Staybridge Suites Grand Rapids-Kentwood

I stayed here for two nights while visiting my brother who attends a local college. This was one of the best hotels for the price I’ve ever stayed in! Full size fridge, plates/​silverware/​kitchen sink in addition to a couch, THE MOST COMFORTABLE BED ON THE PLANET, and a very clean bathroom/​vanity.
Also, free breakfast. Real breakfast — not just cereal and orange juice like most hotels. Like, I woke up to the smell of bacon wafting into my room. It was delicious.

This is a fantastic place to stay, especially considering the price. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Close to shopping and restaurants. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in the GR area.

This is a quaint hotel. The rooms were large and well laid out. I felt as if it was pretty clean for a hotel.

We got a reservation at this hotel on a whim (when our 1^st hotel turned out being an absolute nightmare) and it was AMAZING. I was so thankful they were able to get us a room, and we found it to be very affordable! The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was fantastic. You are very close to tons of shopping and easily accessible to Grand Rapids. The continental breakfast was one of the best that I’ve ever had. I will be staying at a Staybridge Suites again! Thank you!

This is an easy five star review. I recently stayed here for one night while on a lone road trip — just me and my little chiweenie dog. My husband set us up here, as he frequents this location while conducting business in the area, and knew that it was nice.
This dog-​friendly place gets two thumbs, and four paws up from us. The staff was friendly and helpful. Check-​in and check-​out was a breeze. The king suite was perfect. It was like a studio apartment with a cute little kitchen, with all the basic necessities should you need them. The décor was fresh and updated, the room was quiet (even though we were next to the elevator), very clean, and comfortable. The bed was comfortable, with lots of soft pillows and a nice, fluffy comforter. The location was safe and pleasant, and conveniently close to stores. The grounds were really well kept. The only thing that I cannot comment on is the breakfast, because we left before it was available (breakfast starts at 7 am, and I wanted to be on the road at 6 am). All of this for $ 99 a night, plus $ 15 for my little copilot.
For the money, this place is an absolute bargain. I have stayed at much more expensive and supposedly higher end hotels, and not had such a nice experience. Kudos to the staff and management for a job very well done.

Wow, for the money? Great hotel. Clean, affordable, sharp, comfortable, safe, quiet. Great kitchen setup. Like an efficiency apartment. We had the corner unit second floor. I’m happy.

Had a wonderful 5 nite stay here. Rooms are set up like a one room apartment with living room area fully stocked kitchen with micro, 2 burners, full size refrigerator, and a door to the bedroom and bath. Full Breakfast is included and worth getting up for. Free laundry machines is another plus for the business traveler. The staff was gracious and hospitable — all due to the on-​site GM, Mitch Spence. Staying here was the next best thing to home.

Great clean hotel. New rooms. Great service! Easy parking, and great rates. Includes breakfast. Will definitely be coming back here and so should YOU!

I stayed here for 5 days for a conference in Grand Rapids. It was an awesome experience.
The price was very reasonable for a 2 bedroom/​bath suite that had a full kitchen and living room as well. The bed was the most comfortable than any 5star hotel I’ve ever stayed in.
Free buffet breakfast every morning that consisted of scramble eggs, bacon, on certain days and breakfast sausage and cheese omlets on the other, as well waffles, toast and fruit and Wolfgang Pucks Coffee and a juice and soda machine. Free wireless Internet and lots of free parking. Free use of the laundry room too and 24 hour fitness center too.

Spent the weekend with the family. Great value for the money. Staff did anything we asked, not the first Staybridge we’ve stayed in, everything was great. Outdoor pool was even warm enough for dad to get in. Thanks

I stayed at this hotel April 2009 while traveling to an event at the Patterson Ice Arena.
The hotel located in short distance from the airport and the ice arena.
We had an apartment like suite that had a small kitchenette with a stove top (no oven). The room was spacious and clean. Amenities I look for are free internet access and free parking, which were provided. There were no coffee filters in the room (there was a full sized coffee pot) but to be fair, I didn’t ask for any at the desk either.
There is a small, free breakfast bar where you can make your own waffle, or pick up eggs, bacon, cereal and other breakfast items. The food isn’t first rate but it is hot and free, and good enough I ate there every morning.
My roomies dealt with the staff more than I did so I don’t have much to say there, but what I heard second hand is the staff was pleasant.
The hotel was quiet and more than adequate for our needs. I would stay again given a choice. The rates are also very reasonable for what you get.
