I don’t come here very often now, and it’s because the prices get higher and higher each time. The layout of your meal used to be half rice/salad and half meat(which was awesome), but the meat content has gone down to be replaced with mostly rice and salad with only a couple tbsp of meat. Also, you guys need to work on remembering extra sauces, since when I get home now I am usually without the peanut sauce that you also raised the price on. :( I feel so awkward coming in and explaining this so I can get my peanut sauce.

Awesomely awesome food at an awesome price. Did I mention that our visits have always been awesome? I always get a #8 with grilled pork and no peanuts. On our second trip there, the counter guy looked up and said«#8 pork, hold the peanuts?» It had been a couple weeks since we went back and he remembered my order. Are you kidding me? This is the kind of service that makes people wanna come back again and again. Food is very good. Prices are very good. Service, as I said, is the best in town. I don’t know if the food is «Authentic Vietnamese» or not, nor do I care. I do care about it tasting good and having a good experience. We will be back again and again.

I came from San Jose, CA where there’s tons of Vietnamese restaurants serving rice plates and phở. Saigon Xich Lo’s beef rice plate(and their pork and chicken) and the veggies on it are the best I’ve ever tasted. If you want some Vietnamese food, try this place out!

So I went in and tried their Phở for lunch… I was pleased. Great flavor. Had all the yummy stuff to put in like Basil, sprouts etc… also had a nice amount of beef which surprised me. HOWEVER(you knew that was coming, right?)… the beef is poor quality and dried out like it’s been around awhile. That said… I am increasing by a star because they seem to be trying. Come on Saigon Xich Lo… you can do it!

Everything on the menu is fantastic! Used to follow them around when they had only a food truck. The Bahn Mi is my personal favorite!

Started out as a tasty place to eat, but they raised their prices and did not increase their portions. The amount of meat you get is not equal to 11 dollars. Good food, but 11.50 $ is kind of ridiculous. Bummed to say I’m not going back.

Great Phở. I usually get the veggie phở. I’m not a vegetarian but the veg phở is super good. Service is great and the place is always clean.

They started out as a food cart and through popular request finally opened a restaurant. I’ve had most items on their menu and have never been disappointed. Several reviews suggest this is not«true Vietnamese» cuisine and I can’t say if that’s correct. What I do know is they have tasty food and a very pleasant staff. Strongly recommended.

Cooking/prepareing Phở is deceptively simple. This place just doesn’t get it. The broth was tasteless, the meats, beef and chicken, not sliced but chunked and the veg(basil and sprouts) were already in the dish. No Jalapeño available, no plate of fresh basil. I had to ask for lime, soy sauce and chopsticks. I ate three bites and left. And they only had metal spoons. Did I get a refund? No. After the server brought my dish and the items I requested, I never saw her again. Cost: $ 11. So disappointing. No wonder the place was empty. Locals must have figured it out.

Not good if your looking for Vietnamese food. Maybe if you wanted to eat something that used similar ingredients, but not authentic Vietnamese food. I order this dish at every Vietnamese restraint I go to, and this is the worst I’ve ever had. The noodle bowl was over cooked, soggy noodles covered in a generic peanut sauce. The whole dish could be summed up as «Gooey», and gross! Very few vegetables, nothing about this dish was fresh feeling. The spring rolls were disgusting, there was an 1/8in thick piece of what seemed like dry turkey in the roll along with very un taste vegetables.

The owner is about as happy and friendly as they come. Saigon Xich Lo is authentic Vietnamese, so you love the marinated meats, fresh vegetables, tasty noodles, unique spice and all the luscious flavors. Try the Ga Nuong or the Heo Nuong, the add a Salad Roll(Gui Cuon) to your meal.

Coming from San Diego and having dome of the best phở, this restaurant absolutely held up to the expectation. As a local restaurant manager I’m pretty picky about food and service. They had great service. My food was just as I ordered it. The phở was pretty close to what I used to get weekly in San Diego. Will definitely be back. Thanks for the phở, smiles and overall great experience.

The food is always good, and order the number one chicken in regular or large. also their curry is excellent. And if they do that crispy rice thing definitely get it. Brandy rocks. They’re trying to fix the place up so be patient with the décor. I think they need to stay open later.

Great food. Great flavor. Reasonably priced. Would be five stars but the meat portions of the meals is very small.

Found this while on a road trip through the Redwoods. Food was delicious with good portions. Would heartily reccomend. Even while busy, service was friendly and fast.

Hands down, the best banh mi around. It doesn’t get any better than this! Truly better then any other sandwich in town. The rest of the menu is great too but there is something truly addictive about the banh mi.

We love this place and go there often. One of the better places to eat in this town. Very friendly owners and specially delicious food!

Very mediocre. I had high hopes after reading the reviews but both the banh mi and rice dishes were mayonnaisey and inauthentic. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone seeking true Vietnamese food.

Second visit was even less exciting than the first. Everything tastes the same. And the soup they call Phở is phoo. Was hopeful that this would be a new spot to land after work but will pass. On the plus side, the staff were kind and the the joint was clean as a whistle.

I have never in my life had Vietnamese food. I don’t know if it was just this restaurant, or if I’m just not into the food? My two stars are for the staff that assisted us. They were incredible. ~I’m a fatty and I like my spring rolls fried, I had a clear healthy one. It was-clear and healthy! ~my brother loved his pork ball things. He loves balls. It was worth a try. As my «getting healthier» lifestyle evolves, I may try clear healthy spring rolls once again. Thanks guys!
