Ferris John S, MD, PA

I have been a patient of Dr. John Ferris for many years. He has always been able to diagnose any problems in my health, including heart issues. My Father, brother, sister, & many friends also use Dr. Ferris for years. We all go to him and recommend him because of his excellent attention to our health and his ability to diagnose major health issues that are usually hard to detect. His staff is always friendly, thorough, and professional.
I have lived in Grapevine for 35 years. This is a small town community and Dr. Ferris has always been a well respected Physician in our growing community.

The office staff is extremely unprofessional and unhelpful, wait times are ridiculous, doctor is blunt, forthcoming, and you can’t ever get a hold of anyone. Only option is to leave messages for the nurse who doesn’t respond in a timely manner. I had to call several times to get lab results where I needed to take action. I would have never known I had several deficiencies and cause for concern because the staff and doctor don’t care enough to call. The mailed results, which I never received, were the only form of correspondence I would have received. Thank God I care enough about my health to follow up. I guess once the claim was filed, I was just another number checked off their «to do» list.
Others who attend this facility claim the doctor is «thorough». That may be the case but the staff is so horrendous that none of that really matters.
A good doctor’s office would follow up and explain the lab results, make sure you were aware of the proper next steps and schedule a follow up… you know, to monitor progress and make sure you got better. A terrible one would take your money, mail you test results that a normal person cannot interpret, and call the job done. You get the picture.
