Pastries are amazing but workers are snotty and the place is way OVERPRICED!!! The location in Lenox is much more inviting.

Through a stroke of serendipity, on a recent Saturday morning, we came across Patisserie Lenox. A kind, grandmotherly woman concerned herself with informing us about all the delicate looking pastries we were considering. Her wise counsel ended in our picking a sugar brioche and a chocolate almond croissant. I’m allergic to almonds, so I entrusted the tasting of the croissant to my fellow snackers, who showed their delight by eagerly devouring the croissant. I was impressed by the airy, buttery consistency of the brioche, though I found the sugar dusting rather chunky and inconsistent with the ethereal quality of the brioche itself. This fresh dessert source we’ll come back to, and we look forward to trying their other offerings.

Absolutely the best chocolate chip cookie I have ever had. Their mille-feuille and macaron and no-flour chocolate cake are works of art.

This café has a really lovely selection of pastries, from brioche to pan au chocolat, danishes, and cinnamon rolls, as well as extra snacks and macarons in the front case. The coffee is generally good, if not exceptional. What I like most about the Patisserie is that it’s usually quiet and the clientele subdued, so it’s a nice place to relax with a snack during the day. The service, however, is uniformly disengaged — they don’t seem especially pleased to see customers and can sometimes be downright unfriendly. And the last time I was there, the cinnamon roll I had wasn’t terribly fresh. This is not to say I’d never go back, but I expect a lot more for $ 4.

This place smells amazing, which is why my friend and I decided to go in while waiting for Gypsy Joynt to open. I was delighted to find a HUGE case of macarons in many different flavors. While they are a little pricey, they were fantastic! I can only speak to the macarons, since we were there on our motorcycles, I couldn’t take much home.

Quite the charming place! Once inside you’ll feel like you’re in a small European café. I wish I could say we tried one of the brunch items but we stopped in just for a few bakery items. Yes it is a little pricey but I would argue that given the beautiful presentation and delicious taste, totally worth it.

Wow. I could lunch here every day. Fantastic mushroom bechamel! Highly recommended.

Sorry, but great pastries don’t compensate for miserable service. We waited over 10 minutes while FOUR people milled around behind the counter doing something with the cash register. Not a single one of them could even be bothered to turn to us and say, «We’ll be right with you.» We finally left without ordering; clearly they didn’t want or need our business. There is NO excuse for that kind of treatment of customers. I’ll never be back.

The best coffee I have found yet in The Berkshires… the place was hopping! It was lunch time and coffee is my thing. I am in search of a great cup… Not just good. This is good. I am hard to please when it comes to coffee. One trend I am noticing is the customer service — service with a smile — is lacking around here. I don’t get it. This place got four stars because I got a smile and she tried to make my Breve Latte the way I like it. The effort was there… the coffee was almost there… The food looks fabulous and I will be back to try it. I will also give them another shot at coffee…

Normally love this place but the serving girl today was alone and unable to handle the crowd on her own. Ordered two breakfasts and a pastry, and French press, was not asked if I wanted a large or a small, was not aware there were sizes… French press comes out and it was for one person… Got attitude because I wasn’t aware it was going to be small… Two of us wanted coffee. Pastry forgotten and didn’t get a number so I had to ask the serving girl if that was our food, we ordered a second French press, I explicitly said a large and it was a small, again. Never got the pastry so had to ask for that too… Very dissatisfied and I typically am very flexible but the attitude was just bad. Normally very friendly place.

A really wonderful spot to sit out on Main Street and watch the world go by. Bistro chairs and tables covered by an awning on the shady side of the street with soothing music piped in. Although each and every pastry looks amazing, I stick to my flour/sugar free option of a crock of French Onion Soup. Often the service is perplexing but the rest of the experience makes it worthwhile. Maybe it’s a French thing.

Lovely coffee and friendly staff. The pastries looked amazing but had to abstain as just before dinner. The best and goats cheese salad was great. Delicious. Great value.

Fantastic ham and Swiss croissant! It’s warm, flaky, and has béchamel drizzled on top. Soooooo delicious!

Absolute bakery heaven. As soon as you walk in, you’re hit with that deliciously warm scent of bread and chocolate and whipped cream… I opted for the chocolate éclair and chocolate chip cookie. The éclair: So light and fluffy yet incredibly rich & indulgent. The creamy middle was offset by the hard chocolate topping(which was sprinkled with MORE chocolate)…seriously though, the quality of the chocolate is just incredible.(Hint: I just really enjoy chocolate). The cookie: don’t be fooled by how it looks. I was sceptic all at first because it appeared flat and burnt but I had to try just to see. And boy was I wrong! The cookie was filled with layers of that same great quality chocolate. The edges that appeared burnt were actually caramelized and delicious. And flat it was not! It was actually huge and I only finished half. My fiancé got a brownie which he said was great but rich-almost too rich. But«too rich» isn’t in my vocabulary and he isn’t the one writing the review:) There were also other great things: fruity eclairs, fruit tarts, breads, cinnamon twists, blondies, & more. I will admit it was a bit pricy but worth it so I couldn’t knock off a star.

I am always given the task of bringing dessert for Christmas since I excel at baked goods(we all excel at something), and looked at Patisserie Lenox’s website and FB page to see what they offered. Everything looked good and the Unilocal reviews were positive, so I ordered an Apple Raspberry tart which was one of the«Christmas Menu» offerings. Picked it up Christmas Eve and it was boxed up and looked like a gift itself with a gorgeous bow, but as we know, pastry is all in the taste. This tart was DELICIOUS. My family loved it, and my Aunt(who spends the Summer in Becket) asked at least 4x if it is available during the Summer months. While I was waiting for it to be boxed I did a thorough scan of all the pastries in the case and on the counter, and decided this place is first rate…

Afternoon cappuccino and a blueberry tart. French music playing. Ahhhh. Excellent place to sit down and take in the pastries and cakes. I’ll be back to try their menu which looks great. Ahhh again.

Lovely selection of pastries on Sat afternoon. Nice pastries on the whole though not top notch today — almond croissant was flat and oozing. A first class patisserie would not put those out for sale. It’s a lovely, airy room with comfortable seating. Service was terrible and rude. It’s too bad because otherwise room would be lovely to enjoy espresso and pastry. They have nice looking made-to-order lunches. Appears to be good choice to pick up a cake, tarts, Eclairs, etc to go, and sign states they make cakes to-order. Macarons did not rise properly. Look good, but again not 5-star worthy. They have wifi but I did not want to go back up to the counter to ask the bristling worker for password. I hope the owner trains servers better.

This was my first time here. The food was great!!! I got the caprese sandwich on baguette. The bread was baked to perfection but the side of mixed greens was practically 3 pieces of greens. The staff is friendly but inexperienced. They hadn’t a clue about how to serve food and drinks. Also, I watched half of a tables order go out and the other half of the table waited another fifteen minutes for their food. The staff is allowed to wear tank tops and open toes shows, an obvious«no-no» in the restaurant industry. I will be back but I was slightly disappointed in the lack of attention to detail that often only a restaurant employee can see. The staff needs to be properly trained to make this the place it has the potential to be.

I’ve been here a few times & I’ve always had a nice experience. The staff is nice, informed & efficient. The pastries, coffee, tea & warm cider is delicious. Lunch options look amazing but I’ve never tried. A wonderful, welcome addition to the Berkshires; I enjoy spending my afternoons here with coffee & a good book. Beautiful presentation of their food.

Came here on a rainy and chilly day on my last vist to GB. This is a cozy quaint café. Nice display of of their delicacies and there’s a chalk board on the side which lists their specials of the day. I had the hot chocolate and some cheese and raspberry croissant thingie. I wasn’t a huge fan of the cheese and raspberry thing, I felt that the combo was not too appetizing. Hot chocolate was amaz-balls though. Definitly hit the spot on a dreary day. I do intend to come back and try some other things. Seating’s a bit tight.
