Super Target

On March 20 2016 I purchased an Xbox One along with several games as a gift for my little brother, keep in mind I paid full price for the console and games at the time of purchase. My brother has had the console for a little under a few weeks and he was only able to open the package and set his console up and didn’t really get a chance to play with the console. When we finally sit down to play with the console we are surprised to see the console does not work properly. The console restarts and restarts but will not allow us to move past the home page on the console. So we put the console back in the box and back in its original packaging which he still had and we learned from the packaging that the product was opened and repackaged to resell. This means I must have bought a defective or damaged opened good. That I paid full price for. Not only is this deceitful but very unprofessional as a respected company target is. So I take the console back to target and the managers in the electronics depart at first seem helpful but after a few minutes of stalling they advise me that they cannot help me since the product has been out longer than 30 days… Uh duh it was a gift some someone and the console does not even have more than two hours of being on because of the massive updates and of when I purchase the product and gave it to the recipient. So now I have to take my product to Microsoft who has done nothing wrong, send it in wait 29 days for them to determine what’s wrong with it and hope it can be replaced or repaired what ever the case might be. All because of the dishonest and sneaky workers of target that repackage opened Xbox consoles which I might add are locked up! So why would they be even Tampered with to begin with kinda sketchy if you ask me. The people were rude and after I explained to them that they sold me a repackaged unit they ignored me and forwarded me to Xbox. Great customer service Target. I would expect this from Walmart, but since I do drive several miles out of my way to shop at target to get good customer service along with great products it seems like I will no longer be shopping here. Be warned people always checks your electronics throughly when purchasing from this super target …

I LOVE Target but what’s even better than «regular» Target??? SUPER TARGET!!!
Ran in to grab a baby item and decided to hit the grocery side and get some food for our hotel room.
Only problem I though was that they have a TON of checkout lines… Like, I don’t know, 20??? And only 2 were open. So we kind of had a lengthy wait.

i have never in my life seen a Super Target. Because of this, I made it a point to stop in and check things out. I didn’t have a lot of time, but from what I saw I was in heaven. Huge parking lot, all things stocked well, inviting, well lit, lots of check out lanes with few people, an optical center and more. This Super Target is also on a strip of businesses and restaurants. Where can I find another one?! I’m stoked, especially since I needed more time in the optical center. Cool frames with $ 25 kid lenses! I didn’t get to check out the plus size women’s clothing section =(

I have to say I am beginning to get very disappointed with this Target.
Between an incident with the Optical department and this last time that I visited and stopped by the bathrooms (I have pictures as proof! Gross!)… this Target needs to up their customer service!
I don’t have much of a choice since this is on my way home vs. other Targets, however I might drive all the way to the one on Cedar Hill if this Target doesn’t start making some improvements.
First the situation with an associate in the Optical Department. I no longer have vision or dental insurance, and I wanted to call and see how much the price would be for an eye exam.
Tatum answered the phone, and she was less than pleasant.
I asked her what the prices would be for an eye exam without insurance. She responded with the Optical Department and the actual doctor’s office being two separate entities and that they were closed, so she didn’t have their prices.
Which I completely understand!
I asked her if she knew an estimate about how much it would be for an eye exam.
She asked me if it was for glasses or contacts, I told her it would be for both.
She said it would start at $ 140.
I asked her why does it make a difference in price for glasses and contacts?
(I had no idea, before it was much cheaper with insurance so I never thought to ask!)
She said because of the fitting fee.
I was a bit confused about what exactly a «fitting fee» is, so I tried to ask her what exactly that was.
Her response (condescendingly), «They fit your contacts».
I said, okay so how much would it be without contacts?
Her response, «As I already said the eye exam starts at $ 140 and goes up from there. But the office is closed so if you want to get that information you are going to have to call when they open».
I said okay thank you and hung up.
I should add the entire time that I spoke with her she was condescending and had an attitude as if I was wasting her time. A
As a customer calling for answers to questions I don’t know the answer to, the way she responded and answered my questions were as if I was stupid for not knowing the answer.
I then called the other Target in Cedar Hill, and they were much nicer and actually answered my questions.
If you just want an eye exam for glasses it’s $ 60, if it’s with contacts it starts at $ 140 — mainly because they try a pair on you and you get to keep it for however long they are for.
Also depending on whether you have stigmatism or any other issues or needs for your eyes the price can go all the way up to $ 170.

I felt much more informed and my questions were actually answered, and it was by someone in the same department — Optical. Who also (nicely) told me that the Dr’s office was closed, but that I could call the next day when they opened.
This Target in Grand Prairie though, part of customer service is answering questions about products. Sometimes we don’t know, and who else can we ask but the person that works there?

Now on to Strike #2,
I went in yesterday to get some groceries for dinner, I had drank a bit too much water and I had to go to the restroom — BAD.
I went into the store, and straight to the restroom.
There are four stalls.
Stall #1 — Filled with pee and nasty stuff.
Stall #2 — Had pee ON the seat
Stall #3 — Had nasty stuff in the toilet bowl
Stall #4 — Had pad on the floor
Stall #5 (HC) — Was fine.
I went to #5, while I’m using the restroom I hear two other customers come in and also witness the nasty stall and I heard a loud Ew! Gross!
When I was finished I went out to find an associate, I found two girls that were working on something in a cart next to the registers.
I asked them about the bathrooms, and who’s responsibility it is to take care of them?
Their response — «Oh why? Is it dirty? It’s the cart attendant’s responsibility»
I Informed them about the 4 stalls and how nasty they were.
One of the girl’s response: Yeah, that’s the cart attendant’s job. I’ll tell him to take care of it.
I told the girls, «When I used to work in Target it used to be the cashier’s responsibility to take care of the bathroom — I guess maybe that changed?»
One of them responded — «Yeah no, we don’t do that. The cart attendant does that».
In my mind I’m thinking… Who cares who’s responsibility it is? I know I asked that as the opener to my conversation… I shouldn’t have… but WHO CARES?
Take some pride in your work and take care of your store!
If the bathroom is disgusting take the initiative to take care of it… especially if a customer complains about it. Don’t just pass it off to the next person.
That’s not what Target teaches/​trains their employees to do.
I was very disappointed, I’m hoping there is no Strike #3… or I’ll drive all the way past Grand Prairie and go to Cedar Hill to go to THAT Target.

This is a really large Target and the layout is different than most other Targets. Mostly, everything is spread out. Pretty decent selection but nothing more than a regular Super Target. Still nice, clean Target.

For years I have tolerated the incompetency at this super target location because it is close. Today is the last time I will come here. The deli department has employees that are rude every time I go. They act as if they are being bothered by asking them to do their job. It is currently a busy holiday Saturday and there are three registers open. This is also a common occurrence. People are lined up 7 – 10 deep and there is not a manager in sight. The cashiers are cranky and slow. Mansfield’s service is 10 times better. I’ll drive the extra couple of miles.

I love target this is one of my favorite location and I like it better than the other target in GP. It’s really clean here and lots of inventory. I love how it has a big grocery section inside. I can shop for things and food. Love the staff here they’re super friendly. The restroom isn’t that Clean would be my only complaint.

I always find anything I’m looking for at super target! The only bad side to this is more walking and searching through more things.

I really have to say target is a nice store to shop in. It’s well lit, the prices are easy to see. I just wish they weren’t so pricey and they had better specials than they do. I love coming to look and browse around… I just can’t afford to shop here everyday. I think if they were a little more competitive on their prices they could get even more people through their doors.

Target is pretty much my favorite store ever and this location is probably my favorite of all the Targets in DFW. Their clearance is awesome, employees are friendly, and I always walk out of the store with more than I originally intended to buy.
My only issue with this store is the lines. You can grab two items and wait forever in line! Sometimes the express line is not even open so you have to go wait in a regular line behind people with a cart full of items. This store rarely has more than 3 – 4 registers open at a time. Why have 20+ registers if you never use them? That’s my only complaint but the awesomeness of the store makes up for me spending more time in line than I spend in the store.

They usually have really nice people that work here. This place is clean, organized, and well maintained.

Staff is always friendly and the store is always clean. Anthony, the younger kid who was helping out in electronics, was very helpful and nice. We were clueless and he took good care of us. If you have any questions about video games/​systems, ask him!

Super fast returns. Like seriously fast. I bought the wrong size lampshade and took it to the customer service counter and the whole return process took less than 3 minutes. I was so impressed. Customer service here is on point.
I love how there is a Starbucks in here. It’s perfect for when I need my after work fix during my grocery run.
The only reason why I am not giving this place 5 stars is because their produce section can be a little ratchet. The fruits aren’t always the freshest and I’ve witnessed some sad looking greens. I do appreciate their somewhat extensive section of gluten free stuff for my glutarded sister.
Overall, I’m really glad I have a Target so close to home.

I wish I could give this place a 3.5 stars, because it’s really in between3 and 4 for me. I give it a 4, because it really is worth it for me to pay more to not shop at walmart with «ghetto» customers AND cashiers! You would never see the cashier at target with their phone out and texting someone right in front of you!
But downsides is not just prices alone; but some of the employees aren’t up to par at this location. One time I asked an employee where a face mask (for gardening, allergies or any of the sort), and I had to be directed to 5 different people at every end of the store and I left with guess what — nothing.
Another time I was there the cashier was checking me out and had put my raw chicken in the same bag as my hot dogs and deli meats. I asked her to please place them in separate bags because the chicken was raw while the others would not be cooked. Her remark to me was «it doesn’t matter because they are in plastic wraps.» I worked albertson’s for 5 years, and this was NOT what we were told. At Albertson’s we were told to keep raw foods separate from any other products to prevent cross contamination!
Another time I was at there I was at their target café. I was at the counter for almost 5 minutes saying «excuse me, I’m sorry to bother you, excuse me, hello.» And then finally someone pops up from the back. He just comes up to the register and doesn’t even acknowledge me. So I just say «hi can I go ahead and buy this (pizza). He then rings me up, I scan my credit card and he just walks away. My receipt then prints out and I surely grabbed that receipt to do a survey. Thought it was super rude of him to not even say a word to me the entire time!
These were my most eventful stories of this location. I come here 3 – 4 times a week. I love that it’s clean, not so crowded and had most things I need. Even with the few events of poor customer service, I would definitely choose this place over walmart any day!

I love this particular location. It’s relatively new so the place is super clean! There’s also a good selection of sizes for clothes and shoes — this location is either well stocked or there’s less traffic. Either way it makes shopping way more convenient.
I also notice that they tend to have a huge clearance section, especially after holidays. After Halloween, they still had a big selection of dog costumes and of course, regular costumes both for 50−75% off!
In terms of clothing and shoes, the layout is friendly unlike some other Target locations. Shoes are usually organized well and easy to find. The clothing area has a good layout, easy to find all sections and the fitting rooms are super clean.
the parking lot is huge as usual and since it’s located next to Marshall’s and Home Depot, the walk is convenient!

Super Target is like Walmart to me, but with respectable people shopping there. In other words, you don’t have to worry about seeing some 300 lb woman shopping in a bikini. That being said, I only give Super Target 3 stars because their organic selection is very lacking… and they don’t sell Mallowmars or regular flavor Arizona Iced Tea. In other words, I can’t do ALL my shopping there. ;)
Other than that it’s got everything you would expect to find; groceries, kitchen, bath, clothing, electronics, toys, etc. Fully loaded. As for the prices, I don’t find them to be all that competitive. 10 cents here, 20 cents there… such small amounts don’t make it worth it to use the extra gas to drive somewhere else in an attempt to save more money.

I’m spoiled by the Super T in Cedar Hill. This one’s not as big or as nice as the one in Cedar Hill, but nice still.

First let me preface this review by saying I. Not a coupon person nor am I an ad shopper. Months ago a friend of mine gave me 6 coupons for $ 4 each off Glade diffusers. I haven’t been able to find this product and had forgotten about them.
Sunday I was at Target shopping and happened down the air freshened aisle and noticed they had the diffusers and picked up 6 of them. Keep in mind I had over $ 130 in other merchandise in my cart and no other coupons.
So I get through the checkout and the clerk tells me that she can only take 4 of my coupons. I said that I was purchasing 6 of the products. She said it didn’t matter that she could still only take 4 of the coupons. I said to her, so you’re going to have me complete this transaction and have to get back in line and wait to check out these two air fresheners? She said yes.
My only regret is that I didn’t just leave all the merchandise there and leave. I finished the transaction, stepped one counter over which was an express lane and paid for the two air fresheners with my last two coupons. Simply inconvenient.

While I was in TX for a family reunion, I stopped here with some family members who were shopping. I love Target and the layout here was the same, with lots of midrange options of food/​clothing/​accessories/​pharmacy/​beauty/​outdoors/​etc.
However, the standout for me was their Optical. I stopped into the Optical store to replace a nose guard on my glasses that fell off. I let them know that I purchased the glasses elsewhere and they changed the nose guards for me. When I asked the price, I was told that it was a courtesy and no charge. That gets 5 stars for me and I was in and out in 5 minutes or less. Too bad I don’t live here because I would go back, just for that type of service. Much better than at WalMart Optical where I purchased my last pair of specs and they charge $ 2 for this service.

I looooove Target, and this is my favorite one! I seriously go to this place at least EVERY week if not 2 – 3 times a week. It’s 5 minutes away from my house and there are tons of other cool stores surrounding this place which makes it very convenient when I want to get all my errands done in a short amount of time.
Everything is always really clean and people there have always been really helpful and nice. After about 5 minutes of standing there looking clueless because I don’t know where my product I’m searching for is located at, someone always comes up and asks if I need any help. They never have a shortage of people walking around to help you find things or reach for things on the top shelf (I’m a shorty so unfortunately that’s a big deal for me, 5′ feet to be exact)
What’s even better is that sometimes I use coupons here and at other places cashiers can be pretty rude to couponers but I’ve never had a problem or have been treated badly.
