Sierra Timberline

Dan is a friendly salesman, and an expert in so many products. Andrew has so much experience. He has done installations on my house for the 2 previous owners. Will and Will who installed our beautiful new Jotul wood burning stove and chimney pipe were prompt, clean, polite, and did a first class job. Not cheap, but quality product and work.

I purchased a high end fireplace from them 3 years ago. It was delivered with a defective damper. The fire brick disintegrated in less than year. They replaced them and now that they finally got the part to repair the damper the fire brick is junk.
Bad product and WORSE SERVICE!!!

Update: ¹¹⁄₂₀ Larry (the serviceman stuck in the middle) arrived with new parts and completed the repairs under warranty. I think they got it this time.

I just had Scott from Sierra Timberline come out to tune and clean our gas fireplace. He was wonderful: prompt (early in fact), polite, friendly, very competent, and took the time to explain things to me thoroughly. I will definitely use them again in future.

Quality products; exceptional service. I have had a gas stove and a remote controlled retractable awning from them for about 15 years. Just had the awning fabric and electrical board replaced. Andrew is knowledgeable, helpful and great to deal with. He helped me select the replacement fabric with a deep understanding of the ratings which indicate how light and heat filter through the different types of colors and textures. I was able to make a better choice on fabric for the comfort and light in my living room. He also suggested that at about the 5 – 7 year point, have them come out and turn the fabric 180 degrees, so it will last longer. He replaced the electrical board and fixed the outlet, so that both units were working. I periodically have had the stove serviced and have been pleased with those folks as well. You may be able to buy a similar product for less, but for long lasting items, good service is paramount.

Quality products all the stoves and hot spring spas! Yes expensive and they need to make some profit too but in the past 13 years never experienced bad customer service.
If you call around yes you’ll find some lower price if you willing to travel.
I picked up a spa cover for$ 100 less in Redding when I was there on a business trip.

Customer Service was Excellent! Carol, greeted us with a warm smile. She was very knowledgable and helped us find the right Wood Stove for our home. She answered all our questions and then some. Larry the installer, he was our hero. He came to our home and answered many questions we had. We love our stove and I believe we will be going back to check out furniture that they had on display.
I can’t say enough good things about this company. And the price for the stove and installation was more than fair.

Horrible customer service. they installed a stove that has never worked properly. It has always emitted a very strong burning plastic odor which clearly is not due to the normal smell of a new unit that quickly burns .this lasted several seasons .we had to stop using the unit for concern our families health .the noxious fumes are so overwhelming we have to open all the doors and windows for a couple hours to air out the house .they were argumentative and dismissive and sent a «tech «whose diagnostic conclusion was «maybe there’s just dust on the glass pane «and sprayed winded on it. Amazing. every winter I call to implore them to fix it. suffice it to say I am contacting Call Kurtis to move ahead with seeking a remedy through their advocacy. if this doesn’t work I’m taking them to small claims court. I advise any Nevada county resident seeking a heating unit through a local store… to visit Abercrombie, Foxfire or any other company besides Sierra timberline in grass valley.

I really like this store! Very high-​end but great sales, also great help whether you are buying something as small as a pillow or as big as a fireplace insert! I have had various remodeling projects over the years and I find the local contractors always give them the highest recommendation. I backed out of a purchase recently and they were completely nice about returning my deposit and respecting my decision. These are good people to deal with.

Very excited to learn that this Grass Valley landmark in quality stoves and spas is now carrying a home furnishing line. The entire upstairs of the showroom is now fine, made in the USA furniture. From sofas and recliners to dinning sets and lamps, look no further. Finally a local store we trust that sells the home goods we need! As a designer, I was very impressed with the selection, quality and staff. If you haven’t been in the store for a while, check it out! It sure beats driving to Roseville for quality home furnishings.

High quality merchandise, but the people who work their sure have an attitude. We love supporting locally, but we expect more… To not only deal with poor service, but have «snippy» attitudes from the people in charge is pretty disheartening. We’ll take our business elsewhere next time…
