Stores like this steal my heart and make me get all jealous at the same time. I want to own a store like this… just need to get up the guts. Wood carved flowers are cool, I don’t care who you are. Silk flowers blow… the floral arrangements here are so vivid and some even are sculptural. Some are pricey… but for the work that was put into them I would probably charge for your leg too.

I read about Stems on Unilocal and my mom had actually bought a floral paper towel dispenser from them and told me about it, so I was in the area and stopped in to check them out. Stems is kind of a partial art gallery, partial retail store. They had some cool things in addition to their traditional art. One of which was a neat wine chiller that you could write on the outside in chalk. That does sound as cool in writing as it was in person, so just trust me. I love to see art galleries do well in the Dallas area and I love to see art galleries that make and sell stuff that normal people will buy and that normal people can afford. They do have some more expensive art in there, but a lot of it is good looking and reasonably priced. I am definitely a fan.

Very unique place. «Unique Arrangements & Gifts» is their slogan but while being true doesn’t really say a lot about what they do. Basically, Stems is an art gallery specializing in flowers, mostly lifelike bouquets. They also have paintings and such but they have all sorts of bouquets of flowers that are wood carved and painted. Real flowers are obviously always good, but it is a really neat and well executed idea to add color to a house with realistic looking flowers that are not the fake fabric kind. All in all, a unique type and collection of art that I had never seen before.
