Love this store as far as tack stores go. Yes, they can be expensive. If you’re looking for cheap, online is the place to be. Millbrook has great customer service, and the recent renovations to the store have been a great update. The only place I’ll go for my horse shopping.

A whole lot of nothing… the place is an enormous warehouse. So why is it they seem to carry absolutely nothing?! I tried going back today after deciding 2 yrs ago not to return– I actually had a gift card that day and just bought fly spray to use it up then handed it to the guy in line behind me to use up the balance so I didn’t have to go back. They seem to never have basic tack or riding clothing items I need, and each time they don’t have what I need, a salesperson tries to talk me into something I don’t want and that won’t work. I have a black English saddle. Today I went there to buy black reins and a black leather girth. A wall of reins in the English hunter/jump section — every one is BROWN. The size girth I need — no leather, only fake leather or nylon. So once again I drove 45 minutes to get there for nothing today for the first time after giving up on them 2 years ago. Every time I leave there I just feel frustrated and disappointed. I’ve tried to buy breeches there before… VERY limited selection, only small sizes and the most expensive brands — I couldn’t find any for much under $ 100 when I found a perfect pair of cotton TuffRider breeches on the east side of the state for $ 35. Let’s be real… I want to wear them in a barn with my horse, grooming, riding, etc — we don’t just wear riding pants for shows. When a $ 125 pair didn’t look good on me, the saleswoman came running with a $ 35 girdle trying to sell me that along with the pair of pants that just didn’t look good and fit awful instead of simply admitting they don’t carry much selection and had nothing that would fit and look good. They have enormous sections of men’s boots and men’s clothes and of tacky sparkly cheap cowgirl t-shirts — but I never see anybody buying those things. I pretty much always see people trying to shop in the English dept, which is very small and has very limited selection and is very high priced. I tried to find a cavason there another time I went — they didn’t carry them. They carry pretty much the same halters as you can find at TSC or Family Farm & Home — nothing great or different. Same thing with horse care products and saddle/tack products. Sales staff is friendly and the person who helped me today was very nice… but the thing they do of «We don’t have what you want… buy what you don’t want instead so we make money!» thing is annoying. If you don’t know how to get to the store off the highway, you’re lost. Hard to find and get to unless you’re local and/or have been there before so you know the way in.

I’ve been going to Millbrook on and off for years, had a horse when I was younger and recently flipped from Western to English and swung by for boots and breeches. Was Jackie ever helpful! She didn’t make me feel rushed and was happy to work with my budget(not all of us can afford $ 190 breeches). She also took her time helping me with boots as well and gave great recommendations. I’d definitely recommend working with her if you are newer to English riding or might be intimidated by the wide selection of clothing and boots available. Not to mention the store is chock full of so much fun horse stuff, I could wander around for hours.

Poor customer service. For the amount of employees vs customers you would think they would be egger to help and encourage sale. Sadly this isn’t the first time I have encountered lack of engagement from the staff. I like there selection but its not enjoyable experience having to hunt down and bother the staff.

Everyone there was friendly and helpful! I exchanged a pair of dressage chaps that I had received that were the wrong size, and I did not have a receipt. I love shopping at this store for my riding needs.

The best Tack & Trailer slash western wear store in the state, in my opinion. They have a superb selection, they have reasonable prices, and they have a huge location. You name it, they probably have it. and unlike other places in the state, they actually carry most everything in stock(as opposed to having to «order it» from a catalog without being able to see and touch it). This includes their hat, clothing, and boots selection. Cowboy up here with 5 spurs, er I mean stars.
