Rooms to Go

You will love this place if you remember one thing: it’s an outlet, so it’s pretty much self-​service. If you want a full-​service experience, I suggest you go to a full-​service store. If you just want to save some money, this is your place.
Located in an industrial park across HWY 360 from the Rooms To Go distribution center, as soon as you walk in the door you are in a warehouse with furniture scattered about, grouped by function: living room, dining room, bedroom, mattresses, etc. The stock is WYSIWYG: discontinued, samples, scratched, etc. and all pieces are priced.
As it is pretty much a self-​service operation, you need to hunt down a sales person. Sometimes one will be at one of the kisoks scattered about, but you can always go to the cashier station near the entrance and one will be called to you. Once you select your purchase, you will get a sheet of paper with a tracking number and go to the cashier. Once you pay for your purchase, you get your receipt and drive around the corner to the loading dock to pick up your purchase. Easy. On busy days, the loading dock can be busy and confusing so make sure you are ready to go.
I’ve been looking around other outlet type places to see if I could find new side rails for my bed. None sold the rails separately and I was getting desperate. The headboard and footboard are perfect, but the hooks on the end of the rails started to pop out. No reason to spend several hundred dollars on a new bed set. RTG Outlet was my last choice before heading to Home Depot and jury-​rigging the rails. Along the back wall with the bedroom sets, there are several racks with, yes, bed rails. All sorts of them, all wrapped in pairs. I was expecting to pay $ 100 or more for them. I escaped with my new rails paying, with tax, $ 5.60. Yes, that is correct.
I almost succumbed to the urge to buy a couple large ottomans for my dogs. They will also want a new king bed…

This Rooms-​to-​Go gets a F in customer service!!! I will not shop here again. I found a couch and walked away from it to find somebody to help me and was talking to a sales person at the end of the row and told him I wanted to buy it, I was going to buy 2 other pieces as well. Another person came up to it and started looking, I told the guy to go put a sold sign on it and he wouldn’t, I went to the manager and he wouldn’t put a sold sign on it either. So these other people bought it, I told the manager that was messed up and he lost 2 other sales that I was going to buy. He didn’t care, so you tell me how it’s fair that you have to hunt down somebody to help you and in the mean time what you wanted is sold out from underneath you and the manager doesn’t give a crap. Customer service is a fail and I won’t ever shop here again and I have bought a lot of furniture here in the past but never again! FAIL!!!

I came to this store to purchase a couch. I was in the store for 30mins without anyone acknowledging me and by the time I found a sales person I was ready to make my purchase & he received credit for it… well, I walked up to the «register» area where there were 2 ladies not helping the line of people they had. One lady was on her cell phone, the other was ignoring the line infront of her as she scribbled away on some paper. She finally addressed me and without a «hello» or «how are you» she gave me my subtotal which was near 2k. So I asked about their in store financing programs and as soon as I asked she said «there are no payment options. .you pay in full today.» I then advised her that i had purchased there in the past and had financed through one of their 3^rd party vendors but that I was ready to get a credit line directly through them. She then Said «well, to qualify you must have a really high credit score.» The tone in which she said it in was «you’ll never qualify for a line here.» I was in disbelief. There I was trying to get a couch and start a credit line through the company (which most company’s encourage) and she was being so unwilling to assist. So either ways, I applied, I was approved and she became much nicer after the fact (of course.) Now let’s get to loading. What a mess. I purchased my couch on a rainy day so when I picked up I came prepared with plastic. I waited in their loading line for 15mins and when I got to the front they told me they could not assist me with putting the plastic on my couch. I figured, okay — some type of policy. So there I was struggling to get the plastic on these massive couches by myself. So many people passed me by and saw my trying to lift these couches by myself and no one offered a hand. One of the workers even stood there for 5mins watching me struggle and didn’t say a peep. Well midways through me getting the plastic on the couches one worker approached me and asked me to move my truck stating «we need to help the next guests.» So after I finished guess what I had to do… wait in the loading line again. This has been the WORST customer service experience I have ever had. Everyone in the store seems unhappy and unwilling. I have purchased two items from this location and this will be my last! I will definitely share this experience with my friends and family. If you read this, I suggest you do the same. I strongly believe that furniture shopping should be a wonderful experience & I guarantee you won’t get that at this location.

This place is the WORST!!! I’ve never experienced such horrible customer service in my life, and that is not an exaggeration. I’m not going to name any names because I’m cognizant that this is how people make a living and you never know what one’s home situation looks like, but just know there is at least one salesman (the one who initially «greeted» me) that will say anything they can and use their «soft, caring» voice to sell you on their merchandise. I’ve been in sales myself but have never had to lie or scheme to be successful at it. One of the managers is even worse, backing up his scheming salesman knowing full well the salesman lied to me. He was condescending and rude from the get-​go and already had in mind what he was going to say before he even spoke to me. This is evidenced by the fact that I could barely get a word out before being interrupted by whatever he wanted to say. I could say so much more but I think you get the gist. Take heed and look elsewhere. I can’t even remember the last time I wrote a review, but this experience most certainly warranted one.

This is an outlet store and not a regular showroom. All the merchandise is just setting out in rows upon rows upon rows in a huge warehouse. Like any outlet store, they have seconds and surplus. Some pieces are damaged. I bought three recliners. New In Box. They did not deliver, so we picked them up at the loading dock and took them home. They are not the highest quality that money can buy, but that is the exact reason I was shopping at an outlet!!! I could not afford chairs that cost over $ 1000 each. I found several chairs I was interested in and then a salesman came to me and was very attentive. He took my order, explained the loading process, return process, etc. He made sure I knew all of the store policies before I made my purchase. When I was comfortable with the policies, then he took my credit card and I made the purchase. If you know in advance the type of store it is, you will have a good experience. Don’t expect a showroom with the designer rooms all displayed for you and someone to wait on you hand and foot. This is an outlet.

This place sucks. I went during the day on a weekday and they had several staff working. Not one of them greeted me or asked if I needed help. All of the merchandise is damaged and very expensive for damaged goods. Steer clear of this place

First the good news. Per Chad P.‘s suggestion, I used the customer service email address and got a great response. A regional manager called and was appalled. My friend got a $ 50 discount, the refund she requested; and the store manger, Rob, was most helpful. We walked out feeling much better due to a quick customer service-​friendly response.
Now the bad news. My friend called to schedule the delivery. The company she contacted had a miscommunication and knew nothing of the deliver. Once again, she got a supervisor who explained that something was wrong with his employee. Dude, we DON’T CARE. So, she wound up renting a moving truck, which cost more.
THEN we called to check on the status of the merchandise shipment. We got Donnie on the phone. Mysteriously, we got disconnected so my friend called back. She had to step away so she gave me the phone to settle up with Donnie. A very irritated Donnie gets on the phone and proceeds to chastise me for emailing RTG corporate at which point I threatened to write another email… and did.
There’s more but I think you get the idea. The prices are amazing for the product selection but make sure you have every single I dotted and every single T crossed while you’re dealing with these folks.

I am furnishing my apt. I just moved into. I called this store to get some details before I drove 30 min. away. I asked the lady who answered if they deliver to my area, she stated she didn’t know (I didn’t even tell her where yet) then she said she’ll give me the numbers of 6 different moving companies they use so I could call them and see. Reallyy??? So I ask if they had any couches in my price range, she said she didn’t know and to let her get a sales associate. The associate gets on the phone asks how she can help (the first woman obviously didn’t tel her) then as i’m starting to speak she says ‘Hellooo’ again in a real snotty voice, I said yes and asked her if they had any couches in my price range, in another snotty tone she says «I don’t know ma’am, I’d have to wall around the whole floor». What? Should’nt these people know what they are selling and how to get it to you? Without being so ruude to someone on the phone for no reason? Thanks, you lost my business and won a bad review.
