Hall’s Pumpkin Farm

Pumpkins, Alpacas, Goats, and BBQ– what more could you ask for? There were pumpkins of every shape and size and some adorable photo ops. There’s also a child appropriate corn maze and hay rides. I doubt it would be entertaining for older kids or teens, but it’s a fun outing for a family with young children or adults looking for the most carve-​worthy giant pumpkin.

We packed our family up in the van and drove 40 minutes just to find out they were «closed due to weather» It wasn’t even raining! I posted a complaint on their facebook page and they immediately deleted my comment and blocked me from posting. The lack of customer service is astounding. One would think the business would reach out and apologize for the inconveniece, rather they obviously do not care about potential customers.

A lovely little pumpkin farm to bring your little ones during the fall! Very kid friendly and speaking as a mom, the numerous photo ops set up throughout the farm were just adorable! If you are looking for a a FREE location for your fall impromptu photoshoot for the kiddos this is your place! As for the pumpkins, they are decently priced and a large array was available for purchase.

This is my third year in a row visiting Hall’s Pumpkin Farm, so I think it’s safe to say it has become a Fall tradition for us. Just a 30 minute drive from downtown Dallas, this place is great for families, and lots of wholesome harvest fun. They have a hay ride, a corn maze, and fresh made kettle corn and apple cider for sale – and, of course, they have pumpkins!
It’s always incredibly crowded, probably because it doesn’t cost anything to get in and parking is free, too. The corn maze will cost you $ 5, and is actually pretty darn impressive. Took us a long time to find our way out. The hay ride will cost you $ 3, and it’s worth it if you like farm animals. It’s basically a tractor trailer filled with hay bales that takes you in a circle around the property and stops to let you feed and pet the donkeys and the cows. Definitely get there at 4pm to buy tickets for the hay ride – any later and you’ll end up waiting several hours for your time slot, and it’s a cute attraction but it’s not worth that.
The pumpkins themselves are a little overpriced in my opinion. Cheaper at most grocery stores. But you’re there paying for the experience of being at the pumpkin patch, and it’s such a festive ambiance that we never feel dissatisfied, and we keep coming back every year.

My family visited Hall’s Family Farm on a sunny weekend in October with the sole purpose in mind of bringing home a few pumpkins to carve. Oh, and maybe have a little fun along the way. We were not disappointed. The farm was easy to find, even easier to park (free parking) and the property was wide open for lots of fun for smaller kids. There was a corn maze (fee), which was pretty fun. There was a playground area, hayrides (fee and on a schedule), plus you could walk up to visit their small animal area (pot bellied pigs, sheep, rabbits, a llama, and few others).
The staff was very friendly and always smiling. As you can imagine, there are pumpkins situate everywhere on the property– big and small. The prices were reasonable, yes you will pay a little more than your local grocer but this money goes straight back to the farm. It feels nice to support local businesses so I have no problem spending $ 5-​$ 10 more on Hall’s pumpkins. We walked away with two miniature pumpkins, one medium and a very large one for $ 20. We carved the 2 larger gourds and let the little one draw on the minis.
It was a great time and I will recommend to anyone with small kids to make a trip out. See you next year Hall family!

I love this pumpkin patch! I discovered it last year with some friends and brought a big group of people for an event this evening. Its by far the best pumpkin patch in the area. (Be aware though that they do not take credit/​debit cards.)

This is a great pumpkin patch for the youngest of the little ones. It is tight and compact and there are plenty of excellent photo ops. It is free to enter and each activity has a separate cost. There are animals that are free to pet. We did not of any of the paid activities because our child was too young, but did buy food, which is reasonably priced.
The parking lot is dirt and bumpy, so don’t pull up in your Maserati. This is one of those places you can come for an hour, or stay for longer doing activities.

Excellent pumpkins of all sizes! They had lots of activities to keep the kids busy, but charge for everything individually. If you wanna ride the hayride you need to get tickets at 4pm for a later time in the evening. Parking and admission are free. Lots of learning, corn stalk, growing of pumpkins and animals. Definitely a place to visit in regard to a pumpkin patch.

OMG This is my first time coming to Hall’s Pumpkin Farm and I am not disappointed. They do an excellent job of catering to their core customer base: families with young children. It is a great relaxing and photo taken spot for kids and family, friends, or even a date. The photo opportunities are endless!
Take a hayride through their fields and get a closer look at their cattle. Tour of their properties and check out children’s activities.
There are lots of kid-​oriented things to do here, but my friends and I still enjoyed ourselves sans children. You can pick your own pumpkins from their patch without paying for admission. Pumpkins are available for sale…$ 8 – 12 for large, $ 5-​$ 8 for medium, and $ 3 for small ones.
It was my first time walking around corn maze with $ 5 admission. It is not too big or too small. It was so much fun though I enjoyed it.
A small selection of food is available at a concession stand. They have corns, BBQ pit, and popcorn available.
A fall must-​visit for your kids and for all of your pumpkin needs! Definitely get there early… it gets busier throughout the day.

Another great year for Hall’s Pumpkin Farm, complete with the Corn Maze ($ 5 ea), tons of great photo opportunities (free), playground (free) and plenty of eats and treats. We went tonight (Saturday evening) and while it was busy, it wasn’t overcrowded. My kids loved the challenge of the corn maze and we took a ton of pictures by the old tractors, old truck, and of course by the pumpkins and hay bales.
The lighting in the main part of the grounds is great, and there plenty of places to sit and talk while the kids run around.
A+ again for the Hall’s Farm experience — we’ll be back again next year!

This place is amazing! The kettle corn is addicting, and the hot chocolate is so creamy and SO GOOD!
My family and I have been going for 2 years now, and we will DEFINITELY be returning! My friends saw pictures from last year, and are begging me to take them!
The corn maze was SO fun! I spent HOURS playing hide-​and-​go-​seek with my younger cousins, and running around, having fun with them. The hayride was neat, you definitely don’t want to miss it!
I could not be anymore satisfied!
I look forward to this more than Fright Fest at Six Flags!
I CANNOT WAIT for them to open again this year!

Hall farm has become a tradition for my daughter and I every Halloween. We take her fall/​Halloween pictures and pick out our pumpkin. She loves feeding the animals and going on the hay ride. We have not done the corn maze yet but it seems like great fun! We might do that next time! :-)

We had a great time here! There are quite a few places to take pictures and there are lots of pumpkins for sale. They have a few farm animals you can look at as well as a corn maze and hay rides that run on the weekends. Admission to the grounds is free, but the maze and rides cost extra. This is all on the website. We went on a Tuesday evening and it wasn’t too crowded. The pumpkins are a tad overpriced, but it’s par for the course at a place like this. We will definitely be back next year for pictures and fun!
