Fantastic large sports bar inside the Gaylord Resort. The place is so big they have three different entrances into the bar depending on what part of the resort your in. Texas is the theme here… with a bunch of Dallas Cowboys jerseys framed through out the place as well as football helmets from different Texas colleges. No matter what direction you are facing you have a great view of a big screen TV. Part of the bar has a whole bunch of over-sized comfortable soft leather recliner chairs that face this monster sized flat screen TV, that takes up most of the wall. Plus there are tons of other TV’S all around this bad boy! They have three bars in here, and I tried them all. The main bar is in the restaurant part, lots more seating and those recliners too. Bartenders were friendly and engaging. Lots of different beers on tap to choose from. I sampled a few local beers before settling on the Franconia Blonde, brewed in McKinney.(a lighter beer with a clean after taste) Also liked the Revolver Blood and Honey, brewed in Granbury(wheat ale with a blood orange kick and it’s ABV is 7.0%) The smaller bar is closer to the hallway near the convention center. With a few high tables to enjoy a cocktail and people watch, but the also have more TV’s surrounding you. Watched some basketball and a football game on the big screen TV, while enjoying beers and snacks. Popcorn, nachos and wings all very good and perfect to share. But those recliners… aahhh best seats in the house! This was definitely my favorite place to grab a drink in the hotel.
