Our food was all great. Our burgers with Swiss and mushrooms were awesome and my friend’s pasta dish was delicious. This place has a great atmosphere for a date.

We stopped for the night at The local Best Western and on the motel clerk’s recommendation walked across the parking lot and gave this local spot a try for dinner. The décor seemed dated but the staff was attentive and efficient. My wife ordered Southwest Chicken Wrap /Chips & I ordered Buffalo Chicken Wrap also/Chips. The chips were warm & good .The salsa was chilled & fresh. The wrap dressings were served in sterling gravy boats and were perfect for the wraps which were large and tasty. The beer was cold & the prices fair. Good spot!

Excellent place to eat drink and or watch sports. Great sports bar in a small town. Great Bend has limited places for a good meal, drinks and if you want, great sports coverage on TV. Happy hour is a plus as it is anywhere. The food is excellent and in spite a small staff service was very efficient. We had a beer and salads, one with salmon and enjoyed a relaxing evening

Fist visit to this town… Walked from hotels Excellent food! Great happy hour prices and good beer selection! Nice ambience! Quiet(4:00) My waitress was really sweet and attentive. I honestly couldn’t decide what to eat and ended up with the patty melt and onion rings. Excellent choice! Yum! Delivered as ordered and the sirachi mayo with the onion rings is delish. If my trip allows, I’ll be back for the pizza and happy hour beer! Only downfall on this visit… the wifi stinks! Can’t really complain about that while eating.

The Page generally has the best food in town. At least, it the most consistent, in terms of quality. The steaks here are generally about as good as you’ll find anywhere. Burgers, chicken fried steak, chicken picata; all very good. They also have very good appetizers. The chicken strips can be overcooked at times. When they serve fries, they are lattice fries. Not really my favorite, but nothing wrong with them. I only gave The Page 3 stars, however. The big knock on The Page is the service. They are consistently understaffed and have trouble keeping up. They are slow to take your order, slow to bring you food, slow to refill drinks, and you often have to get a waiter/waitress’ attention to get anything. If you have time and/or if you go in during the«off hours,» the Page is a great place to eat. Good food and you’ll enjoy it. If you go in when they are busy or if you are in a hurry, you’ll probably be frustrated.

Good selection of beers on tap, Philly cheese steak sandwich yummy, not as good as the real one in Philly, but close. service good on a Thursday evening even though there were two large groups there

Horrible experience! We had a group of 23 with a week’s notice. A server called in sick, so we only had one server. There was also only one for the main dining area. On a positibe note, our server made the best of a horrible time for us and her. We were there for over three hours. By the time the food came out, it was burned to a crisp. Even the salad had melted cheese! We had to ask for the manager. Luckily we got a 30% discount. But why did we have to ask for it? Where was the manager during our three hour ordeal?

Rumor has it this is the best restaurant in town. If that’s true, it’s very sad. Across the parking lot from my hotel, I’ve eaten there twice. The service is horrible, unless they recognize you as a regular. Even the manager makes the rounds to tables of folks she recognizes. We didn’t get rolls or drink refills unless we asked. When the server cleared the plates, one of the diners in our party asked for dessert. The server didn’t ask if any one else wanted dessert, just brought back 1 slice of cake. When she brought it to the table, someone else in our party asked for a piece of cake. She turned without speaking and returned 10 minutes later with 1 more piece of cake and our check. The second time I ate here, my entrée came out less than 10 minutes after I received my salad. I moved my salad to make room for the dinner plate, and when I turned back, the waiter had reached behind me to grab my half eaten salad and disappeared. Again, no offer of dessert, just a check. My steak was burned on the outside, the mashed potatoes were cold, and the capri veggies were soggy. Woodies Smokehouse or Montana Mike’s is a better choice.

The food here, overall, is good, however its speed leaves something to be desired. I have talked to other visitors who have had a much different experience than me, but I always seem to hit them on a night that it takes forever to get my food.

This restaurant seems to have been renamed«The Page – An American Bistro.» This review is for May 30. After a few days in small western Kansas towns, It was thrilling to find a menu that had more than burgers, shrimp, steaks, and chicken strips on the menu. It actually had pasta dishes! I even found chicken piccata. And there were vegetables! Well, overcooked steamed corn that I’m sure had been frozen, but the closest thing I’d seen to a vegetable in several days. My husband asked the waitress if the chicken-fried steak was fresh. She hesitated and then said she thought it was. He ordered it anyway, and he was pretty sure they used frozen steak. He should have known better. The sauce on my chicken had far more butter(?) than lemon, but I was just happy it wasn’t breaded and deep fried.

Fantastic food, but service is hit and miss. It is actually in the same building as Perkins and the signs say«The Page American Bistro.»
