beans were good; good texture and flavor, a very mustardy sauce but it was good. The smoky mac was pretty average macaroni and cheese, no smoky flavor to it. For both of us to eat to stuffed, with leftovers and drinks(the iced tea was fresh and very good) was about $ 30, which is a great value. There were some other interesting-looking items on the menu like fried catfish on Fridays and brisket nachos that would be fun to try. We also like the idea of supporting little locally owned shops. We will definitely come back, this will be a good place for those nights when we want something quick and easy and don’t want to cook or spend too much.

Great little place. Very good bbq, service with a smile. Prices are great, daily specials. Not fancy, just good food at a good price.

I might have given one more star, but I hate eating on styrofoam and cheap paper plates. Cups, bowls, plates and forks and spoons. The food was marginal. The pork was cooked well and the spicy BBQ sauce at least made the pork taste better. The beans were like out of a can and again the spicy BBQ sauch helped. Seems like the best thing here was the spicy BBQ sauce. Unfortunately no second chance here, I will not be back.

Pink’s was fine but I’m not sure I’d seek it out for a repeat visit. The only items that I would put above average were the ribs and the BBQ sauces. I appreciated the large amount of ribs they served me. Skip the brisket — it was bland and too fatty. The mac and cheese was fine but not stand out. Nice people work there but the atmosphere was kind of bland. It was nice that they seemed to have free foos ball and pool.

Best BBQ I have had in GJ. Brisket and smoked Mac-n-cheese were great. I have had better ribs but they weren’t bad. I recommend bringing a couple friends and splitting the Pink’ platter. The service was friendly and attentive. I had my kids with me and a boy(owner’ s son?) Entertained them the entire time. Definitely will be back soon.

Definitely a family owned business which is really cool! We had the two meat combo which included a side. We ordered an extra side and a drink. $ 20 total. We tried the brisket and the burnt ends, mac & cheese, and baked beans. The sides were pretty good, but the brisket was not worth the price. It was tasty, but the pieces they selected for us were not good. More than half were fatty and inedible. The burnt ends were tasty, but very dry. We are used to burnt ends that are juicy and these were not. Not our style, but others may enjoy them this way. Also, no starch like fries or biscuits or corn bread.

Amazing bbq! We had the pulled pork nachos and the 2 plate meal with brisket and pulled pork. Being from the South I was hesitant, but this was good, and the portions were just right! My husband is not a big coleslaw fan, but ate every bit that was on his plate! We are already planning our next trip back… I’m looking forward to the ribs.

Just Average. I can’t say I was overly impressed but it was not awful either, just somewhere in the middle as far as I’m concerned with bbq. I had the brisket sandwich with smoked Mac and cheese and a fountain drink, I paid $ 10.75 which I felt a fair price for brisket. The Mac and cheese was pretty tasteless had to add salt to make it decent. The brisket had good flavor and bbq sauce was excellent but the meat was over cooked, dry, and tough to chew. So a mixed bag there. The staff was great, but the feel with flies inside the restaurant was a bit broke down and dirty. Overall the place had some highs and real lows so for a rating low 3 stars.

Enjoyed some great BBQ! I really liked the burnt ends and the smoked Mac-n-cheese. We also had the the pulled pork and a brisket Sammie. I would certainly come back to enjoy more BBQ. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I really like the regular BBQ sauce too!

My husband and I checked this place out the other night and really enjoyed it. I do not eat meat, so I asked Pink’s ahead of time for a meatless option, and they fixed a portobello sandwich for me. It was delicious! Most meatless options at bbq joints are tasteless, but this sandwich had all the flavor of a bbq meat sandwich. The buns are delicious as is the generous portion of coleslaw on top of their bbq sandwiches. My husband got the bbq pork sandwich and was also pleased with his choice. The only down-side is that they ran out of most of their sides by the time we got there. We really wanted mac’n’cheese, but they were out. We settled for coleslaw(which was really good as it wasn’t drenched in mayo) and chips. The service was quick and friendly. I think once this place gets on its feet, it will improve the somewhat plain ambiance. I also suggest they get a better selection of chips(they only have Lays and should maybe splurge for some Boulder chips or something) and a better selection of drinks. Maybe open a patio? I highly suggest this place for some great local bbq!

This is the best BBQ I’ve had in Junction. The owner loves the craft and has spent time researching and developing his style. It’s usually pretty slow in there, but that’s just because he’s not marketing heavily yet, and people don’t know it exists. It’s friendly and delicious there.

Super impressed– great service! Food is delish, fresh and obviously made with lots of love. I went before the dinner rush and am glad I did– owner says they close when they run out of food and they were getting close today. I had a large order and they handled it smoothly. The pulled pork was our favorite– so delicious and it melts in your mouth! They also give sides of their sauces to top the pork. Coleslaw is not mayonnaise-y. They use more of a cider vinegar, so it’s not your grandmas slaw. Beans are more like pork-n-beans but are super tasty. The beans were my kids fave! Again, super impressed– looking forward to eating here to get my next BBQ fix!

These guys had the Q dialed in today. I had the same brisket and rib comb as I had before and it was BBQlicious! The meat was smoked just right and to a near perfect doneness. It was definitely the best I’ve had in town. And in the top 5 I’ve had anywhere. The slaw was lightly dressed and refreshing. The smoked Mac and Cheese was great too and the Carolina style BBQ sauce could be bottled and sold on it’s own. Next time — pulled pork sandwich … Good job guys — keep it up. Cheue‘

Stopped in for lunch. First let me say, the meats and sauces are very good. they have conquered true smoked BBQ flavor on the meats! Pulled pork sandwich was top notch from the bread to the sauce and slaw. We liked ours with added mustard BBQ sauce. perfect! Brisket plate was moist and juicy, served with a side of lightly dressed vinegar slaw and a homemade yeast roll. Pulled pork nachos were very tasty and plentiful. Owner and staff were exceptionally friendly and obviously cared enough about their product to seek out our comments after the meal. The establishment is not high on atmosphere, and sparsely appointed. But first things first… This guy cares about being the«go to» BBQ joint in GJ, and we think he’s on his way!
