Although I live on SE side of town, I visit Michoacan when I am in the area. I like going here when I have the opportunity mainly for the meat section. They are a fairly new Mexican grocery and they have kept the place up, The meat section has a variety of meat cuts tailored for Hispanic cooking. I like the fresh chorizo. But also, they have a very nice hot meat section where they offer carnitas, chicharon and barbacoa by weight. They also have a good produce section and a Panaderia. I was at Free Wheeler Bike Shop yesterday and so i stopped by Michoacan.

I like stopping by here for the freshly cooked carnitas, barbacoa and chicharon. Good meat section, too.
