I really enjoy come my here. The environment is very laid back and has a variety of seating to include picnic tables, bar height tables and standard height. The food is incredible and great for the price, I recommend the brisket as it has become my favorite. I have had the waffle fries, which is a large portion and could be good for two. The sweet and spicy slaw is also good along with the Bacon n Squash Hash. I enjoy this place so much I am working my way down the menu. So if you are in the area I highly recommend stopping in. To top things off the also have a nice variety of beer’s on tap. There are also fountain Coke products.

Third update. Went in to Horseshoe today for lunch and got the pork butt sandwich, and it was the best I’ve had yet!(I almost always order this sandwich.) The bread I think may have changed, and it’s perfect! It’s just the right amount of crusty and so soft inside. It holds up well with the pork but isn’t so crusty that it rips up your mouth when you eat it! I also got the crispy Brussels sprouts again, and I think they’re different too. They had a vinegary flavor, much like the flavors I think of when I think of collard greens. So good! Horseshoe also has beer on tap now, at some of the best prices I have seen in town. NO beer is more than $ 4! A steal, especially for Founders, Vander Mill, and Shorts. They’re open for dinner now on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. One more thing, they do daily features now. Check their Facebook page( ) each day. I saw they posted brisket nachos one day and I drove right over! If you like BBQ, check this place out. Everyone I’ve taken there LOVES it, and I just converted a Slows fan today.

Alright… I know I wasn’t in Texas but damn this place had some bomb BBQ. I got the Frankie combo with a pork rib, buttermilk chicken wings and brisket that made ya moist. For sides, I got the fried okra and crispy Brussel sprouts. Both pretty legit… Get me my Lipitor!

Let’s start off by saying… I know nothing about BBQ but have had my fair share of BBQ. I have been meaning to try this place ever since they opened but kept forgetting it existed. There was more hype for other BBQ places opening that I feel like this got the back burner. I’m glad I got to try it out today. Walking in is a casual inviting atmosphere with shared seating or the option to sit privately with your own party. No table service just order and wait. Personally I like no table service sometimes, I don’t have to worry about being bugged. The wait was short and soon the food was in front of my eyes. The size of the ribs were impressive. A great skin on the outside and good meat on the inside. The flavor wasn’t anything overly impressive but I wasn’t disappointed either. What I did absolutely love was the crispy Brussels sprouts. I love Brussels. I love bacon. I love garlic. This was the trifeca of all three in one side dish. I will say this much. Horseshoe will get me to come back definitely to have more of those suckers! I kinda want more right now ha!

Went here because of the news that they had«Texas style brisket». The actual is very far from that. The appearance of the brisket itself was a very fatty, unorganized, poorly cut, greasy mess. Then, the actual taste was about the same. Not anywhere close to Texas style smoked brisket. I did not try any of the other meats on the menu, so they may be better. Hopefully their pitmaster will figure it out soon.
