We went there for lunch and had a great time! The pizza is amazing and the service is very good. The décor is a little dark and the walls are adorned with photos of old-time N.Y. sports stars. The bathrooms are immaculate. We took home a pot of their meatballs and wow!! – both for the sauce and the meatballs.

Very busy, very crowded tonight. The wonderful staff handled it to tee. Food was excellent as Always and didn’t slow down. Highly recommended!

I loved this place! Old school Italian menu. Not too much variety, but the top 3 important things– pizza, meatballs, & calzones bigger than my head! I ordered the baked chicken wings w carmelized onions & focaccia bread… wow! Hubby ordered the calzone… very good also. They had a deal on wine and beer. House wine red or white– $ 5 a glass… sold! White wine complimented the meal perfectly! Waitress was great, very attentive and informative. We asked her the history of the franchise and she knew her facts. TVs everywhere showing different sports. Huge bar area over by the entrance. They seem to be big on craft beers and specialty beers. Valet parking as soon as you pull up– which is great because there is no parking on the avenue outside. All in all, great place, great food. Next time I’ll try the pizza– because my friends said I’m crazy for not trying it.

Hot damn this pizza is good. Real crispy thin crust style amazingness. My favorites are the fresh mozzarella/sliced tomato and the sausage ricotta. No garlic powder here either — just real crushed garlic upon request. What I didn’t expect, however, were how incredible the wings are. Oven roasted chicken wings with the perfect amount of seasoning and just the right char. Topped with carmelized onions and on a bed of focaccia. These kind of wings would be right up your alley if you’re into flavorful, not just saucy. And the service — on point. Wait staff from other tables would routinely check on us, even just to ask how the food was — says a lot about a place.

We frequent the Carle place location on The weekends which can get crowded. The menu is minimal but ever dish we’ve tried was delicious, the bar drinks and beer are varied and the staff is seriously awesome. The only downer is that for some reason the place is turning into an old people hangout(60’s and over) which ruined the vibe for us.

I’ve been to Anthons several times and it’s the best coal fire pizza you can get on the island and in the boroughs. I always start out with the red sangria, which isn’t the sweet kind. it’s so compatible with the food, they have truly mastered sangria. for an appetizer the wings are bangin’, they’re always fresh and I just love tasting that black coal on it. yummy. you can’t go wrong with any of the pizzas! the regular with extra sauce is to die for! a large is enough for two people. my boyfriend like to get the onion with sausages, so so good. for dessert we have the espresso, top notch. tastes beautiful and it just slides down my throat. overall 5⁄5! if I could give more stars I would !

Everything that we ordered was so salty! The service was good, the décor is ok but the food needs a closer look. I don’t know if I’ll give this place another chance. It was the forth time here but it seems that it’s getting worst

A true pizzeria with amazing pizza. I went there on a Saturday night and it was pretty relaxing. Just what was needed. The service was very great and the waiter attended to our every need. We ordered the pizza with all the vegetables, and half of it had the hot peppers on it. Wowzers were they hot! But the waiter did warn us. We also got the pie with arugula on it. My favorite!!! One thing lacking was, which is my own personal preference, is that it had Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. I am very picky with where my Parmesan cheese goes and I didn’t want it on my arugula pizza. There were some chunks on the arugula as well which kind of turned me off. But again, that’s because I’m specific about Parmesan. The cheesecake is a must!!! It was a friend’s birthday and we got her a slice of their cheesecake. They came out with a candle, and sang happy birthday, the perfect thing for our birthday girl! I really couldn’t get enough of it. It was beyond delicious. I would go back just for that!(Cheesecake is by far my most favorite dessert). It was also great that there were large flat screen tvs above us so that avid sports fans can watch the game while they have a slice, or 2, of pizza. Since it wasn’t such a crowded spot, they started to clean up around 1030 for closing. Only downside about the service was the the waiter was too busy cleaning up to check on us to see if we wanted the check, and to see if we paid /needed change. I will definitely come back for a casual night of pizza and beer.

This place was horrible. I have no the gone there and ordered out and the quality of food it garbage. For a pizza place in New York this is the rock bottom. The only reason I gave it 1 star is that the wings are ok and the onion focaccia is ok. Other then that stay away.

I love the pizza and service here. I am really picky with my pizza but this is excellent. Hot long finger peppers and mushrooms, thin and crispy make for a delicious pizza. Luciano at the bar is a total asset. Profession and great service.

Food is good, not great. Gourmet pizza is an oxymoron because it’s still just pizza. It’s not a better pizza than your local independent pizza parlor, it’s just a different style. Toppings are a little better quality at Anthony’s than most places, but they charge a premium for them. Get half onion and half pepperoni? Well, they’ll charge you for two separate toppings at the whole pie rate. C’mon! This is in addition to regular price increases on their already overpriced menu. As a customer, I’m fed up with it and won’t be hurrying back anytime soon. I used to be a regular about once a week too. Probably the only way I’ll go back is if someone gives me a gift certificate. The value just isn’t there.

For the people who mock the wings, it’s amazing how they have the ability to use a computer to complain yet are unable to research the fact that they make their wings one way. Wings are great, pizza is great if you like thin crust, service is great. I go there practically every weekend and are more than satisfied with my visit, I suggest the same. Just stay out of my booth!

Have to agree with Lily T. The food at this place is horrible. Pizza tastes like cardboard with cheese. The sauce had no flavor whatsoever. Everything was bland. The famous chicken wings are sautéed in onions. What’s so special about this? You never had onions before!?? I don’t like onions and I certainly didn’t like the chicken drum sticks at all. The place was pretty full with others who have zero taste in food. The only thing good was the hostess, our waiter and the décor. Change the chef or your pizza recipe and I’d consider coming back. Until then, you won’t see my face.

I’ve been to many different locations and never had a bad experience! I love Anthony’s! Good seasonal beer selection. I always get white pizza– delicious! Chicken wings are always a must and every once in awhile ill get the meatballs as well. Definitely recommend if you’ve never had them.

Did we order the wrong items? Everything we ordered tasted awful. Me and my husband came here during lunch time on a weekday and the place only had about 2 tables. We ordered the lunch special speciality cauliflower pizza, the meatball sandwich and the famous oven baked wings. The worst part of the experience was the food. The pizza was awful. It was dry, had little to no cheese and with a bunch of burnt cauliflower on top. It tasted super dry and bitter. How can a brick oven pizza restaurant serve such a low quality food that tasted awful too?! I can seriously get better pizza from papa Johns The meatball sandwich was just OK. But like one other review said, the meatball had a texture of dog food from a can Their famous wings was awful. It was super super dried. It had absolutely no flavor and most parts were also burnt and made the chicken very bitter. I can cook better chicken wings by marinating the wings in ketchup and cook it by throwing them inside the microwave. Service was even horrible too. The waitresses were more busy chatting among themselves than tending to their customers. We had to ask for our check several times Overall, super disappointing experience. Maybe the kitchen had a bad day or maybe we ordered the wrong food. But the food was amazingly bad and even cancer causing with all that burnt. Never again

A friend brought me here and I’m more than pleased with the food. It’s a got a very sports bar feel to the place but the coal fireplace is evident they do make some pizza. Ordered their famous wings and its gooooooooood! I’ve never had wings prepared this way, so crispy out the outside and juicy on the inside. Doesn’t taste oily at all and combined with the onion over it… hmmm… Needless to say the pizza was great, enough said I need my next serving.

Ive been here twice. The food is just so so with below average pizza in a town with great pizza. The eggplant mariano is not fantastic. The worst part was the service. A full bar with no bar tender. The waitress doubled as bar tender which caused significant delays. Surprisingly the manager sat at the bar chatting with patrons while waitresses had to act as bar tenders between waiting tables. When will restaurant operators realize they are in the service business?
