Let me first say, the room itself was nice, the pool great… but I had two complaints. 1st one isnt really a big deal, but something to consider… the breakfast. They only have one waffle maker and dont have a dispenser for the mix… it is individually prepared in a back room then set out in cups with lids for you to use. I have a family of 5. When we went to make waffles there were only 3 portions ready… I made the first 3 and handed them out to the kids(no cup had enough to even make a full waffle)… I finally had to go to the front desk because an attendant never came around to refill them… once we got more we finished… but all my kids were done eating by then… even with enough mix available they really should have two waffle irons to accommodate people… I know there was a gentleman there who ended up waiting close to 20 min because he was after me :( The 2nd problem and the really big one was that I left an item in my room when I checked out and it was«never found». This is rediculous! This is a hotel that specifically caters to traveling professionals, and when I left a 3 ring binder on the table with very expensive promotional material inside and irreplaceable notes, it was simply thrown away. Worse yet… I called with in hours of checking out. I was told that the room had not been cleaned yet and they would notify house cleaning. I gave a description of the item and exactly where it was left.(White 3 ring binder on the kitchen table standing up against the wall) I left my name and number for them to contact me once they had it so I could arrange to get it back. No one called me! Unfortunately I was traveling that day and couldn’t call back until the next morning. When I called back I was told nothing was turned in. When I argued with staff to please go check the room to see if it was missed I was was treated poorly. The once again took my number but never returned my call. After a third call I was curtly told nothing was found and it was possible it was thrown away. I am in shock that the house cleaning staff would throw something like that away, and I am in even more shock that the management didn’t even apologize or even seem to care about my future business with them. I of course will never use them again, and I encourage you to find another establishment if you plan on brining anything of value with you!

Very nice, everything is new but when i came in the dishes had stains on them because they weren’t washed properly and i found this weird looking feather inside my pillow i will attach the picture other than that everything is great rooms, staff, location. I m editing this review because it turns out those feathers are just from the pillow its a feathery pillow. But still when u sleep on these there end is so sharp it pokes and scratches u

From now on, I will always look for a residence inn for business and personal travel needs. I recently stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and I had every thing I needed. Like being at home. I love the studio style of the room, the satellite tv, the kitchen not kitchenette but a full functional kitchen. The shower was pimping pimping like one you’d see in a mansion. The bed was plush and oh so comfortable. Did I mention they feed you breakfast and dinner, too? My rate was only 109/night which is such a value compared to other hotels that charge more and give less. Staff was pleasant and knowledgeable but I wouldn’t have cared. The amenities are enough to write this review

Clean, new, quiet location — the best aspects to have in a hotel. I always enjoy Residence Inns and this was no exception. Service was great as always at Marriott properties. As mentioned by some others, the walls are quite thin. I was able to sleep fine but could hear a neighboring conversation(when the climate fan wasn’t on). I’d rather deal with a thin wall at this hotel then an overall bad experience at other hotels in the area. Turn your climate fan from auto to on and go to sleep!

Lovely hotel! But if sleep is what you’re looking for –you won’t get it here, especially on the weekends. The floors and walls are paper thin and you hear every footstep & every word of the people around you. Request a room on the top floor at the end of the hall for a wonderful stay and a great nights sleep. The rooms are spacious and the mattresses are absolutely wonderful. Due to the large number of kids and groups staying at this hotel on the weekends, the breakfast buffet gets depleted quickly – wake up early for the best selection.

Think twice. My husband was traveling through the area and due to great reviews decided to stay at this location. Due to his training schedule he has certain dietary needs and always chooses locations with kitchens so he can cook for himself. Things were going well until he opened the dishwasher and found a live cockroach. He notified staff and they said they could do nothing that management would contact him. We are now 2 weeks later and still no word from this facility.

Stellar… so much more awesome than Homewood Suites and any other extended stay we’ve frequented… possibly even the Element by Starwood! Love these for a home away from home.

This is a brand new hotel. Staff is friendly and rooms are nice. I stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. Kitchen is fully loaded, except food of course. Free breakfast and some appetizers during dinner hours.

Everything about it is great. Desk staff very professional but still personable. Rooms are excellent with plenty of space. Can’t wait ’til we have to go to Grand Rapids area again and will definitely stay here again!

Pretty much like most Residence Inn’s but has the added bonus of being brand new! The area is ok, a little hard to find as it sits way beyond the main street and the sign is tiny that tells you where it is. There are plenty of chain restaurants near by shopping and other stores. there is also a few really nice grocery stores nearby. There is plenty of parking front and back of the building. The inside has a nice lounge area, with happy hour free food nearly every evening during the week. They dont have their liquor license yet but have a bar in place for when they get it. The pool is nice, the gym has 3 treadmills 1 Elliptical 1 Bike and some free weights and a bench. They even have a basketball court. The staff can sometimes be limited at the front desk. What i mean is there may only be 1 person working the desk and they have to leave to help someone or do something and you have to wait possibly 5+ minutes for them to come back if your wanting to check in or buy something from the market. But they are all professional and courteous. The rooms are clean, spacious and new! thank goodness they are using cards with RFID tags instead of the magnetic strip that always finds its way to my phone to erase it! their is a master switch for the ceiling lights and hvac to turn off when you leave to save energy. The shower is large with good water pressure and heat. Overall this hotel is one i will definitely return to when working in the Grand Rapids airport area.
