Dairy Queen

New Owners. Place freshly renovated. Food came out fast. Most DQ in Indiana are old and nasty. This one is one of the better ones.

This is absolutely the worst Dairy Queen I have been to. I have been here a total 4 times and each time I was served by an employee who seemed as though they we’re fairly new, like they didn’t want to be there and that I was a nusance for just being there. I recently had a order mistake and was supposed to get a free blizzard coupon. When I got home I saw that it was a coupon for a $ 1 blizzard. Later, when I went back to the store I told the owner about the situation and she insisted that I was in the wrong and made me feel stupid for mentioning the misunderstanding. The atmosphere, service, and employee attititude comes from the top down and I must say this Dairy Queen is definitely missmanaged. I will never go to this location again and I recommend that you don’t either unless bad service is your thing.

I’m sure the ice cream is fine, but I was never able to get any as I refuse to spend my money at a location where the employees are allowed to talk disrespectfully to the customers. The manager was just as rude. Someone should inform them that customers are why they have jobs.

Seriously… this is ice cream. How hard can it be? DQ has ads all over the TV, so people are going to be coming in. The service here STINKS! However, it starts with the bad attitude of the supervisors that work in that place. They have no interest in maintaining any sort of professional work environment or decorum among the staff. Imagine having a brat neighbor kid as the supervisor. Now, imagine that person being 40 some years old. That’s the leadership at this place. Sad. It’s ice cream. It’s supposed to be fun, and easy. Tonight, our turtle sundae was made with the dipping chocolate, not the sundae chocolate so the chocolate hardened on the sundae, and the Arctic Freeze had no ice cream in it (that’s an Arctic Rush, not Freeze). Simple order. Simply made wrong.
I’m only giving this place one star because I can’t give zero stars… and it has nothing to do with the ice cream… only the service.
