If I remember correctly, I think there used to be apartments above the store. If this is the right place, I used to live in an apartment above the store. Does anyone else remember what else this store used to be before it was Denym? I’m on Facebook messenger, so you can write me.

Definitely the nicest clothing store on the Westside. Great selection of premium jeans and top end casual wear. Some dressier items for women. This place is NOT as expensive as many people think. Maybe a notch up from J Crew. One of the very few high end casual menswear shops in Grand Rapids. My wife and I go here all the time and always find something worth picking up.

Was in town overnight and wandered over to this cool new shop. Great selection of very current men’s and women’s clothing. Shop was well organized with great lighting and prompt service. A nice alternative to your typical mall shopping. Cool watering holes nearby in case you get thirsty as well.

High end clothing shop with reasonable prices in a great neighborhood. Great for both genders. Awesome and knowledgeable staff — I think she was the owner, actually.

I don’t like clothes shopping. I mostly just grab the size and brand that I’ve worn before and call it a day. And that’s why it seems odd for me to like my experience at Denym. The first pair that I tried looked good, and fit nicely so I was about to buy them and call it a day. However, the owner asked me to try on another pair in a slightly different fit. So I did… and they fit much, much better. I never would have tried them on had she not been there. And the fact that they had multiple fits in my size so I could quickly see the difference, made it easy. I ended up buying two pairs of jeans, and several nice looking shirts. In a matter of minutes I was able to accomplish something that I usually agonize for hours doing… clothes shopping. Living in Chicago, I typically go to Bloomingdale’s or Macy’s. This was so much better. Manageable selection, multiple fits, roomy and clean fitting rooms, and someone there to quickly help me figure it all out. The only drawback is that the store is 2.5 hours from home. Considering I’ve often had to go to multiple stores in Chicago and spend the better part of a day to get jeans, a roundtrip drive now doesn’t seem so crazy.

West side is the best side! And Denym rocks the premium men’s and women’s jeans and clothing you need to look hot to trot on this side of town! I stopped in Thursday evening for a look-see around. I immediately fell in love with the minimalist décor and downtown, breezy vibe of this denim bar. In addition to the array of chic jeans, they have a ton of cute dressy and casual shirts, belts, bags, scarfs, and jewelry to dress up your jeans. My husband is going to go ga-ga for this place because they have the style of shirts and accessories he likes. For the shopaholics out there, Denym reminds me of AllSaints with a dash of JCrew. As such, the prices are a bit higher, but you are assured the quality, customer service and style that comes along with that. And really, can you put a value on everyone complementing and being jealous of your look all night long? Priceless. Located on Bridge Street just kitty-corner from O’Tooles, they have street parking and a lot just around the corner. Rest assured Denym, I will be back when I have more time to try everything on!
