I was disappointed with this farmers market. The cheese and meat vendors were great, but the produce was the big let down. I especially did not care for the produce they bring in from California and I assume other states since a few, but not all were labeled«Texas.» If I wanted California produce I’d go to the grocery store. Most of their produce is not organic. I wish the farmers would be there so we could ask about how it’s grown. Will not be returning until they get better produce since that’s the majority of what we buy.

I love this market! They have very fresh fruits and vegetables! Bright vivid colors and healthy tasty produce! Unlike the review I read, the purchases I’ve made have lasted days and days! I’ve never had an issue and I’ve been buying produce from these folks for years! The owner’s are awesome and very helpful!

I love the support of the local farmers, and offering these at the market. I do NOT, however, like that the out of state produce they bring in, is the same from the super market. They peel off the produce code labels, put the bad fruit at the bottom of containers, and when I get home the fruit I purchased are very mushy under the firm ones on top. Support local, and if you don’t have it, nor quality products, do not sell them.

A few things turned fast, had to throw them away. It’s basically throwing away money on what i thought was fresh produce.

The Grapevine Farmers market is a great option if you like buying your food at farmer markets. You will find a variety of vendors, with very little overlap. I think they must manage the types of vendors to reduce the competition between sellers. The anchor for the market is the produce vendor and a local shop that sells all kinds of jarred and specialty items. They have been here all three years that we have been coming to the market. The produce is great, and they will always let you taste the product before you buy it. It is obviously not all grown by the vendor, but it is fresh. The Texas products are labeled as such, and the organic and non-organic products are always marked as well. The great thing is that the selection is always great, and because they hand pack each basket, any product with blemishes goes to a special spot and you are guarantied a better product than you will find in the local grocery store. The vendors that I shop with all take cards, although there may be some that do not. There is lots of parking, just one block east of the market so you can get in and out pretty quickly. If I am in a clutch and still want to get by a farmers market, I will go here. April 11, 2015 was opening weekend, and they will be open at this location to mid or late October.
