Sophia’s is one of those restaurants where I’m sure they have great stuff, but I get the same thing repeatedly. LOVE their gyros! I’ve never had the platter… the sandwich with its choice of soup, salad or fries is always more than enough food for me. I think the feta is blended into the sauce, but that doesn’t bother me – in fact, since I get it via takeout, there’s less mess that way. I had the rueben once with the previous owners and I’m sure it’s just as good.(It’s hard to ruin that particular sandwich, after all!) Highly recommend. Delicious.

Not as good as I had expected. Super busy, but I figured it would be worth the weight. Not really. Hash browns were barely cooked, and omelet was just ok. I’m sure there are better breakfast places in Lansing worth checking out over this place.

Ehh not like it used to be. Messed up our order. Single yolks. Small portion of barely cooked hash browns. The food reminds me of Denny’s.

Good food. Atmosphere would be comprible to a Big Boys, sit down style with long deep booths. Friendly and attentive wait staff. Price is a bit high if you love all the extras but no different then an IHOP. Scrambled eggs were quite dry, biscuits and gravy were good, but the American fries are exceptional! Great place to bring the family, and certainly better than Denny’s.

Our waiter was so friendly and nice! Loved the atmosphere and how friendly the staff was. This is the first place I have ever asked for a side of artichoke hearts and they came heated up. I was really impressed! The food was all very good, and nice sized portions for the prices.

I’ve heard a lot about this place but have never been. The frittata was huge and pretty darn tasty. My friends skillet was also large and good. We had enough food for 3 – 4 people. Next time I’ll share so nothing goes to waste. I recommend giving them a try.

Ummm bullet points: –Great food(and leftovers later) –Syrup was warm when brought to the table –The cheesy scrambled eggs had cheese throughout the eggs, not just sprinkled on top –Waitress was great — friendly but not fawning or fake nice, read my mind(never had to ask for more coffee or cream) –Popular spot so there’s always lots of nice conversation going on around you — people/togetherness/community, if you’re into that sort of thing

Came here after a long night at MSU, and honestly, I came here so long ago(and was hungover), that I don’t even remember what it was like. I just remember it being super packed and that our waitress was a smokeshow. Other than that, it was pretty busy and a top-tier Denny’s or an IHOP. The food was phenomenal, and the prices were unbeatable. I remember getting a huge portion of food(like pancakes, bacon, sausage, toast, orange juice, eggs), and only paying $ 10 for it or something like it. It really was a good deal. Service was good and the place was really clean; I remember that. Overall a great place to be and I’d definitely come back if I were in the Lansing area again.

Huge portion sizes for the price. I’ve been here a number of times and the food is always great. Their 1 egg special is probably my family favorite breakfast item on the menu. One you actually get 2 eggs, but you get a generous portion of eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns and pancakes. Great food. The pancakes are to die for. If you go around lunch, their burgers are amazing. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything here. Great food and they’re priced very reasonably. The atmosphere is very relaxed and homey.

I have enjoyed going to Sophia’s in the past. It is now apparently under new ownership. My DW and I had breakfast there today, and we find it just as enjoyable. We went the omelette route on this visit. I had the«Breakfast Meat» version(with bacon of course, add onion). DW had the Spinach and Feta. Both omelettes were delicious, along with being rather large. It came with hash browns and toast. Not a big review item generally, but for some reason we both thought the toast was quite good. We both requested that the hash browns be cooked to well done(crispy on the outside). Lo and behold, they actually did it. Nice and crispy… delicious. So many restaurants seem to ignore these requests or make a halfhearted effort. In short, the service was decent, the restaurant seems well run and they make an effort to give you what you want. We will certainly return in the future. The Lansing area is not known for having fine restaurants. I awarded five stars. Technically, it’s not a five star restaurant, but for Lansing it is.

Huge portions! Unless you’re really hungry, you’ll get a lot of food. I got the Special #1, it included eggs, sausages, bacon, hash browns and pancakes. The atmosphere is very much like a diner and homey. The food was good, the hash browns were not oily, the pancakes were fluffy and the eggs were perfect. We came here because Golden Harvest was packed with a long line waiting outside. I’m sure Golden Harvest an Sophia’s is not comparable, however I was satisfied with the food.

Lansing is definitely not known for its diners. This is an exception. The breakfast is always awsome but I varied that today and got the meatloaf and mashed potatos for lunch. It was about as close to homemade as you can get. I highly recommend this place if you are starving and don’t want to spend a fortune. The place is fancy, but the wait staff is great and the the cook obviously knows what he is doing.

Nice waitress but very slow to get the food and the tastiest thing was the broiled slice of processed American cheese on top of the box made watery grits. Frittata was dry. Eggs Benedict was good. Sunday not the day to come.

Typical American diner food a little greasy. It is definitely better than most other restaurants in this category. For the city its in couldn’t complain at all about the food or waitress is very good service.

Really good breakfast. Definitely would choose this over IHOP or a chain. I like that it is family owned.

I have really wanted to not like this place for a long time, but I really can not bring my self to that. I have eaten there a few times and the meals are consistent, if nothing special. This is one of those places where 1 egg =2 eggs, 2 eggs=4 eggs, so you can easily get a plate full of eggs if you are not careful. The Greek style breakfast dishes are good, as are the pancakes and waffles. The service is good, the breakfast menu is good, the portions huge, and it is clean. This place is my choice over the local Bob Evans or Cracker Barrel. I miss breakfast at the old Log Jam!

Typical breakfast spot. Although the menu has a few different dishes *gyros, frittatas, etc) the pumpkin pancakes were delicious and I loved that I could get them as a side. The dishes were huge(I suggest splitting them). The staff was very friendly and even though it was crowded they got us seated pretty quickly.
