At first look it’s cute. Then if you look a little closer you’ll notice the stations are dirty from the last customers. Old tissue and implements that have not been put in the barbicide jar. I watched the girl reuse a brush she has previously used on her last client on my friend. When I asked if she sanitized it before she used it again she said yes. She lied I watched the whole thing. The only thing she sanitized was her hands, thankfully. And it literally felt like she was cutting me with a razor blade… It hurt soo bad. Would never go back I’ll stick to waxing

I got my eyebrows and lashes done here. She didn’t focus on my eyebrows very long and I thought she could of done a better job. Then not even a week later I am missing chunks in my eyelashes. Keep in mind I have been following the rules with them. And when she did them it stung so bad I almost asked her to stop. I know it’s not to sting but it was so bad I was crying and going blind. Would not recommend this place.

I would not recommend getting your eyebrows threaded here. I used to go to Fantastic Eyez, which used to be in the mall, so when they moved and NY Thread had a Groupon available, I figured I would give this place a shot. To start off, the threading itself isn’t supposed to be incredibly painful; however, the first time I went it hurt really bad(because they were threading my skin along with the hair) and I walked out with stinging, bright red eyebrows that stayed red for a good couple of days. I went back to get my brows done again thinking that maybe it could have just been the person who did them but sure enough the same thing happened again with a different lady. Also, after they are finished threading they don’t put anything on your brows to soothe them. At Fantastic Eyez they would put witch hazel on them to help reduce the redness and ease the stinging. I would recommend to people if they want to get their eyebrows threaded, go to Fantastic Eyez which has a new location across(the road) from the food court and next to Seoul Garden. They do a nicer job and your eyebrows won’t hurt nearly as bad.

This is one of those times that Groupon actually worked for me. I walked in on Saturday morning, hoping to get in for a quick threading appointment. The staff member was friendly and welcoming and immediately got to work on my brows. The entire appointment took maybe 15 minutes, which was perfect for my busy Saturday morning. If you’ve never had your brows threaded, it’s not exactly painless, but I find it easier to endure than waxing. The salon is sparse but clean. The only uncomfortable thing was that I found the salon to be offputtingly well lit — I would say the lighting is similar to something that would be present in surgery. Other than that I liked my visit. I used a Groupon for my first visit, but a normal visit is only $ 12. They are located in Woodland Mall, near one of the side entrances by Macys. I was able to quickly sneak out the side door, without too many people seeing my bright red eyebrows!

The woman who did my eyebrows was talking on her cellphone when I approached the store, when she walked me to my chair, and as she started threading my eyebrows. As if having your hair ripped out of your face wasn’t overwhelming enough, imagine someone arguing in a different language on the phone inches from your face! I’ll admit, she did a great job and my brows look great, but it wasn’t worth the added stress. Glad I saved with a Groupon, but wouldn’t come here again.
