Best place around for good brews and a great atmosphere. I love this place even more every time that I come here. :)

This place is so down to Earth. I walked in all by myself just wanting a good pint and wanting to see what they have here and immediately within 10 minutes I was in conversations with a couple random people. They make this place feel like you’re hanging out with your buds and their bar backs are super friendly.

I like the Thai PA quite a bit, and its a nice experience, different than a brew pub… definitely not a gastro pub either. The focus is on the beer and the people. If you haven’t tried Barehands and you like beer you’re missing out!

Please make more peanut butter beer it is so good! I was so disappointed when I got there last night and you guys had ran out! You guys really need to make big batches of that and bottle it!

Excellent beers, but be forewarned that This is 100% a beer place, not a brew PUB. The«menu» consists of only a few sandwiches(3 turkey, 1 Reuben, 1 cheese). I ordered the Reuben with extra dressing on the side — the dressing I got was definitely tartar sauce, not Thousand Island. Bartenders were cheerful but clearly focused on the group of regulars sitting at the bar, including a few offering a running commentary for the extremely stupid movie they were showing on all the TV screens. The TV experience dropped my rating from a 4 to a 3.

So I am in love with Ben at BHB. He gave us The Tour and was enthusiastic and funny. The beers are great. The pub is comfortable. I wish they were closer so I could spend more time with my New Love Ben and his Beer.

Place is small inside. Beers are decent. Customer service is great. Would definitely go back.

My initial experience with Bare Hands was less than stellar, I’ll admit. I’m prepared chalk it up to the crew having an off day. I’ve been back once and the place seemed to be operating much more smoothly. The biggest reason I’m updating and changing my rating is the beer, however. I was underwhelmed by the brews I tried on my first visit but have had some absolutely masterful beers since including Beehop and Walter White. I’m super glad I went a second time. Keep doing what you’re doing, fellas!

True artisans. Clean, flavorful, diverse and powerful ales coupled with being well respected in our craft beer community — Bare Hands Brewery is doing it right. They approach each beer style with a passion for doing it right. And that passion shows best through what flows from the wall of taps. Chris and John balance their creative whimsy with a stable of solid performers — from the Orange Blossom Chubble Double, to their Mail Order Bride Russian Imperial Stout and their signature Thai.p.a. the beers never fail to satisfy even the most discerning craft beer aficionado. If you’re in the Granger area for any reason, make sure to add Bare Hands to your«must visit» list.

I love Barehands! So many fun brews that never disappoint. The Thai IPA is one of my favorites… I also love Chubble Dubble and their 574 as well. The beers always taste right on point with the style and the fun twist of flavors they add always seem to pop through in just the right amount. I’m a big fan! Not to mention– they always have the best looking booth at all the local beer fests ;) I visited a couple days ago… and on top of all that excellent quality… I really noticed how the staff seemed to really care about the beer and brand. They also seemed to know many of their customers on a first name basis which was really cool. I love going to the tap room and will continue to speak highly of them whenever talking local craft breweries. Barehands is a must visit for craft brew lovers.

Interesting little brewery. 10 beers on tap, a few more available in cans and bombers. Beers were good, some — the Mail Order Bride and Porter — were terrific. Lots of hoppy IPA’s as well. A worthy stop for beer lovers.

I went here a few weeks ago because a bar I hit in Elkhart often carries their brews. I was there on a Thursday and it wasn’t very crowded. Hard to find but the Brews are very eclectic and very good. Would like to return and try some new flavors and see a bigger crowd. Try the Thai PA if they have it. Yummy.

Good beer. Chill atmosphere. Comfy couch. They even played a history of beer documentary while I was there.

I was very impressed with this brewery. The double thai pa was wonderful! In all honesty all of the beers were great! I liked the atmosphere and thought they did a great job making it about the beer instead of the bells and whistles. I really hope they start to bottle or can so I can bring some back!

I have been here twice and have one disappointment. I keep reading good things about Thai PA and other IPA’s. On both occasions they have had neither… With IPA being one of the most popular genres of craft beer, I would think, that with 8 taps, you could plan to have at least one at all times… I had a session pale ale, a stout, and a double IPA, and they were all quite good… I will no doubt return, I just hope they keep us hopheads a little more in mind :-)

This brewery produces some serious beer. The pales and IPAs are world class and on par with their neighbors to the west, 3 Floyd’s. The Thai.P.A is very well done with just a glimmer of lively Thai spices underneath a buoyant hoppy, tropical attack. The Galaxy single hop IIPA is out of this world. I really enjoy that most of their beers pack a nice ABV punch. I have never tasted anything overly boozy, just well-rounded and high on flavor. The growler prices, even for the lower ABV beers, are a bit high at $ 15. Colored stars denote the prices, from $ 15 to a $ 25. Well worth spending after the 3 hour drive from Indy but definitely a luxury. The fellow even wraps the caps in electrical tape, a useful but rare thing for growler-fillers to do! Though tucked far back in a boring industrial area, the inside of the tasting room is quite cozy and welcoming.

I adore Bare Hands. I first met Chris, the owner and brewmaster, at Brew at the Zoo in 2011. I loved his beer and what he was trying to do — bring a local beer scene to South Bend and Granger and create fun, innovative brews. Fast forward a few months and the pub opened off the beaten path in Granger. We walked in one weekend night and have never looked back. With some typical beers(cream ale) in the rotation and lots of things you’ve never heard of, you’re more likely to find a new favorite. The Thai PA is what has made this place legendary. The oatmeal stout is slightly sweet with some hints of coffee. You can buy a growler of your favorite to take home with you. Which we do. A lot. We’ve moved away from the area, but this is still a must-stop when we’re in town.

Bare Hands is tucked away off Princess Way in Granger, but worth a visit. Great variety of craft beers(love the Thai PA!). Tap selections are constantly changing. They have a very limited food menu(skip the snacks and stick with the beer). Cash only so be prepared.
