Excellent! I have to admit I was skeptical of the concept but I love curry and I love burro’s. I was very happy I stopped by. Restaurant was very clean and friendly.

I went to Currytos for lunch today. It was very good. Since I have Celiacs Disease, I skipped the tortilla and went with the bowl. I had the chicken with vindaloo sauce. Just the right amount of heat. Added a bunch of toppings, corn, sour cream, cheese, etc. The guys I went with liked theirs too. It’s a small place. The service was excellent. I would definitely try it again. Give it a try.

We were traveling and in the mood for something a little different, and Currytos did not disappoint! I love the concept of a build your own Indian dish restaurant, and let’s face it everything tastes better in a burrito. The menu was very descriptive and made it a lot easier to decide what you want if you weren’t that familiar with Indian food(like me). Indian-Mexican fusion totally works; give it a try!

Simple, Chipotle-style menu. The sauces give the Indian flate to an otherwise Mexican meal. I never would have imagined the two together and its a surprisingly delicious combo! I recommend the chicken Tika Masala curryto and a bottle of mango lassi to drink. The place does lack any kind of ambiance or unique personality of its own. However, the food absolutely makes up for any shortcomings.

It’s like a Chipotle for Indian food. Choose a wrap, rice or salad bowl and then choose your toppings. I really enjoy tikka masala dishes in Indian restaurants and Currytos’ version is on point. I had mine in a rice bowl. It was not too spicy, which was good. They do have other sauces like vindaloo and biryani(I don’t know how that is a sauce, but I would be interested in trying it). For their salads they only had romaine lettuce, and I would have liked to see other mixed greens as an option. Overall if I am in the area for lunch I would return.

I like this place but I agree with the other reviews. It is missing something. This is what I would suggest… a slightly bigger serving. A TV. This is Texas and its football season. There should be sauces out on the table to put on top of your food. I think thats the blandness everyone is talking about. After you put toppings on your food its a little dry. I also suggests having tea this is Texas and people love there sweet tea.

Well, it sounded good on paper. I like the idea of a Chipotle concept for Indian, though actually keeping totally with Indian rather than a Mexican-ish fusion would’ve been much better to me. I ordered a bowl with chicken and vindaloo sauce. I wanted the red curry, but keeping with the theme of some other reviewers’ experiences, they didn’t have what I wanted. Right off the bat I was disappointed because although the pricing is fairly equivalent to Chipotle(which is overpriced to begin with), the serving is HALF that of what you get there. My coworker ordered the burrito and though the tortilla was big, like Chipotle, the insides were as paltry as my bowl. I couldn’t really stomach the thought of black beans and salsa on what I already had so I stuck with just the rice, chicken, sauce, lettuce, and some corn. The sauce was ok and definitely spicy, but overall it was a poor meal. The chicken was rather gristly, the corn tasted like it was out of a can, and the lettuce was mostly the thick white parts of the iceberg. And like others have said, the place was empty at lunch. I don’t see myself ever going back here, but I also don’t see them staying in business for long either.

Ohhhh Currytos. I really wanted to love you. As a Texas-transplant, I was desperate for a change from the plethora of steakhouses and Tex-Mex… And Indian«fast food» sounded wonderful. Maybe my hopes were too high, but I was disappointed. The place was empty during lunch hour. No big deal — they’re new. The interior is clean and simple. They didn’t have the paneer prepared, and I was encouraged to order the chicken… So I did. I was also encouraged to try the tikka masala sauce… So I did. Apparently, I was in an agreeable mood. It’s the toppings that just lost me. Pico, black beans, corn, iceberg lettuce, and a mix of shredded jack/cheddar cheese. Why not offer more Indian-inspired toppings? I, again, followed the suggestions from the guy-behind-the-counter and got cheese, corn, beans, lettuce. In the end, my meal tasted as confused as I felt. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good. There is a lot of potential but Currytos falls short.

I could have sworn I wrote a review of this place already, because I stalked the opening of this restaurant like a crazy person. There’s no Indian food in Grapevine, so I was sooooo so so so excited about Currytos. Unfortunately, my massive amount of excitement turned into a huge let down when I finally got to go. Granted, they had just opened — in fact, I was going to give them two stars but am cutting them a break since they are new — but it was such a lackluster experience. I walked in to an empty restaurant with the exception of one man sitting at a table, who then got up and turned out to work there. It was totally silent — no music, nothing to help the awkwardness of being the only customer. I ordered a paneer tikka masala burrito, which wasn’t something they had ready to go. He even asked if I was sure that’s what I wanted because they had cooked meat all ready to go. Being a vegetarian meant I couldn’t make life easier, and besides my dream has been to have access to paneer tikka masala in Grapevine! Rather than use the time it took to cook the paneer to build my burrito, charge me, or do anything useful, we just got the opportunity to stare at each other awkwardly for a couple of very long minutes. The paneer finally finished cooking and the burrito building commenced. I asked what might be a good compliment, never having mixed Mexican and Indian food. I got an unhelpful«everything» so I just put some stuff that seemed right to me. Unfortunately, the Mexican ingredients either way overpowered the Indian ingredients, or the Indian ingredients just weren’t flavorful enough. I got next to no masala flavor, so I might as well have ordered a burrito from anywhere else. Whomp wah :( My desperation for Indian food may bring me back to give it another shot, along with the possibility that they were still working out new restaurant kinks. But overall, I highly recommend you avoid getting your hopes up crazy high like I made the mistake of doing.

Indian and Mexican combined! You choose your protein, then choose if you want it in a burrito, naked, a salad or a fried bowl, then you add your curry. Then the condiments, pay and take a seat to enjoy. We both ordered ours naked, I ordered the red curry and my husband ordered the sweet and spicy, both had awesome flavor! The place was clean and the service friendly. We will definitely be back.

Stopped by for lunch this week. Unfortunately there was no one else dining in, so it was a little awkward. I had the Chicken Tikki Masala Curryto. The sauce was nicely spiced and went surprisingly well with the Mexican — Indian burrito concept. You can tell Currytos is after the Chipotle crowd but the menu doesn’t really have much beside the burrito, salad or bowl options. I would like to see their take on the chips and guac or a Mexican-Indian inspired tacos. I think this place would do better as a food truck, because as it stands, the concept seems a little too unusual for Grapevine regulars. Hopefully they will get more business soon.

Indian food inside of a burrito? How can you go wrong? It’s pretty much like Freebirds, Chipolte, and Qudoba. You pick a meat, get basamsti rice, a sauce, like vindaloo or tikka masala, and then toppings. Same traditional toppings you get everywhere. It’s delicious and a fusion you wouldn’t expect. They also have lassi’s and Mexican coke. The place was clean and minimalist in style. I will definitely come back.

Indian Mexican fusion? Two of my favorites choices! The concept of this location is similar to Chipotle. You pick your choice of Curryto(burrito), Naked Curryto(bowl), or a salad. I opted for the Curryto Bowl. I selected chicken as my protein with the tikka masala curry. They layer your bowl with rice, chicken, and curry. You also get to pick your toppings. My meal was decent. Wish the tikka masala had a bit more spice or little more season to it. I would loved more indian toppings to add to my bowl to spice it up. This location has a few kinks to work out like have change/coins for those customers paying with cash. I will have to try the vindaloo sauce next time to see if it’s spicer! Also, prior to my visit here, we’ve tried to come a little after 7:30 and they were closed??? The hours should be corrected here if they are going to close earlier than 8!

I love the concept of combining two of my favorite kinds of food(Indian and Mexican), but this place is new and has a few kinks to work out. This place reminds me of a chipotle. You pick either a curryto(burrito), naked curryto or a salad. I decided to go with the naked Curryto which is a bowl. They layer it with rice, you pick your meat, and then you pick your Indian sauce. I went with chicken and tikka masala. The masala was good, but it could have used more spice and flavor. You then pick your Mexican topping, so I picked cheese, sour cream, jalapenos and lettuce. Here is where I start to deduct stars. I paid cash, they didn’t have coins to give back. She explains, it’s just 67 cents, and I mentioned she should probably get some coins for future customers. The food was pretty good and had flavor. I need it spicier! The overall ambiance of the restaurant is very fast food like. I’ll have to come back and try the other sauces.

This was my first visit to Currytos and I was intrigued by the concept of Indian-Mexican fusion done Chipotle style. I had a chicken Curryto with the Biryani sauce, some sour cream, lettuce and cheese. The sauce was very tasty and a great complement to the flavorful chicken. The food at Currytos is good. Really good. The atmosphere is not so good. Every seat has a view of the foodline and into the kitchen behind. The music playing loudly over the speakers was neither Indian nor Mexican. More of something for the K104 crowd than for a weekday casual lunchtime crowd. The bare concrete floors contrast poorly with the burgandy faux finish by the line and the corrugated iron motif.

Currytos is Indian-Mexican fusion. The idea behind this place is intriguing right off the bat. Two wildly popular styles of cuisine that only pure culinary genius could bring together. Yes, that’s right. The man who brought you the deliciousness of Samosa Hut & Grill has done it again. With a Chipotle inspired setup, the simplicity of the menu makes it nearly impossible to go wrong. Here’s how it works: Step 1: Decide if you want a Curryto(a burrito wrap), Naked Curryto(burrito bowl), Curryto Ensalada(no rice, just lettuce). Step 2: Pick your protein: chicken, paneer, beef or veggie. Step 3: Add your curry: tikka masala, red curry, vindaloo, korma, biryani, sweet & spicy(hint: tikka masala is the best). Step 4: Add your toppings: shredded cheese, corn, lettuce, pico, beans, sour cream. Refresh with an Indian-style lassi or fountain drink and you’re set. They even have a kids’ quesadilla option, so you can bring everyone. Easy peasy. Cheap. Damn good. So good in fact, I went twice in the same week of trying them out. Currytos is an adventurous, fun choice for lunch/dinner and there really isn’t anything else like it out there. Great concept done brilliantly!

Had the ‘Curryto’ with Tikka Marsala, it was pretty amazing. The atmosphere is a little sparse, but my burrito was really really good.

Ate here the second day they were open. The place needs a little more«atmosphere». As for the food, I really like Indian food and I really like Mexican food so this was a great mix of the two. The Tiki Masala is my test for any Indian food restaurant.(Chicken enchilada and the salsa at Mexican restaurants are my testers at Mexican restaurants). If you can’t get that right, most likely the more authentic curries will be bad. It was very good! Excited to go back and try the other sauces now.

This is an interesting concept. It’s basically a Chipotle meets Indian thing, where you can get a burrito, bowl or salad with your choice of protein(or just veggies), add an Indian sauce and add-ons like at Chipotle. They’re working on adding shop fried tostadas, but they’re not available yet. Occupying a former Quiznos location, the décor is minimal but modern. Chairs are comfy and the tables are fairly substantial. A Coke fountain and plasticware/napkin area fill out the customer accessible area; again, minimal is definitely the word here. The ordering process is simple: Choose whether you want a burrito(«Curryto»), bowl(«Naked Curryto») or salad(«Curryto Ensalada»), choose your protein from beef, chicken, paneer or veggie, and choose your sauce from vindaloo, red curry, biryani, tikka masala and korma. Finally, choose from the Chipotle-esque black beans, sour cream, grated cheese, salsa, pico de gallo etc. In addition to the fountain drinks, they have some bottled drinks(I saw some Jarritos flavors and Mexican Coke) and a couple of lassi varieties including sweet and salty. About the only thing missing is galub jamun, they really need to come up with a Tex-Mex fusion version of that, perhaps galub jamun flan or something :) So, how was it? Pretty good! I selected the Currytos Ensalada with beef vindaloo, and I added those time honored Indian favorites: black beans, pico, grated cheese and sour cream. The vindaloo did have some bite to it, but was far from the hottest I’ve ever had. The beef was in small fajita-style strips but was tender and tasty. The lettuce was crisp and the other add-ons were fresh as well. I can’t speak to any of the beverages as I only had water. All in all, this place has a simple menu that they seem to do quite well, and that’s more than a lot of places can say about themselves. Give it a try if you’re in the area!
