Back in December, I asked Ben, the branch manager, about the new fees being incurred on my account. He told me that even though I’d been with the bank for years, they weren’t going to honor my current account any longer. I informed him that I was going to shop around other banks at that point. This must have upset him, because he, without my permission, CLOSEDMYACCOUNT and froze all my assets! I’ve read that Chase bank managers have the complete authority to do this at their own will. When you get the chance, shop around for a bank that has better customer service(I’ve found PNC has excellent customer relations) and move your funds from Chase to your new bank. Chase’s behavior is outrageous and I’ve filed complaints with the BBB regarding this location in Grand Rapids.
