My family and I stayed in a rental for the weekend in Kingsland, TX and the lake was beautiful. It was definitely a more residential feel to the area and lots of homes were not vacation or rentals. Thus, making the area feel family oriented and safe. Water level was prefect and calm.

LOVE this Lake! Constant level lake… never low, never high! Low boat traffic, more than a handful of marinas with gas pumps. Shallow points are clearly marked and a couple Known sand bars to stop & hang out on while boating on the lake. Great fishing. Lots of catfish, stripers, and freshwater sheephead aka Mister GasperGoo(btw great for eating & put up a hell of a Fight!). Locals are real friendly and helpful if you’re ever lost on the lake or need a quick tow. Also there are more than a couple boat towing services that are just a phone call away in case no one sees you stranded.
