Ana Visage Day Spa

I don’t know what I could add here, just to say that to be polite I will withhold telling you the details of how horrible this place is. All I can say is that this place shouldn’t exist. I don’t like businesses that open for any other purpose other then to HELP PEOPLE. When a business opens for money ONLY it disservices the community. The patrons get labeled as «suckers». And nO body is happy. Just go to somewhere run by a real esthetician. Someone who cares NOT just about their money (that’s part is taken for granted) but how (and if) they can help/​have helped you. NOT the case here AT ALL. I guess I bothered to post because I saw someone give this place a two stars. (Really? Why cuz it’s sterile? Yes it’s «clean» but it’s not because the owner Nahid G aka «ana» is a clean or organized person it’s because she slaves YOU the customer or students or workers to keep things IMPECCABLE at all times and that is where her heart is, it’s NOT on you the human being. Her heart is into HER BUSINESS NOT into serving you. Get it?). Even the name «Ana» she made it because of the letter «A». Shows up first in advertising. NOTHING to do with anything else! Heartless in all other aspects. If you have been here and are now here and want to give it a one please you should. The person who gave a 2 hasn’t seen/​experienced enough, or is being polite. Being honest, I’d give it a 0 if I could.

Again 0 stars is what is deserved. I don’t know who this Faiza B character is or who that image is of. There was absolutely no focus on satisfaction at all when I was at school there. Mostly, international students being taken advantage of.
At one point, I nearly proved that I was not given a tip for a service I performed by asking to look at the appointment log and the woman who working there, got upset, took the log and wouldn’t let me see it and then didn’t speak to me for the rest of the time I was there. I’m pretty sure her name was Nahid or Naheed.

The pricing at this spa is outrageous. Buyer beware. They’ll tell you it’s $ 60 for a Brazilian bikini wax, but if you want the part where your actual bikini line is, it’s an extra $ 25. They consider that the top of the leg, which is asinine. So for a real Brazilian wax, you’ll spend $ 85. Which you won’t know till your paying for services. The décor is outdated, and the location is anything but convenient. I would definitely keep looking if waxing is what your in for. And after all of that, she didn’t do nearly as good a job as with other places i’ve been. And to top it all off, i had to do a clean up tweeze the next day once i had on my bikini.
I will say she gave me a ‘break’ on the waxing since when i called in i was given completely incorrect info. But it just isn’t worth it for me. I had a better experience, and a better wax at the Red Door Spa in Fairfax, and that cost me $ 2 less for the same exact thing.

I can’t even begin to express how horrible my experience at Ana Visage really was. I took my mother there for her 50^th birthday and purchased the most expensive all-​day package they offered. I also work at an area spa and was expecting the same relaxing atmosphere that is offered at my place of employment. Bare with me… I know this is a long review, but I just want people to be aware so they don’t waste their hard-​earned money like I did.
First, the beds in both the facial and massage rooms are hard. There is no padding, nor any blankets.
Second, you can hear absolutely everything going on around you. There were employees in the next room having a very loud conversation for basically my entire massage. I understand that is not fully the spa’s fault. However, they should encourage employees to be as quiet has possible for the relaxation of the patrons.
Third, when I received my body treatment (a salt glow and «aromatherapy» oil wrap, they didn’t even do the back of my legs. Also I was forgotten about by the technician after being put in my wrap for a good half hour. When she came back she said that she was busy answering phones and forgot about me! And no aromatherapy was even offered.
Fourth, in the package there was a manicure and pedicure. This is not given to you at the spa! They walk you across the back alley to the nail place next door! When you buy a spa package you expect to be given a spa manicure and pedicure, not to be taken to the local nail shop… this is just misleading advertisement.
Fifth, there were no extras that make a spa… well, a spa. No robes were offered (I ended up just taking one off the door), and no one offered to put our belongings in a safe place. We ended up carrying all our clothes and purses with us from room to room. There were also no refreshments offered until the spa lunch that was included in the package. I’m used to cookies, teas, coffee, etc. when I go to an all-​day spa.
And finally, once you pay, they REFUSE to give you any kind of leniency on the no refund policy. I spoke to the owner about how unhappy I was and she refused to give me even one penny of my money back. She was very argumentative and rude. She kept saying that I signed the credit card receipt and should know that there were no refunds… um, what are the other options? If I hadn’t signed the receipt and refused to pay, I’m sure I’d have been talking to the police! I signed it thinking that the owner actually cared about the reputation of her spa and would try to accommodate me in some way. She did offer a complimentary facial… which doesn’t help, since at this point, I’d never ever go back.
The only bright spots of the day were the girl at the front desk (extremely friendly!) and the massage was actually pretty good.
But overall, it truly was a disappointment to plan a spa day for your mother and have it turn out this way. I was in no way relaxed when I left there… in fact, I had a headache. I would not recommend this spa to anyone. In fact, I strongly urge you not to bother. There are many more enjoyable and more relaxing spas in the area.
