Grand Prairie is a medium sized city in DFW, which I enjoy. It’s not so big that traffic is ridiculous nor is it so small that the services provided to residents are virtually nonexistent. The library system in Grand Prairie is fairly small as well but the stacks do contain a few good books and CDs/DVDs. If all else fails, you can get a TexShare card or request an interlibrary loan from another library system. This particular library branch is relatively new and it is always quiet and clean. Librarians are willing to help you renew or replace your library card and answer any questions you may have. This is a good location to study(they have wi-fi as well for any internet needs) or to get some work done offline. I like the ability to grab resource materials for myself and my students as needed. This branch could stand to have a bigger selection, but given the size of Grand Prairie I will be forgiving and try the other branch if it’s a dire need.
