If you’re looking for a nice place to enjoy the Rogue River I think this park is great. What I like about it is the almost hidden location. Because of this it’s a nice place to go to escape the summer tourists. They have many picnic areas with bathrooms and lots of grass. There’s also a challenging frisbee golf set up complete with baskets installed throughout the tree-studded course. Bring your own gear as there wasn’t any rentals or club house when I was there. If that’s not your thing, take a hike on the many trails that run out in all directions. Some paved, some dirt. My preference is just to make your way down to the river’s edge and chill along its banks. On your way in you’ll have to check in with the host and pay a nominal fee. There are also larger areas to play softball or volleyball too. But again, bring your own gear. There is no store here so you’ll also want to pack your cooler for the day with food and drinks.
