The State of the Heart cardiologist is one of the most knowledgeable heart doctors I have seen. He has an advanced medical degrees, a Phd and an MBA. Thats about where the positive experience ends. The staff is very rude and unprofessional. On my first appointment I provided them with a copy of my insurance card and my medicare card. I explained that my Aetna Insurance would be primary and Medicare would need to be filed as secondary. The receptionist asked me for my copay of $ 20. I explained to her that I had met my deductibles and Medicare would pick up my copay along with any balance due after the Aetna payment. I was told that I would be required to pay the copay and would be issued a refund if my secondary paid it. Let me just say that it took multiple phone calls and a complaint to both Aetna and Medicare before I received my refund. Almost 6 months later. The next issue was with the tech/nurse arguing over my IV contrast allergy. I explained that I was allergic to all IV contrast which they didn’t seem to understand. Finally I provided a copy of my medical records from the hospital before they admitted they were wrong. My next issue is similar to the review left by another Unilocal member. I would have an appointment with the doctor and show up to be told that he was out of the office. No courtesy call or anything. I often would wait for an hour before being called back. Lastly, I stopped by to get a copy of my records to find out that he had filed for bankruptcy. Office locked. I have made multiple attempts and still can’t get my records.

I am still a patient doing great thanks to this great staff! My nurse Deanie has been with me through thick and thin and has helped me out every step of the way. I called her today and she called me back after hours to still provide great service! I can’t thank Dr. Osborne and staff enough!

This is the place to go for your heart! BUT, appointment times mean absolutely nothing to this staff. You are here at their convenience! Plan to spend the entire day here regardless of your appointment time! 5 stars for your heart, 1 star for service.

I can see that the place hasn’t changed much in two years since I have been there. I was there for a stress test and heart scan, it took 5 hours. I believe at one time I was put into a room and forgotten… plus it was freezing cold. I will never go back. I began to think that they pay people to walk back and forth in front of you and ignore you. I waited 25 minutes to get an IV removed. Nobody really talks to you about the procedures and times. Oh and I was there over lunch and I watched employees walk in front of me with their yummy smelling lunch and never offered me an apple!!! And I had been fasting for the test… maybe I was being punked.

My first experience at this facility was great. On my follow up visit I had to wait almost 2 hours past my appointment time to be seen. The staff didn’t bother to tell me there was a delay, only that I would get as much time with the Doctor as I needed. I was told I needed a test that would require special equipment and that I should get it within a week or so, well 2 months and 3 phone calls in, I still havn’t seen what I’m suppose to use. This is a typicial practice, the doctor is great, and the staff that works with you in the lab are fantastic. As for the front office staff, that is where the real opportunity starts. I understand they have a lot of peple to see, if they can’t treat you better than a number, then they should work with what they have and tell us they cannot take new customers. To this day, I don’t beleive that a message has been passed to Dr Osborne regarding my situation. I will continue to visit this paractice as Dr Osborne is amazing, I’ll have to «control» my blood pressure until I do get to see him.
