Hero, Chicken Cutlet, a little Lettuce, a little coleslaw, mozzarella cheese, spicy mayo and Russian dressing toasted! Just a lil expensive

Literally my home away from home…(Even though I live 5 minutes away). Best. Place. Ever! Their iced coffee is a staple in my life, and now they have almond milk which makes it easy to keep it a lil bit healthy while I order a huge grilled cheese with their AMAZING Mac and cheese(try it.). I would list all their foods and sandwiches that are my favorite but then I would basically be re-writing their menu(chicken supreme though.#1). Seriously though, my friends from school make excuses to hangout with me just so they can come and get some deli. Love love love it and the guys who work there are legitimately the best and soooo great at making each order exactly how I want it(especially my coffee… And I’m super picky about that!!)

Got the pesto panini. More like the flavorless soggy mush panini. Had to wait in line forever. The guys behind the counter took care of their cousins Jose and Carlos even though they didn’t wait in line. This isn’t saying much(at all), but prob the second best place in eat in great neck behind Gino’s.

The only thing worse than the food in this place is the service. It’s as if every employee undergoes training on how to be a smartass. Newsflash guys, you’re not in the theater district, so lose the attitude… Don’t call women ‘sweetie’ and try and put more effort on getting your orders right for a change.

Phenomenal iced coffee. Well located with parking lot in the rear. They have a nice dining room that usually doesn’t get too crowded. Colorado sandwich is great. Buffalo chicken panini is also really good for spicy food lovers. Food is really fresh. Line can get long, call ahead if you’re in a rush. Salads are also really good. A bit pricey for a deli. Service can be a bit rude on occasion.

Very good deli in the heart of the Old Village. This place has been around for a while, and it is very good. It is located right across from the park, so we typically take our meals outside and eat on the park benches. This place is good for breakfast and lunch with a really large menu, going from one end of the place to the other. I love their breakfast specials, like the bacon egg bagel combo and their pancakes. I like their hamburgers and paninis. It is affordable and delicious. Try their lemonade!

A classic staple in Great Neck, buried deep within the old town. I’ve been coming here for well over a decade and despite the several times I’ve witnessed it come under new ownership, it’s still one of the best delis out there. Though a bit pricey for deli food, you get huge portions. The sandwiches are EPIC and can feed two people. The salads are my personal favorite, and they chop them to the point you don’t even need to eat your salad with a fork, but you can actually spoon-feed it to yourself(I recommended the breaded chicken over the grilled chicken as one of the toss-ins). My favorite drinks here are the super-sized iced coffees, they’re delicious and you always feel«SOOOOOOCOOOOOL» sporting one of them around town. The green tea is great too, and they sweeten it with honey! Be careful though, it’s a hot spot during lunch hours for the high school kids, and in the summer the whole Parkwood staff can be found at this spot on their lunch break so the lines can get long.

I don’t mind being the black sheep of these reviews. Deli on the Green has always just been«okay» for me. I’m not typically a deli person, but this place never has wowed me at all. I’ve now twice ordered a roast beef sandwich on rye with honey mustard. That’s bread + meat + condiment. Each time they forgot the condiment. One time I even ended up with cheese instead of the mustard. I’m really not sure how much more simple it can be than what I ordered. Their selection for a deli doesn’t really blow me away and I find their prices to be a bit much(especially considering they can’t get my 3 ingredient order right). However the deli is okay and my boyfriend does love it. The breadsticks are the highlight! Sorry everyone, but I’ll take Kensington Deli any day.

Hands down the best deli sandwiches I’ve had in New York. Their chicken cutlet hero is out of this world. I don’t know how they do it; it’s the same chicken, lettuce, and tomatoes I’ve had elsewhere but it just tastes infinitely better from here. Nice little seating area in the back, with televisions, but nothing too fancy. There is parking behind the deli as well. It blows my mind how some people go to a Subway when they can just look around and find little gems like this place. More delicious sandwiches for me I guess!

Great sandwiches, and so many to choose from! The iced coffee is also very good. If you’re going anywhere from 11:00 — 3:00, better know what you want ahead of time, because the menu is extensive, and the line gets long

Nothing says«secure» like a Deli On The Green jumbo styrofoam cup filled with iced-coffee, then tightly wrapped in Saran… I feel like I could punt this thing down a football field! Unless you’re in/around the Great Neck peninsula anyway, Deli On The Green is a bit off the beaten path — On Middle Neck Road, North about 5 minutes from the Northern Blvd. or 10 minutes from the the L.I.E. I have the pleasure of working nearby and have yet to receive an iced coffee or sandwich anything short of amazing! Expect to pay between $ 6 and $ 9 per lunch sandwich; My staple lunch, a turkey/swiss/lettuce/tomato/onion/honey mustard/whole wheat wrap goes for about eight bucks. Sandwiches are generously filled, with just enough evenly-distributed goodness in every bite! The honey mustard they use is out of this world, but some of the other dressings they have(particularly the Thousand Island) are a pinch on the watery side. If you’re in a hurry, there are pre-made grab & go paninis, sandwiches, and salads, and an assortment of rotating fruit cups and yogurt parfaits. Oh, and one last thing — with the open campus at nearby Great Neck North H.S., expect this place to fill up around lunchtime on school days. Thankfully, there’s an expanded back area with plenty of seating, but that won’t do any help in shortening the lunch line! Enjoy!

I ordered food for an event and it was fantastic and the service was great however I had never been inside so I wanted to try it. Great sandwiches and excellent hot sauce. Friendly staff but a little slow. The food makes it worth going back however. I had the Times Square sandwich which was excellent. Convenient location.

While I havent been to this deli yet. I hear GREAT things. Whether it is the Brandon Special or the Chicken Supreme, my friend BEN loves it. I hope one day he invites me to his great town of Great Neck and I can enjoy this deli.

This is the best deli on Long Island — and quite possibly the best in NY. If you’re serious about sandwiches, get the Kingspoint breakfast sandwich. Come back for lunch, and try the Cowboy(if you like chicken cutlets). And if you’re not sold on Deli on the Green by then, see a doctor. It’s worth the drive. Every time.

Note: This review is only for the food, since the place where I work ordered in sandwiches from here. I got the Russian Pannini which was Roast Beef, Muenster, Coleslaw, and Thousand Island. Other people got wraps, which were dripping a little bit, and a salad, which was pretty huge. They also give you the option to make your own sandwich or wrap. I dont know the price point exactly, but I’d guess about $ 10 per person. Forewarning, the place closes at 6PM on weekdays.
