Tommi’s Ice Cream

I will never eat ice cream again! Custard is the way to go. It’s the silkiest and smoothest consistency I have ever eaten! Truly a wonderful thing. I had a half scoop of pistachio and a half scoop of another one which I can’t remember the name but it was perfect and beautiful all by itself. My husband got the cookie dough concoction and it was out this world but I felt the custard was way better by itself. Simple and beautiful! Highly recommend!

This guy is a sweetheart. Try the frozen custard. It will change your life. He will tell you how he makes it, why he only makes a few flavor a a day. worth a stop in if you’re in town.

Such a cool and quirky place with so many options. The menu of shakes and sundaes is superb! We got a green grasshopper quake and a just jiffy sundae. Both were excellent

5 stars for this place and everyone is deserved. It was awesome. There’s 6 flavors of custard that they make in house. Vanilla and chocolate are always stocked. The other four flavors are constantly changing. Tonight there was lemon, vanilla butterfinger, mint oreo, and rogue roasters coffee ice cream. We tried all, but the rogue coffee won out. They have lots of add ons to choose from, so we added oreo and peanut butter. If you don’t try this before you die you are not a true American. It was crazy good. We got a double scoop and I reeeeeaallly wanted to go order another of the same thing after I ran out. My kiddos had lemon. It was rich and refreshing. We tried the mint oreo and it was also very good and a close second. But that coffee custard was off the hook. We’ll definitely go back. For the not so adventurous, they have regular run of the mill ice cream as well. Don’t get that. Be awesome and get the good stuff. Clearly they put alot of time and heart into making their homemade custard. The only sad drawback to this place is the location. They’re kind of hidden in the back of a little shopping center. Hopefully they can get into a better spot at some point. But for now I’m sure they’ll be very busy just by word of mouth. All their 5 star reviews are well deserved. Good job guys.

Stopped in after dinner for a scoop of dessert. Friendly staff offered tastes of anything we wanted to try. We ordered the chocolate frozen custard and the low cal burgundy cherry. Both were rich and tasty. A little on the spendy side at just under $ 8. for the two scoops and with a buck tip just under $ 9. Worth an occasional visit, but its awful tempting to just get a carton at the store for about half that and take it home.

For Grants Pass it is always exciting to have unique & original ice cream places instead of the typical chains i.e. DQ, 31 flavors. This place is pretty unpresumptious on the back side of a shopping mall/​complex near downtown GP. It is back tucked away on the west side, down by the tracks, of the main-​street path a bit. A lot of the locals I have spoken to wasn’t even aware this place even existed, even though it has almost been open for a year! Regardless, of word-​of-​mouth not being completely successful with this place, it still had plenty of busy! The line was competitive and people were a little bit snarky about waiting in line (when we were there). But besides that, there were a lot of fun flavors & selections to choose from. It was overwhelming! But, from what I deduced Tommi’s not only has homemade ice creams, but they also have frozen custards and different flavors to choose from. In addition, you can pick a pre-​designed Sunday or a thing they call a «Quake». Or you can pick your own flavors, toppings, etc and design your own quake. I was feeling overwhelmed with selections at the time so I chose the pre-​designed «Green Grasshopper» Quake and it was constituted of mint frozen custard, Andes Mints, thin mint cookies, hot chocolate syrup and whip cream! It was delicious, and very refreshing, I highly recommend it.

They have a friendly staff with a family feel. They have mouth watering custard that is to die for. Salty dog is my personal favorite. The smell of fresh made waffle cones fills the air as soon as you walk in. This place is a must try. Yummmmmmmm

My girlfriend and I have been into Tommie’s
3 times and it truly is a Great product he has on offer. The frozen custard is unlike anything I have ever had. It’s texture is amazingly smooth and creamy. We try and try new flavors, one was a banana and peanut butter, I would order it again enough said. He also stays open until 10pm, anyone living around here who’s not into the bar scene can appreciate that.

The chocolate cheesecake custard was definitely my favorite! Plus it has less fat than ice cream!

It’s been a while since I could enjoy some good ol’ frozen custard… which is readily available in the mid-​parts of the country, but rarely seen in these parts.
Tommi’s is delicious! I’m embarrassed to tell you the decadence I partook in on this past Saturday… it was an over-​the-​top sunday that was absolute creamy yumminess.
Imagine what happens when you take soft serve ice cream’s best qualities, and you combine it with regular hard-​pack ice cream… the result is creamy deliciousness called frozen custard!
A welcome addition to the area and well worth trying this place.

I’ve had frozen custard before. My mom is from Ohio, we’d have to visit Sticklands every time we visited family, back east you can find frozen custard much more readily, but in the west coast forget it, you get mostly frozen yogurt or chain ice cream places. I think it’s due to the recipe it’s made with eggs, where ice cream is a lot of air. I love this place and will be back, I’m really happy to have them in GP.

If you have never tried frozen custard you have no idea what you are missing. Tommie s has fresh tasty flavors, he is knowledgeable, friendly and has an amazing product. Give Tommies a try… it is way way way better than Gelato.

Ive been to tommi’s about 5 times now and have had a great experience everytime. I like the flavors of custard and how they rotate quickly. The late hours are great during the hot summer nights also! Keep up the good work!

Tommi’s is delicious! He makes his own amazing frozen custard, and is happy to tell you how it’s different from ice cream. The German Chocolate Cake custard was amazing, and my wife loved the regular chocolate custard. You can get all manner of toppings as well.
They’ve only been open a few weeks, so you should go support the shop and tell your friends. Grant’s Pass needed great ice cream, and now it has it. Best ice cream in town!

We stopped through on our drive up the coast because my husband and I were craving real homemade ice cream/​frozen custard. We had encountered many chain restaurants that served ice cream/​frozen yogurt but passed them up because we wanted the real deal; Tommi’s hit the spot! Homemade fresh flavors made daily and also fresh fruit and toppings to make your cold treat just the way you like it! Also the owner was very friendly and gave us tips on places to stop along our pacific coast drive! Highly recommended!

The frozen custard is amazing. I have never tried any ice cream as good! He makes lots of amazing flavors fresh everyday.
