Wow! This place has an awesome happy hour. Tapas for $ 2, draft beers for $ 3 and sangrias for $ 3. Can’t beat the deal. Can’t beat the deal. Great view on the back patio and great service. I definitely recommend this place.

We continue to love this place. Great service and nice place to hang out. We went for lunch today. Crab cakes, oysters, some of that tasty acorn ham. Five stars for location. Best it gets up here

Been waiting to try out this place for a few years, came in for lunch with the wife. Delicious, fresh, and relatively larger portions for a Tapas restaurant. We’ll be back!

DUDE! The purple sweet potato purée was AMAZING. Baby approved. So ONE of the challenges of eating out with a new baby is always finding something that the baby will eat and doesn’t have too much salt/sugar. The purple sweet potato was so good I was trying not to devour it all so baby can have some! There were so many delicious things we enjoyed at SOURCE I am going to have a difficult time remembering them all. The service was outstanding and the lamb lollipops was very delicious. We came here with my sister in law and i thought everything we ordered was amazing. The only thing that was average was the arugula salad with beets. We were so full that we didn’t have room for dessert. I can’t wait to go back!

Great food. Friendly wait staff. Food came quickly. They surprised the table with ice cream and a candle for my friend’s birthday. A very nice evening.

I came in for happy hour with a friend. The server checked my ID, I am 24, and had to check with the owner to see if he could accept it because it is vertical. My ID is not expired, and I am over the legal age. The owner denied serving me alcohol because my ID was vertical. He didn’t even have the decency to come out and apologize or explain his reasoning(which makes no sense). We ended up going to Hawks next door instead and will not be returning to Source. Poor customer service to say the least.

Great atmosphere. Great food. Pricey… but worth it. Pretext: Going to a tapas place with eyes wide open is trick number one. Having been to numerous similar places in the past, my wife and I knew that it was going to be an expensive night. It’s just the nature of small-dish restaurants. Atmosphere: Unfortunately for us, the weather was bad, so we didn’t get to experience the great patio views, but it was OK. Instead, we positioned ourselves right outside the kitchen window so we could see all of the dishes as they came out. The overall atmosphere was great: bustling, but not noisy. Rustic, but not back-country. Service: Again, this is a tapas place; it will not be a fast dinner. So, with our eyes wide open, we were very pleased with our service. We did not feel rushed to open our table. The server took the time to provide detailed recommendations on wine and food. It was the service you expect: friendly, helpful, timely, but not memorable… which is the way service should be. If the server is the highlight of your night, the restaurant is doing something wrong. We gave a 40% tip. Food: We tried a little bit of everything. The charcuterie was fine, but I was more impressed by the tapas themselves. The Lamb Lollipops(lamp tenderloin with balsamic redux on on a skewer over sweet purple potato purée) were great and super tender. 5⁄5 stars The Shrimp Cazuela(shrimp in a spanish sauce with bread, served scampi-style) came recommended by the server and it was good, but was a little heavy on certain spices — I want to say cumin? Would have preferred more garlic. 3⁄5 stars The Dungeness Crab Tator Tots(think round crab cakes with potato) were great and also came recommended as their ‘most popular dish’. Worth a try. 5⁄5 stars The Bacon-wrapped Dates(stuffed with cream cheese & chorizo) were a fantastic starter. Perfect blend of salty and sweet with that little chorizo kick. 5⁄5 stars The Seasonal Veggies(roasted brussels sprouts and cauliflower with balsamic redux) were as expected. Nothing special, but still a good ‘side’. 3⁄5 stars Overall: As a whole, this was a great place and a fantastic dining experience. We had 3 glasses of wine apiece along with the above food for a total bill of around $ 190. Again, as I said, this is to be expected of a tapas place, so you’ve been warned. Tip #1: We entertained bringing our own bottle of wine, but left it on the kitchen counter. That was a mistake. Source’s corkage fee is virtually nothing($ 7.50 for the first bottle), so definitely take advantage. This will immediately knock a good portion off your bill(50% in our case). Oh, and they are located next door to a nice wine shop in case you forget like we did. Tip #2: Plan for a longer dining experience, but again, this is to be expected from a small-dish place that is as much about the experience as it is about the food. Our meal, from start to finish, was about 2.5 hours, granted, we were taking our time. Tip #3: Sit next to the kitchen if possible, so you can see the dishes as they come out. For first-timers, as we were, this provides a great way to choose from a long list of potential plates. Tip #4: Focus on the small plates. The charcuterie was good and if you really like it, this is as good as you will find, but it can get a bit pricey. For my money, I would rather go with 3 small plates at the same price.(Yes, I realize that I spent my entire post preaching not to worry about cost, but it’s still worth mentioning) So there you have it. Source is a great dining experience, but be prepared to take your time and open your wallets. Enjoy.

Visited for first time last week for my birthday celebration with my two girlfriends. We always pick new and interesting places to celebrate our birthdays and this is definitely one place we will come back too.

Wow! I’ve had Tapas before, in a few different locations, and this place blew them all out of the water! Every dish is so thoughtfully put together, the flavors don’t compete, they all blend seamlessly together to bring out the best in each other! We had four in our party and each tried two dishes. We were not disappointed in any of them. The lamb lollipops are absolutely amazing, and I’m not a lamb super fan. The crab tator tots are FANTASTIC, as well as the paella balls. From what we can tell, no matter what you order, you will NOT be disappointed! And when you’re done, try the Meyer Tawny Port with the chocolate toffee or the butter brickle ice cream. Simply decadent.

Good food but for some reason refuse to answer phone and when they do they don’t say anything almost like they don’t want to be bothered, like they are too good to answer their phone and funny thing is I was right outside and saw what they did and the place wasn’t busy at all I was just seeing if they did to go orders so I said oh well and went to their competitor in the same complex

This is not a cheap place, and there’s a reason for that. It’s an incredible Tapas restaurant in a great location overlooking a body of water. The atmosphere is very high end, and every dish is incredible. The happy hour doesn’t really save you much, although if you’re hungry, I hear they have an All You Can Eat Paella. I highly recommend the saffron aioli paella balls

Great food! Everything was fresh and of the highest quality. Portions were larger than we expected. Dessert was great.(An order of Toffee was enough to share for four people.) Great wines by the glass. Everything was reasonably priced. We left feeling that it was an excellent meal at an appropriate price. Source is my new favorite in Granite Bay!

Paella night Wednesdays AYCE for $ 19.99 but 1 plate is really enough. Great beer selection according to my beer loving pals. I had sangria which was bright and not too sweet. That’s usually my problem with mixed drinks. It was pretty light and refreshing. The Tapas are pretty small best to get them on happy hour. I actually thought I had reviewed this place awhile back after a lunch. The lunch service was soooo slow. But dinner service was prompt and attentive.

Great place to enjoy delicious tapas with friendly service and in great ambiance. Large variety of small plates on the menu so try several small plates, they are delicious and very fresh tasting and you can try several dishes and share with your group. Ahi poke and scallops dish were delicious !! I found paella balls were little bland at least for my taste. Other dishes I tried and liked were lamb lollipop and street tacos Great wine selections but do try Sangria; I had best tasting Sangria here and it goes well with Tapas isn’t it :)

the food was good and the ambiance was nice. There are different choices to be made here, but a good chance to try foods that are no «regular»

This is a good experience if you’re looking to try something new. There are some interesting menu options. The paella balls are super good! The prices are reasonable and the food comes out quick. It’s was fresh, quality food. The ambiance is nice and décor is done well. The only opportunity was the service. The server we had was strange, not friendly at all. He just came up to our table and stood there. We greeted him and gave him our drink order without him saying anything except ok. He did the same thing multiple times. He acted stuck up and seemed bothered. I’d go back to try other menu items.

I would give it 4.5 but I rounded up. Nice selection of small plates from around the globe. Wine selection is decent and location and atmosphere are lovely. I normally sit on the patio on the warm summer evenings. Service is always good and it’s never too crowded. We sometimes go for just dessert and wine.

When we walked in we were greeted with several friendly faces and were seated immediately. The food brought out was the prefect portion size, and tasted phenomenal. The wine was perfect as well. Service wise, our waitress and buss boy did amazing. We were constantlu checked on to make sure we were having a delicious meal. Thank you!

I get no more than a couple weeks notice when an old friend may be in town and only every few years. It’s always hush. Today, a while after a quick drink at a local dive, dinner at Source Global Tapas. Haven’t been here in a few years. Beautiful evening outside on the back patio overlooking the natural open space and pond. A glass of beer and a glass of wine. I opted for the Auburn Ale House on-tap ale. Because it’s tapas and in keeping with the theme, I recommended the Field Recordings Tempranillo( ) served with some candied smoked bacon — amazing. Our food choices all came from the tapas menu: ** Pomegranate Pecan Chevre & sliced baguette I’m not a fan of chevre(too earthy for me) but had no problem consuming this blend with very fresh chevre ** Paella Balls with Safron Aioli Paella will always have a place in my stomach. However, these deep fried balls of paella, while good, were missing the seafood element. ** 6 Hour Angry Pork Sliders with Sweet Potato strings These were pretty darn good. Sweet, but not. The sweet potato string fries were cooked just right. Only a hint of salt. ** Portobello Mushroom Sauté on Red Quinoa with Leak Sauce Hands down the best thing on the table this evening. Perfectly sauteed portobello laying on a bed of red quinoa and topped with a leak sauce(with real leak) and manchego cheese snow. Dessert was a house made toffee with chocolate(stupid me didn’t note the given name for this decadence). I’m not a dessert person but did have a bite from a corner and will report that it was divine. Wednesdays !! Apparently, according to their menu, Source offer AYCE Paella plus drink for $ 19.95. I had no idea. I am going to hit this AYCE Paella very soon and hoping it’s more ‘real’ than the deep fried paella balls.
