Palisades Property Management

Used John to get our rental on Lake Wildwood in Penn Valley. Everything was fine. Paperwork, deposit monies, credit checks all went fine. Did walk thru where he took hundreds of pictures to make sure everything was documented for us.
I can only imagine negative comments from other people are due to those other people being a little under educated perhaps on doing a walk through before they signed and stupidly didnt notice things that werent right.

A nightmare experience! He changed the name to Grass Roots. Geez… I wonder why?
Do others a favor and repost your comments under his new name.
1. Plumbing backs up every other toilet flush.
2. Broken pipes.
3. Un-​capped well
4. Shed filled with harmful chemicals
5. Garbage EVERYWHERE when I moved in
6. False advertisement — advertised a hot tub and then he tells us if it works great if not he is not going to fix it.
7. Carpet was disgusting. told us he was going to replace it.
8. Our electric box was tampered with.
9. Owner decides to sell the house during our lease. John Curtis gives the other realtors the keys to a house we pay electricity for.
10. Bat INFESTATION. He NEVER had the vents checked by a licensed HVAC tech. We went the entire winter without heat.
I would not recommend him to my worst enemy!

BEWARE AND BE AFRAID!
I agree with the other reviewers — John Curtis is a joke. He will do and say anything to further himself and line his pocketbook, even if it’s a lie.
Since renters and property owners don’t communicate, there’s room for error. John Curtis takes full advantage of this by cheating both sides out of money.
I would never recommend this business to anyone.

Palisades did an outstanding job helping me to rent my property. I only wish I would have started using them sooner. Very competent and thorough. Saved me a lot of money also.

Palisades Property Management is a «one-​man show»; the owner does it all. I rented a home through Palisades and I would never recommend them to anyone, renter or property owner.
The maintenance people contracted by Palisades were hit and miss; some were terrible, doing inferior, below code repairs, or not repairing the problem at all. Palisades was fully aware of this and knowingly allowed it.
Palisades has been known to hold money paid by the tenant for bills, not giving the payment to the rental property owner and allowing that owner to believe the tenant had not paid.
Through it all, Palisades put on a big smile.
In a nutshell this outwardly friendly business displayed acts of dishonesty, disorganization and incompetence. I would not recommend them to rental property owners or to renters.
