We have been riding here for two years, and though it’s a hike for us(over an hour roundtrip from Highland Park), it’s the third place we have ridden at in the area and the exceptional horses, laid back environment and engaging/patient instructors are worth it. I’m rather shocked by the bad review from 2011, but we weren’t riding here then so who knows. My daughter is almost 7, started riding here when she was 5, and the horses and instructors have been worth the trek. She is riding in her first show in October — so exciting! Cost is pretty average. Rebecca is an excellent instructor with first timers and younger kids.

Great staff always with the utmost concern for safety first. Excellent instruction to challenge riders to ride the right way and develop at their own pace.

We have been at Equidream for 3 years now and couldn’t be happier. They provide a friendly atmosphere, great trainers, wonderful well tempered horses, and terrific opportunities for even beginners to shine. They have 3 schooling show a year and have 2 competitive show teams which consistently perform to the highest ability. The trainers are friendly, and safety is their HIGHESTPRIORITY. There are a few trainers so you have opportunity to find who you«click» with. Though all are truly great instructors. From Beginners(Greenies) to Seasoned Riders(competitive and leisure) Equidream is a great place to ride.

My sons are ages 8 and 6 ½, and my neice is 8 years old used a Groupon for a private lesson here, and it was a TERRIBLE experience. The instructors were incredibly RUDE and DEMEANING to the children. The instructors yelled at the children(in a mean tone) and were constantly checking/texting on their phones. They made derogatory remarks to the children(told my son that he looked like the Hunchback of Notre Dame, and told him that his little brother was doing better than him.) I can’t believe that any adult would treat a child like this, let alone an instructor! And all of this from a business with any sort of reputation?! Unfortunately, I was in their viewing room, and couldn’t hear most of this, but thankfully, my sister was outside, and did. The children told us all the details afterwards. I didn’t bother to say anything to the instructors, since the obviously didn’t care. I just don’t want anyone else to have to endure this treatment.
