I love this place and have been coming there for a very long time,(since they were called shish-kebab palace). In my opinion grill time is one of the best places to get a kosher burger in great neck. Consistency is key in this restaurant and they have a great selection of different things to try if you get bored of the same food. The sit down experience is very good with attentive and quick service. Not too expensive. Great place to have in the neighborhood, and I hope they keep doing well.

I was impressed by this place and I definitely would love to come back. Since I live in the area, I was surprised that I have never been here. I do not eat Israeli food often, but it is definitely a cuisine for foodies. We were greeted by the waitstaff and the owner and were sat down. The restaurant does takeout, but it functions as a sit down restaurant. Prices are quite high, but that is because it is a Glatt Kosher restaurant and all of its ingredients need to be specially requested so that it complies with the regulations. The décor is quite nice, a few table-clothed tables, a lively ambiance, photographs lining the walls. The menu consists of reasonably priced sandwiches, soups/salads, a few vegetarian dishes, and huge meat kabobs/entrees. We were served a complimentary dish of purple cabbage, pickles, cucumbers, and a small salad. I was not in the mood for an expensive meal, so I ordered a falafel platter, served with 6 falafels, a large Israeli salad, and a side of hummus. We also got a falafel sandwich that was served with fries and a side of hummus. This is the better deal($ 3 cheaper). My dish was served with a side of pita, but I decided to eat the dish like salad. The falafel was really delicious, delicious, seasoned perfectly. The Israeli salad was just cucumbers and lettuce, but it was dressed nicely. The hummus I was giving was very watery and I did not enjoy it. However, since we ordered the sandwich, it came with perfect hummus, rich and creamy, so I don’t understand the differing qualities. The sandwich was a slightly smaller portion, but it was served with fries. I definitely want to return here to try their meat entrees.

Food is good but I’m not sure why they do not put their prices on their online menu. Kind of a turn off as you need to wait until you go in there to find out prices.

Delicious and fresh menu grilled to perfection, I wish the restaurant was a little larger so costumers Don’t have to wait so long for a table. An extra waiter or waitress would make for a little better service.

I’m almost scared to give grill time 2 stars given it’s recent perfect record, but I have to be honest. Baby chicken shawarma tasted NOTHING like shawarma… it was dry curry chicken, so just call it curry chicken. The beef kufta was decent but certainly not special. I’m reluctant to write the review without having tried their falafel, but I’m certain I won’t be going back. Murray’s Falafel(in Stuyvesant Town/Gramercy), King of Falafel & Shawarma(in Astoria) or Ilili’s(Flatiron district) are all light-years better and still has in my opinion the best shawarma. I understand geography is an issue, but that is no reason to give a place more stars. The service was also a little awkward.

I just finished eating my first meal from grill time. It was a takeout order of grilled baby chicken with israeli salad, white rice and techina(sorry if spelling is incorrect) sauce. Omg it was truly the best! The flavor of the grill was delicious.

I have been here a few times. I always get the shawarma with grilled vegetables. The shawarma is good. The vegetables could be seasoned better. For the price I wish they added pita. Once I ordered the salad platter with a few different salads. The hummus is good. The service is okay, most of the waiters are not very friendly and patient.

Everything is made to order. The rib eye was really tasty. The servers and counter staff are really friendly. I wouldn’t say it’s over priced but it’s not cheap. But why would you put cheap food in your body anyway? Will definitely be back to try more things. Lost a point because I was sweating while eating. Could have been from the hot food but I wish it were cooler in there.

Pita and hummus are really good. Don’t get any of the lamb dishes, the portions are small and the meat is too fatty. Their chicken dishes like schnitzel and baby chicken kebab are fantastic. Ambiance is a bit bare bones. Service is okay. Park in the lot on Maple Avenue.

Typical middle eastern fare, very nice inside and comfortable seating. I got the schwarma platter and it was ok, a bit dried out w/not a lot of flavor. My dining companion got the falafel platter w/different spreads, which was also ok, but not great. Frankly, the prices are WAY too high for what you get for your money. I would not likely return here.

I stopped in this evening and could not get served. I asked to be seated. I asked for a menu and after I watched others get water and service, I left. Four other restaurants down the street to spend my money.

Came here one night when it was just too hot to cook. The staff was friendly, and the waiter was knowledgeable, which isn’t typical in most kosher places sadly enough. It’s a very relaxed place, and so is the service, which we didn’t mind considering it was so freaking hot outside. I got the shawarma platter and my husband got the burger. He loved the burger and I was so full from my plate that I took half of it home for lunch the next day. The waiter was nice enough to throw in fresh pita. Overall, I’m so coming back.
