I just moved into an apartment and needed a washer/​dryer set. I browsed the ads on craigslist and one that stuck out was Steve Alden Appliances. The ad seemed the most genuine. When I called I spoke directly with Steve and told him I get off at 6 and won’t be home til 7 so I wanted to set the appointment for the following day when I got off earlier and he said it was no problem, they could do it that day in the evening after the shop was closed. That’s good service. I didn’t use the washer til after the following weekend and it was making a lot of noise. They set up a time and came out and fixed it, pretty damn quick too, and just like the first time I had them out, they worked around my schedule. If anything goes wrong in the future I know I can call them and it’ll be fixed at a good price. They came out for free this time because there was a 30 day guarantee. I am very happy with the service I received.

Super fast, next day delivery. However, when he brought the dryer, I turned it on and it would not get hot. He tried and decided the heating element needed replacing so he took the dryer. Brought it back same day and it worked just fine. A couple loads of laundry later and its no longer working. At all. We just moved so basically everything is needing washed. I called, no answer, I get a text back saying they’ll let me know when someone can come out. If they promptly fix this and it doesn’t break again the next day, I’ll change my rating. But I’m becoming more skeptical by the second. They have been very nice, and used appliances are a gamble but I chose them over a cheaper set because of the warranty. I didn’t realize I wouldn’t have a working set for more than a few hours at a time.
Edit: changed review to 4 stars. They came out the same day and brought a new dryer to replace the one that had broken a few times. Can’t ask for more than that!

They came out same day fixed a washer that i was told by another company to «just buy a new one». Mine is a front load Lg six years old. The tech had it fixed in thirty minutes parts and all 150. Sweet!!!

Purchased a washer and dryer set online without ever going into the store. They brought it to my home set it up and rushed back out twice to get everything just perfect for a picky customer. Highly recommend. I found Steve Alden Appliances through Craigslist while searching for a (used) washer and dryer set. I did a lot of research and window shopping at all of the major home improvement shops and finally decided that I just needed a used washer and dryer, one without the bells/​whistles. On Friday evening, I went to their website, bought a matching Whirlpool set for $ 400. They called me the next morning to arrange delivery and they were installed (and being tested-​out) at 11:30 a.m. the next day (Saturday) in Grapevine. Today is Sunday, and I’ve already done several loads of laundry. I couldn’t be happier with the ease of the experience, installation, quality of the machines and the fact that I saved myself the expense of a new washer/​dryer, about a thousand dollars! Our washer broke yesterday, and it wasn’t cost effective to repair. I did a quick google search and found a similiar model at Steve Alden Appliances and had it delivered and hooked up within 2 hours of calling. Fast, efficient, and excellent pricing. They also took our old washer and deducted the $ 25 delivery fee. Definitely check out the website to see what appliances they currently have in stock. All work and appliances come with a 30 day guarantee. The delivery driver wasn’t able to take ATM or credit card payment, only cash. However, I would check to see if you can just prepay over the phone if you want a specific appliance listed online and want it delivered immediately without having to drive out to the store. I definitely recommend.
