Tricks Gymnastics

I signed both of my girls up after their first trial class and they couldn’t wait to go back. Their teacher Miss Sarah is excellent with kids and I was so impressed with how much individual attention each child got. Highly recommend!

The staff was super friendly, helpful and engaged. We had a birthday party here and we pushed the limits of how many they would allow to the limit– they handled it in stride. Every kid went home with a smile on their face and not one tear was shed. A total win– if you need a fun idea for a youngsters bday tricks won’t let you down!!! Great job Tricks– thanks for making our little girls day extra special.

This is a great activity for kids. My son loves to explore and he’s only 10 months old. They have a big parachute that my son was thrilled to get underneath. There’s so many things to do and as the kids get older the classes advance with their capabilities. Parking can be a nightmare at times but well worth it. I do wish they would do a little more to prevent the spread of germs by sanitizing toys and objects that the little ones touch.

Best gymnastics in the Sacramento area!!! This was the first place my daughter took gymnastics and also where she fell in love with it. Teacher Lorna is still her favorite teacher ever and she still talked about her! She’s unforgettable and was makes the kids feel like they are so loved and special. The Taylor’s have created such a special family feeling here. No matter how new you are they make you feel like family. I will always recommend Tricks Gymnastics!

Rachel at the front made sign in and sign up a quick and painless procedure. She gave us the tour and got us all dialed in on the gym setup.
Next up it was our teacher Miss Stephanie. She was absolutely wonderful, I mean talk about a real legit saint –dealing with little squirming and squealing 3 year olds!
It’s an art (and not one I would prefer to dabble in myself).
It’s not dirt cheap but nothing involving instruction is, so I had to ask myself…
Do I want to give him that foundation to possibly turn him into the greatest breakdancer of all time? Well, of course! I was also certain however that I did want to break him out if his shell, have him learn a bit about coordination, see if he could be respectful and patient in a group environment and most importantly tucker him out! All is going well thus far, stay tuned for an update.

Tricks is a really cute little gym for building self-​confidence, learning to follow directions and for a good time. If you want to be a professional gymnast or dancer, I would definitely take your business elsewhere. My granddaughter had Mr. Andrew as a teacher and he was fun, sweet and good with the kids. We really haven’t seen a bad teacher there. For dance she had Miss Joanne. Both the spring and winter performances were cute It is definitely a confidence booster to perform and get the applause after working hard on the routine. She was all smiles afterwards. She wanted to be like Angelina ballerina.
That being said it’s great for preschool age and under. If you have an older kid who is serious about gymnastics or dance there are other places in the area that will serve you better.

My daughter has been taking classes at tricks for six months now and we couldn’t be happier. My daughter can be a little shy and hesitant in new settings (she recently turned 4) but the teachers at tricks made her feel welcome and comfortable in no time. We love the dance and gym program — all employees here are great!

My step daughter had been coming here for a few months and she really likes it! The classes are small enough that she gets individual attention from the instructor, which is a change from the last place that she did tumbling. The facility is spacious and appears clean and I have found the stash to be very friendly and helpful. I am def a fan and plan to stay a customer for some time.

My 2 year old loves coming to gymnastics and teacher Lorna is the best! Every week is a different theme and so far my daughter has not gotten bored. We have been going for 4 months.

Tricks is nice for young kids who aren’t into progressing their gymnastics. My daughter attended for a month and the teachers were not helpful at all if she needed help on certain skills. After a month we quit and the staff didn’t even care why we were leaving. She is much happier at her new gym and is progressing quickly.

Tricks gymnasitcs is a GREAT place for very young kids although I can tell from the other classes going on around us the older kids totally enjoy it as well. My daughter is one and we have been going since she was 9 months just before she could walk. There are structured suggested activities but the babies have the freedom to do what appeals to them. The instructors are very patient and sweet. My daughter doesn’t get as much interaction with other kids as I would wish, this is a great place for socializing. As you get to know the other kids and parents in the class it’s nice to get a little adult face time as well. The parents never mind if your baby uses them as a prop to stand up or need a bit of help on an activity when they are right there. it is pricey but you get a clean safe environment.

Kids have a great time. So far great instructors such as Miss Stephanie.

My kids love their gym classes. The trick is finding the right teacher. Some of the instructors are young and fun, but don’t really teach the kids much. This is a ‘fun’ gym. Their focus is on building confidence in kids, not training them for the olympics. Price is a bit high ($ 65-​$ 80/​month for a 1 hr/​week class w/​up to 8 other kids). However, they have a great ‘make-​up’ policy. If you miss a class, you can make it up. Can’t quite get over the musty ‘gym’ smell, but the kids don’t care.

We love Tricks Gymnastics! Both kids go here for gymnastics classes/​dance classes, but the reason i’m writing in is because we recently had a birthday party here for my 8 year old boy and he had the best time! We were very impressed with how organized they were and the activities they did to keep the kids having fun. The kids never got bored and there was so much going on for them including a bounce house that they bring in just for parties! Everything was great! I would definitely do a party here again. The only negative was that the party room didn’t have any seating for the adults so we all just stood around the table with the kids sitting down.

Just had to share how much I love Tricks! We’ve been going for 3 ½ months now to the toddler gymnastics class, and my daughter has learned SO much. We started attending at the end of May when she was 26 months old. Beyond the physical things she has learned (jumping, walking on the balance beam, somersaults, donkey kicks, handstands, pencil rolls, etc.), I’m amazed at how well she listens to her teacher, waits patiently for her turn, and pays attention to the demonstration & then tries to do what her teacher showed the class, without me having to help remind her of what «trick» we are supposed to do next.
In the beginning it was such a struggle and fight (she did NOT understand waiting hr turn or listening/​paying attention to the teacher) but she has matured so much it amazes me! I am SO glad we are doing this activity, it is money really well spent. Our teacher is Lorna and we ADORE her!
We don’t have her in a lot of activities and she is watched by family, not in day care, so Tricks has really helped her grow and learn.

A fun, interactive, energetic place for kids! The classes offer some structure to teach kids how to listen, and follow directions but also provides free time for kids to explore and exert as much energy as they like.

My girls have been taking dance and gymnastic classes for years. There are some fantastic teachers there for the smaller kids. Ms. Joanne is by far the best dance teacher and primarily the only reason why we have stayed there so long. She is very encouraging to the young dancers and boosts their self confidence.

Lots of classes and camps. They really work with a busy schedule.
Both of my girls have been going for more than a year and really love it. Instructors are great and I’m just wondering how we’ll ever manage to schedule all the classes the girls want to take.
Dance, Jazz, Hip Hop, gymnsatics… and now Tap Shoes clicking around at home, uh.
Oh well, the girls are happy and exhausted at the end of the day.
