A wonderful offering in a vacuum of outdoor stores in West Michigan. However, no decent promos, or knowledgeable/helpful staff make this place a necessary disappointment for all. If you’re not into high prices or name brands, you are destined to be at least disappointed if not disgusted with B&P. They have a decent selection of nearly every outdoor brand worth knowing. I’ve had ski servicing done here in the winter. They’re relatively quick and do a great job. Their ski and snow collection is impressive. Looking. For race poles? Check. Specific Full Tilt ski boots? Check check. Without too much to chose from, you’ll be able to find something which works for the Burg or Stevens Pass(WA.) As for hiking/climbing/biking/camping gear, I can attest the same type of review, they have most off hat you’ll need. They may only have one item to choose from, but you’ll leave with everything you need for the adventure.

Stopped into Bill and Paul’s on Friday afternoon at 215pm. The store wasn’t busy. Not one of the 6+ employees greeted me while I walked around the shoe department and then upstairs to outerwear. I tried on several coats… still no greeting. I left without purchasing anything and will go elsewhere for my outdoor needs.

High end products for all your winter/sports gear needs with a very knowledgable staff! Expensive items, but you definitely get the quality you pay for! Go on ‘double buck’ days to get $ 2 store credit back on every $ 5 you spend.

I’m surprised they haven’t been reviewed before. They’ve been around for a long time. They have always had good people, products and service. Recently, my kayak rack(«Hullavator») needed repair. I’ve had it for six or seven years, and there are lots of moving parts, plus it’s had a lot of hard use. They took it in with the attitude that it should be ‘guaranteed.’ I was surprised when two weeks later, they called: all the guts were new. They installed it on the top of my van for me, and off I went – no charge. Can’t beat that. I’ve sent them a number of new kayak buyers over the years, and never regretted it.
