The Masters Touch is a nice local place to take your kids to for beginner lessons. There is a variety of scheduling options which is a convenience for many families. My son took drum lessons here for 2 years(summers off) and unfortunately, we saw no real growth the 2nd year which is why we won’t be returning. Additionally, our daughter took piano lessons here for a year(she is self taught and can play multiple songs) in order to learn how to read music and gain a «formal» education, but we were sorely disappointed concerning the very basic level song she performed at the end of year recital. We questioned whether the year of lessons actually yielded any fruit. This year she will be taking private lessons. I can’t say this is true for all students as we were amazed with the growth of some students with different instructors. Perhaps you need to invest in longer or more frequent lessons to experience this. Both of our children are naturally gifted at music so they were extremely competent to be able to advance in skill. Moving from SoCal, the«recitals» here, we thought, were very casual and non formal. We expected more formality, and although we didn’t want rigid or expect an auditorium, we were taken aback by the«casualness». I’ll leave it at that. This is just my opinion … there are many repeat customers so obviously opinions differ, but this didn’t meet the needs of our family.
