I have lived in 616 Lofts on Ionia for over a year and the management has gone above and beyond all expectations. Anytime I have a maintenance request or a question they are very quick to reply and work on anything that needs to be done. They do a wonderful job reaching out to the community and working with different business that encourage me as a resident to explore the city of Grand Rapids. I am a single, young professional living in this building. Here is a short pro and con list of my time living here so far: Pros –living downtown in close proximity to restaurants, bars, entertainment, etc –community events so I can meet other residents in my loft and other 616 lofts –amenities include all lofts equipped with a washer and dryer, hard wood floors, carpeted rooms, granite countertops, new appliances –maintenance well kept on the building and individual units –616 pass discounts at many business downtown including restaurants, dry cleaning, dog walking, boutiques, coffee shops, gym memberships and more –pet friendly –friendliness of 616 tribe Cons –as expected with downtown living, parking is extra and across the street from the building –noise from other tenants and outside, specifically living on Ionia it can be noisy on the weekends outside if your unit faces one of the main streets and you can sometimes hear other tenants

The staff at 616 Cherry/Grandville were helpful and accommodating during our recent apartment move. It was great to have such a responsive contact and get quick, honest answers.

I’ve had nothing but great experiences in the 10 months I’ve been living at 616 Lofts on Pearl. The apartment where I live first charmed me with a wonderful location smack dab in the middle of downtown Grand Rapids, along with a clean and recently renovated living environment. I’m grateful to wake up every day and look out my window to see Rosa Parks Circle, along with all of my favorite downtown restaurants and shops. My building was built in the late 1800’s and has a pretty façade, but the interior is modern and secure feeling. As a result of living at 616, I’ve met lots of great people I wouldn’t have been connected to had I been living somewhere else. 616 seems to draw a friendly, professional and active group of residents that vary widely in age. Regular resident events provide fun activities that connect people from different buildings, and the people who work at 616 are a friendly bunch to talk to as well. Not to mention I regularly use my keycard to get discounts at a lot of different bars, shops and restaurants downtown. Everything is accessible from my apartment, so on days that I need to run to the secretary of state, bank, post office and grab lunch, I can do so because they’re only a few blocks away from each other. The Grand River is nearby and I love being able to walk my little dog there(who also lives with me). Parking is one drawback to many downtown apartments, regardless of which because many buildings don’t have their own lots, but I pay for monthly parking in the garage next to my building because it’s convenient. I especially recommend 616 to professionals who work near downtown, students, and those who are moving to Grand Rapids from other places and want to quickly connect to the downtown community.

I live in 616s Kendell building and absolute love it! The apartment is brand new and has every amenity you would possibly want esp. love the in unit w/d and the rooftop. The building is really nice and clean with a keypad lock that makes me feel safe. It is in a perfect location with restaurants, bars, shopping, music venues, etc. all walking distance! The building owners/staff is really friendly and always answers maintenance requests quickly. An extra perk is the building plans/hosts fun events for members to attend a couple times a month and the 616 pass gets you discounts at a lot of bars/restaurants/shops around town! Overall absolutely love my apartment and would recommend to anyone moving to the area!
