They are always very knowledgeable and helpful. Though the prices a not always the best the selection is good and very convenient. Plenty of parking.

Very helpful staff. Went out of their way to find the specific thing I was looking for in their basement stockroom. Very clean store. I love all the trays organizing all the nuts and bolts you’ll ever need for any type of material. The organization alone is wortht of 5 stars. They always have what I’m looking for (with the exception of driveway salt in february, but then again, there were no stores within 150 miles with salt either). My go-​to place for everything from plungers to mulch to two inch concrete anchors.

Stopped in for something specific, and we received helpful and polite direction from the gentleman at the register. He knew right where we needed to go and we were in and out of there in no time. It’s pretty tight in there but no problem when the staff knows where to go and is available to answer!

I live a stone’s throw away from ACE and love visiting it every time I need something. I’ve come here for hardware so many times. Most recently, I came to buy rope and hooks to set up my hammock in the backyard, and a plastic cover for it when it rains.
What I love most — and this sounds weird, because it’s not a restaurant — is the ambiance. It’s so brightly lit and beyond clean and organized, and the staff is so helpful and down to earth. Really love that.

FOREST HILLS, NY
Long Island has some quaint towns where shopping is more pleasure than an ardious task that shopping in some parts of NYC have become for me.
The Ace Hardware (Costellos) of Great Neck is just such a store where the help is second to none, even though it was my first time inside I was treated like a regular.
The few items I bought, literally shined upon the shelves they were set upon, all labels facing forward, no items out of place, I love that.
Turns out an item I purchased broke, as I am not Mr Delicate Hands. Clearly I could have been stuck due to human error and had little faith when I returned to try to get a refund.
I know the store manager had no obligation to take it back, he radioed the front register with specific. defective return instructions and I was on my way. The store manager was such a kind and helpful gentleman, this man if not the owner, should be retained at all costs.

Great hardware store, and it took me 3 trips there to get a set of keys made properly, so I don’t recommend them for that.
The staff is very, very nice and helpful. They have a great selection with everything under the sun.
I will definitely use this business again.

Great addition to the neighborhood. Kind of place that seems to have anything you are looking for. Store is brightly lit and clean (it is pretty new so lets hope it stays that way). The staff is mostly friendly (with a couple of exceptions) and they either know how to answer your questions or they get someone who can. Helped me in a pinch a few times, the most recent on Wednesday night when I needed a 5 gallon bucket to brine my turkey for Thanksgiving! Of course they came through and it was only $ 3.50.

LITTLE NECK, NY
I love ACE in Great Neck! Everyone is always super helpful. They helped me putty and stain a chair I busted among many other things. They made moving into my first apartment very easy :)
