Best country fried steak I’ve ever eaten. Had to get a cinnamon bun to go… Dinner tonight!!!

Chicken fried steak was extremely good. Service was a little slow but it was pretty busy. I would eat here again. Only a 3 star because of the service… worthy of a 4.

Walked in, waitress says, «have a seat at any clean table». I ordered coffee, waitress does not offer creamer so I decide to get up and ask for creamer. Brings the food out, does not ask if we need anything else which there was not any salt pepper at the table. She comes back around, I ask for salt and pepper. Not once does she fill our drinks finally I had to ask for more coffee and water. The food was really good.

I had the country fried steak for lunch the other day per a waitress recommendation. The steak was good and tender, with plenty of breading. I have to admit that I was disappointed in the size of the mashed potato side, which was like a normal ice cream scoop, and the Texas toast was fair. If you compare it to similar diners it’s close. I don’t want to sound like a food snob. The food was good diner food. I would even go back for normal breakfast or lunch. I can’t say that it’s anything to write home about so it tops out at 4 stars for me. Service was good which is why it’s not just an average 3 star rating.

Great breakfast food, and the staff was very friendly. Wife pointed out that the ladies room was out of TP and they apologized and someone went to fill it right away. The staff all worked well together, didn’t see any of the negativity noted in other reviews. We’d go back for sure. Kids loved the pancakes. Plenty of meat options, some vegetarian stuff but if that’s your thing I’d look elsewhere.

Love Randy’s! I work night shift, and when I get off work, Randy’s Southside Diner is my go-to place for breakfast. Excellent breakfasts with delicious, flavorful thick sliced bacon, as well as their smothered biscuits and gravy ~ so yummy! Servers are extremely nice and all of them will say«hi» and ask how everything is going even if they’re not your server. Can’t think of anything negative about Randy’s on North Street. For me, Randy’s is tops!

Great greasy spoon breakfast place but the owner ‘Randy’ is the rudest most unprofessional person I’ve ever dealt with. He treats the waitresses poorly and has openly embarrassed and mistreated my family and friends. He’s very hit and miss. The restaurant would be great if he’d just stay at home…

The service continues to go down hill, but at least the food is consistant. If it wasn’t I would not come.

I really wish I could give this place more than 3 stars, as the staff were very friendly, and locally owned places are better than village inn any day, but overall the food and service could use some improvement. I would say the food, in general, is average — nothing exceptional but not bad either. Pros: the hash browns were cooked perfectly(not soggy but not burnt to a crisp either), and they definitely don’t skimp on the meat like a lot of places do – sausage patties are large. Cons: I ordered eggs over medium, and the yolks were totally liquid. Coffee tasted watered down, but I probably should expect that from a roadside diner. I had to ask for my coffee to be refilled(after waiting several minutes) — I get that waitstaff get busy, but keeping the coffee flowing seems like a pretty important point of service at any diner.

Absolutely amazing. Truly a hidden gem in Grand Junction. The French Dip is perfect the au jus had a wonderful buttery taste. And the staff is the best, they recognized me on my second visit and they are tremendously friendly. If you have the chance you have to go to Randy’s Southside Diner.

Great breakfast! Finally a diner that knows how to make home fries. It’s tiny and easy to miss but worth the stop. Friendly and quick.

Great diner with great staff of normal folks. Very unpretentious. The biscuits and Gravy SUPREME are the things large people dream of when they dream of breakfast food. Great job guys!

Great breakfast brunch diner near Grand Junction. Excellent biscuits and gravy. Pancakes are large and in charge. Egg white omelet healthy yet still worth eating.
