Wonder pizza selection and nice service. I frequent this place regularly. Tasty eats especially for lunchtime.

Alright… so I was in Grand Rapids for the first time last weekend and didn’t realize it was a college town. Needless to say, there was a booze a plenty! One evening after the Janet Jackson concert(don’t judge) we visited the local watering holes. Walked in sober walked out blasted. Damn you jäger! While walking back to the hotel we stumbled past Georgios and decided to self medicate with a slice. I got the sausage pepperoni, mac and cheese with bacon and some other slices I don’t remember. To my surprise the pizza was awesome! Crispy yet chewy crust and flavorful. Just in case it was the booze, I tried it sober the next day and it was just as good ;)

I’ve been to Georgio’s many times since my initial review, spanning from lunch time get it and go stop in, to last call pizza slices at the end of a bar night. It’s pretty hard to mess up pizza and since they offer some wacky topping combinations along with more standard fare, their selection meets everyone’s taste buds. I can’t say that it’s the very best pizza in the world, but it’s hot, fresh, and warmed up in their stove oven right when you order, which is a nice touch. They offer side salads, soda, beer, and small desserts as well. Service gets a little slow with what often seems to be limited staff members per shift, but the workers are typically courteous to guests making the wait in the cafeteria style ordering line, not so bad. I guess my biggest peeve about this location of Georgio’s is the clientele, which I realize the restaurant itself can’t control. During the day it’s often business workers but it’s a wild card mix of who you will get after like, 4pm, especially on the weekends. Creepster dude alone in the corner watching you eat: you might get that. Stoned college kids in the middle of the day eating quietly, completely zoned out: saw them. A large family with children screaming and running around at an unusually late hour for young kids: seen that too. Group of bros hitting on every female that walks by; yep. Large group of bachelorettes hitting you; well, well, well, it’s your lucky night, they’re here too.

There’s always going to be a long line. If you want to beat the rush try walking here from your designated bar before last call. Tip to management: I really appreciate that Georginos is open so late. You have tons of options for those late night cravings and you cater to the notorious and obnoxious drunks that no one else in the city wants to deal with. That takes a lot of patience and your staff works really hard to make everyone happy! But despite your huge blackboard of options, there are no vegans options. I’m not vegan, I don’t think I could ever be vegan, but I asked the clerk and he said the sauce base has cheese. I’m quite surprised and told my vegan friends they couldn’t eat here. It was a sad moment that divided our late night dining experience. With all those ingredients on the board? I wish I could say you could cater to all :(we would have waited and I’m sure we would have paid extra for your time! Overall this place is where most college kids go for reheated giant slices of pizza. Customers basically point to whichever type of pizza they want(everything is on display) and staff will heat your slice in the oven for a few minutes. Pizza is pizza. I’ve had better, but I frequent here when I’m in the mood to party and nothing else is open. I wouldn’t come here otherwise.

Best drunk food, but it’s only okay when you’re sober.

As a fan of Georgio’s East Lansing for two decades, I am very happy to get a slice of Baked Potato Pizza right in Downtown GR. It’s tasty(and slightly pricey) pizza, and there are so many choices! Taco Pizza, Mac & Cheese Pizza, Greek Pizza, and of course, Pepperoni Pizza… Located right by HopCat, go checkout Georgio’s today!

This place is pretty amazing when you’re drunk on Ionia and really need a bite to eat. There is a lot to choose from, and the pizza is delicious! I do find it really obnoxious how long it takes to get a slice on a night it’s busy. I swear I’ve waited in line at times for half an hour, but it’s still worth it when you need some good drunk food!

I’m only giving 4 stars because every time I’ve been here I’ve been drunk so I don’t know what it tastes like sober. The menu is huge and you can order any slice of pizza you want even if it’s not ready for the oven. This will make sense when you get there because they have pizza that has been prepared but not cooked. My go-to choice is the Mac n Cheese pizza with a couple sides of ranch and it’s amazing.

I have been here a few times & have liked each pizza I have tried, The white pizza is really good, the potato bacon I really like the idea of but kind of wish the potatoes were slightly softer on the pizza. Love that there is a place I can walk to from work & grab a slice of pizza! Tuesdays are double stamp day too! It takes a few minutes to get your slice. You select what you want & they run it thru the oven to warm it for you. Slices are pretty big — 2 will definitely fill you up! Staff is generally pretty friendly.

So I have now been to both of these restaurants and I will say that although the pizzas and selections are equally good I would choose the location on 28th street in the future. While I was at the down town location I had 3 separate pan handlers come into the restaurant and ask for money as well as one person I have to assume was drunk or on drugs walk in and stumble to my table and stand there for a few minutes before walking back out. While I know this isn’t the restaurants fault and the food was still very good, for the ambiance and the ability to enjoy my meal with friends and family without interruption I will choose the 28th street location in the future.

Ordered a pizza from Amway Grand Plaza for delivery– they did not know where it was and asked for the address. The hotel is less than a quarter mile away, not to mention a GR landmark. Asked for extra sauce and got no sauce. Pizza was bland and too doughy. Would never eat there again. I’ve had store bought pizzas that were better. Does not taste homemade, more like premade processed junk.

Food: 10/10…we had the Mac&cheese pizza, Greek pizza and the Gyro pizza and by far the MAC&cheese pizza was the best and DONOT get the gyro pizza. I like gyros a lot and that didn’t taste good. The Greek was amazing too. Service: 6⁄10 Cleanliness: 6⁄10 Price: $

Great selection of unique flavored pizzas. They also have beer on tap, limited selection, but more than it would have expected for this place. I had my kids with me, they loved playing the old school video games(so did I).

Great selection of pizzas at great prices. You can get it by the slice too… everything from a gyro pizza to a Mac and cheese pizza! For a one topping 12″ it’s 12.99 and I had some to take home. Highly recommend the breadsticks. You only need one slice though, they are huge. Another reason for my 5 star was the service. Quick and friendly. They also don’t mind fixing things. Our first order of bread sticks came out burnt. I took them back and they have us perfect ones within a few minutes.

Amazing, the craziest kinds of pizza that fit everyone’s taste buds. If they don’t have a slice you want they will make a whole pizza just to sell you a slice. Mac and cheese is my favorite so far.

Pizza varieties looked good. Lots of choices, co-diner estimated them to be average quality. I had a chicken breast salad, iceburg lettuce(fresh) green peppers snapped and were sweet, chicken was abundant, pleasantly surprised, have to try the za next time, when I can endure the greasy side of life.

Not really what I would call traditional pizza, but I will go back in a heartbeat! Great pizza and friendly staff. A wonderful additional to the Ionia AV Strip!
