This is my go-to spot for kabobs. They are always very juicy and delicious. The naan is made in a fire pit which is how you have to do it and very good. The staff is very friendly and nice. My family and I have been ordering from here for years and will be for years to come.

The ownership of the place has changed since my last review. The place still serves absolutely delicious cornish hen kabobs. The difference now is the service is much better. My friend inquired about some of the menu items. Khambiz(I might be really off with the name), presumably one of the owners, went out his way to answer her questions, including bringing us free samples to try. We had an wonderful time and hope to go back often.

Hands down the best kabobs I have ever had. Every time I go to saffron their food is amazing. The chicken and rice combo is my favorite but they have a lot of other foods you can get. Their bread and yogurt sauce are the tastiest I’ve eaten. The guy who started moby dick sold it several years ago and opened saffron grill.

Great Food. The chicken and beef kabobs are fresh and flavorful. Saffron Grill is a step above the competition. I would like to add that this is a family run restaurant with one of the two owners usually on site. Their goal is to make you happy. Be Happy Life is Good at Saffron Grill.

WIsh there was a choice for zero stars. The place was empty when I got there. VERYBADSIGN. They said they had no gyro meat and convinced me they would substitute with lamb meat. «It be better». They said. When I got home and looked at what they gave me for $ 16.00 it was rice with stale bread and meat. No tomatoes no onions, no fresh bread, no gyro meat. All I got was ripped off for $ 16.00. When I called to ask about my order, they lied to me, then got angry and hung up. I will never go back, these 2 guys are a bunch of clowns and dishonest.

I am big on Mediterranean food and also big on looking at Unilocal to read reviews prior to making a final decision on a restaurant. We came across this restaurant on the way to great falls and was skeptical after seeing an overall 3.5 rating. Boy I’m glad we still took the risk. It’s rare to have lamb and beef served – I want to say– perfect. It was juicy, tender and full of flavor. Their chicken was really good too. Go in there for the meat and you will not be upset.

Amazing restaurant. I especially enjoyed the number 15 and 16. The lamb and beef were cooked to perfection. I went to law school in the greater Detroit area which was overpopulated by Lebanese and Chaldean communities so I ate Mediterranean food on a regular basis. Saffron grill was the first Mediterranean restaurant that took a different take on its cuisine. It wasn’t the usual boring and bland food but rather a authentic Iranian version of Mediterranean cuisine. Many times Mediterranean restaurants don’t wash their meat properly nor do they cook the meat to proper tenderness. But at saffron this was not the case. The chicken was super juicy, the beef was braised properly, and the lamb was washed correctly so it was not smelling. I liked it a lot and I hope you give it a chance.

Best middle eastern food around! I love the Koobideh. The raita is decent but could stand some more spice. Quick and good each time.

Yeah… so wow. Can’t believe I never discovered this place earlier. Such a hidden little gem just off route 7. Figured it would be your standard kabob place, which I guess in some ways it is, but the food is just so exceptionally good compared to many of the places I have been. The saffron rice is excellent. Salads at these places typically consist of some meh iceberg lettuce and a tomato slice. But no, at Saffron, it’s a real little side salad with cabbage and carrots and several veggies on a good mix of greens with homemade balsamic dressing. Further, the meat itself is where saffron really shines. It’s so perfectly cooked, and they really seem to season exactly right. I highly recommend the lamb gyro here — it’s unlike any I’ve ever had. And it’s exceptional. I mean, seriously the best gyro I’ve ever had. The meat is just slightly more thickly sliced than how gryo meat usually is, and the exterior is crispy, keeping the interior of the meat flavorful and juicy. My mouth is watering again right now just thinking about it. Also, this place has great fountain beverages and they gave away some free pita and tzatziki sauce while we waited on the food. Definitely want to go back!(P.S. Service was EXCELLENT… although there was no one else in the restaurant at lunchtime on a Saturday. Weird.)

Come on guys, you have to pay more attention to the food you serve. Ordered the Koobideh and Chicken kabob, both had no flavor at all. I don’t think even basic salt and pepper were used let alone any spice! There was no sumac on the kabobs — that should be a given and the rice you use is of very low quality. Remember every single order has your reputation on the line. You should inspect every dish. I will fine it another chance and hopefully it’s better next time!

I went here last night with my Red Hats group and for everyone but me it was their first time. I was there several years ago and thought it was good, but just did not have the opportunity to go back. If you are going be prepared to be there a while as the food is definitely made to order. It is very fresh and tasty. Everyone of us enjoyed our meal — between all of us, we had chicken, ground beef, and lamb. The rice was good and the salad was quite tasty. A couple of us took doggy bags as the portions are plentiful. The restaurant was not busy with eat in customers, but seemed to be doing a good business of takeout orders. It was clean and the service was good.

Came across this place by total accident. We were planning to go to Kabob Place couple of miles earlier in the drive for some persian food and that place was closed. So we decided to drive on and find another place and we were at a traffic light and my eyes happen to fall on the restaurant sign. I realized only persians grill food with saffron so decided to give it a try and boy it was awesome. We are so glad we stopped here. The Kubideh was juicy and packed with flavor. The kabob barg was tender beyond belief. And the grilled cornish hen was spectacular.

The food tastes good and it seems fresh. My problem with this place is it’s just a little pricey for what it is but I guess it is great falls.

My husband and I stumbled across Saffron Grill by making a wrong turn actually and thank goodness we did! It was tasty and service was great! We sat outside. I had a dolmeh and masto-o-khiyar(cucumber yogurt dip) and a salad. My husband got koobideh and jujueh with rice. The brought up super warm bread that was yummy. I do have to say some sabzi would have been a nice touch but I really appreciated the warm bread. Our food was brought pretty quickly and they checked back several times to see if we needed anything. The best part was that it started pouring as we finished so we ran into the car because we had our dog. When I went back in to ask about dessert options — he said he could bring us anything we wanted to the car since we had the dog. They weren’t joking! We got ice cream, bakhlava and tea and he actually brought it all out on a tray and let us eat it in the car! It was great. He even came in the rain to deliver it. Such nice guys! Definitely check out Saffron grill — a cute and cozy place!

This place is just so-so. The good: Ingredients seem fresh. Chicken was tender and of good quality and the salad was crunchy and fresh. It came with balsamic vinegrette, which was pretty good. I enjoyed the bread. My main complaint is that while being fresh, the meal overall was just bland. The seasoning on the chicken was not very flavorful. There was a small measly pile of saffron rice dumped onto a larger pile of plain rice that was unseasoned and bland as well. Even the saffron rice didn’t seem flavorful either. Not really impressed with this place. Maybe their other dishes are better.

We weren’t sure about this place and read the review! Overall it was a good place. We had the saffron combo with beef and chicken. The beef tasted better than the chicken marinate. Staff was awesome! Green tea was great!

I’m comparing this to other Greek food restaurants I’ve had so I don’t know if it’s a fair comparison? We were invited to come here with relatives so I’m not quite sure if this was a Greek restaurant or middle eastern type food. Regardless, the food was pretty good! The lamb I had was really soft tasting. I’m used to a chewier consistency but the flavor was good. The rice I’ve had better but it wasn’t bad. I had the gyro platter. The salad that came with it was yummy — I love balsamic vinegar dressing. I just wish they put the salad on a different plate rather than with my rice/gyro. I’d definitely come here again if I was in the area. Friendly service.
