Every time we order from here it’s amazing. We get the pork tamales and the Masa is always so smooth, or the Pozole the only complaint i have is that the line is sooooo long sometimes

My taco place to go… ALWAYS! I love their bistec tacos so perfect and it’s the closes I can get other then going to Michoacan and eating them their. I use to love it when they were wrapped in foil paper, made the feel a little more authentic, and their Aguas frescas are also yummy. Drive thru will usually take about 30 minutes to get your food, it’s worth the wait. Price is getting kinda pricy at a dollar something each, but still worth it every now and them. Don’t do dine-in place is kinda funky and tables were kind of dirty, I mean it is a taqueria inside of a gas station, but again the tacos are BOMB!

Pretty good tacos, the horchata was a little too sweet for me but you should still try it, so close to my house, will definitely visit again.

The tacos were so good and so was the pozole. The rice and beans were on point. The lady at the counter was very nice too

Just had the best pozole soup ever. I’m about to fall asleep from eating too much of it.

The food taste great at Taco Azteca for the price. I feel that in the area, it is easily the best tasting tacos I have had. There was a time when Taco Azteca was my go to restaurant in the area because of the taste and the price. So why the 1 star? Well, a couple weeks ago, I decided to eat here after classes. Afterwards, I ended up with food poisoning for the next 10 days. I have heard in the past that this was an issue but I never experience an issue so I thought nothing of it. If you are willing to take the risk, feel free to go here.

The food is good from my experience. However as a dine-in restaurant, it could definitely use a renovation. While this is a small dive restaurant inside of a gas station, the dining area is dirty and booths are tattered and torn(very uncomfortable). But they do have a drive through and all the food I’ve ordered from there tastes great! I couldn’t decide between 3 or 4 stars, but to help a local family business I gave it 4 stars for the food, which is very good and authentic. Please see what can be done about updating the dining area. I don’t particularly like having to get posole or enchiladas«to-go».

You really can’t go wrong with street tacos. I get my usual trio: chorizo, steak & chicken. No onions(of course), cilantro & limes. Their corn tortillas are good. I also had a churro that was filled with caramel, real good!

Love it! Real authentic food. Inside is small but the food and service make up for it.

Ask for the receipt or look at before you leave. they will over charge you. They add extra things that you don’t order. I had an accident to where they charged for an extra plate once I got home my wife looked at the receipt and called and spoke to the lady there she agreed that they over charged me. Once she went to pick up the money the son there had an attitude and very rude. Last time I will be going there. I found another Mexican restaurant that is way better it’s called GUANATACO on Beltline and Pioneer next to insurance company. You can look them up and they have better food too and ratings for good customer service unlike this restaurant.

Being a real taco passionate I really liked the tacos. I don’t give them a higher rating because they don’t compare to the original tacos from Mexico that’s love and enjoy. But I give them a 3.5 cause they were acceptable. I recommend :)

Poor quality. Restaurant was filthy. Flies EVERYWHERE. Hot sauce and sour cream are 90% water. Just not the same as it used to be. Save your money!

We decided to give this place a try since we live nearby. We were disappointed and will not be going back! The food is average plus they skimp on the ingredients so we feel we were overcharged. There are other Authentic Mexican restaurants in GP that are better(El Atoron on Main, Guanataco on Belt Line, Pollo Salsa on Pioneer, & of course Dallas Tamale & Tortilla Factory on Small Hill)

If your closeby and want some authentic Mexican food it’s not too shabby here. I usually just get tacos or flauntas. They have elotes there as well and it’s ok. This place is connected to a gas station. I don’t crave this much but it’s nearby so I stop by. It’s open late on weekends too if you want a late night dinner after the club. The staff is nice and does not speak English well but enough to help you. It’s small here you can dine in if you want and they do have a drive thru.

Love this place!!! The tacos are amazing and the elotes are to die for. It’s in a small town but very warm and welcoming. The customer service is bomb and they are really sincere here. If you’re looking for some bomb Mexican food, come to Azteca!!! Whenever I’m really craving churros, I would always stop by here before coming because they have churros from the churro factory with caramel filling that oozes out when you bite into them. One of the world’s wonder IMHO!

Either I’m just in a taco phase or Tacos Azteca makes me crave for more. Their lunch specials aren’t too shabby. I go for the 3 tacos plate fwith rice, beans, lettuce, cilantro, onions, and tomatoes for 4.99. I’m not a huge fan of beans, but I eat these with the rice(: Even if I don’t finish it, someone next to me would love to do the honors lol. All the people behind the counter that I have dealt with have been nothing but helpful and friendly. The three that I order are pastor, lengua, and barbacoa. They are very generous with the meat portions, and I’ve never had a problem with dry meat. Their torta wasn’t bad. You can even order it with three different meats. I ordered it with pastor, but I think it would have been even better with barbacoa. It comes with a side of fries that aren’t bad either. They sell individual tacos for $ 1.40 each, and don’t charge extra for lengua. They’re open Sunday — Thursday 6:30am — 12:00am. Friday-Saturday 6:00am-4:00am!!! Great for late night cravings!

Their tacos are eh as far as I’m concerned. But their elote? Oh. My. Gosh. So good. This will be my new go-to spot for elote. Now I will just have to make a pit stop at the grocery store so I can have a never ending supply of Valentina or Mexican hot sauce to keep at home. Elote = yumminess. Apparently they serve elote in a cup or on the cob. Mind blown. Their churros are delicious as well. A deep fried churro stuffed with a cheesecake filling? Um, yes please.

Hard to go wrong here, but we are only judging by the tacos and have only been once(we plan to return to try other items). The crunchy taco shells were quite fresh, perhaps even fried as I ordered. Some of the meats we tried were dry, but all were flavorful. We’ll be back!
