We’re big fans of this place! We mostly order take out and on occasion go in and sit down and find that they prepare the food consistently well. They are always very nice and friendly and very fast!

This is the best sushi I have had in a while. The fish is incredibly fresh and some of the special rolls are quite incentive and delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly and very accommodating for anyone who as a food allergy. If you haven’t gone yet make it your choice next time you want sushi!

It was empty when I went with a friend on a Tuesday night. Could have just been an off day, but that was the only part I found a bit weird. The food was great, and I definitely recommend the plum wine for $ 5(only if you like really sweet wines, though). This is one of the few sushi places I’ve gone to where I actually left feeling satisfied and couldn’t even finish the whole meal. Definitely generous portion sizes for a more reasonable price than other sushi restaurants I’ve been to.

I have ordered from here in the last and sushi is not bad. We decided to go in person ohh wow what a mistake. We were seated and then just sat. Asked for menus and just wanted. Not like the place was busy so maybe 2 other tables occupied. Then we saw 1 table get upset and leave. We’re still waiting maybe water and since there is no one else they would come now. Nope nothing have it a few more minutes before we also got up and just left. Horrible service, not going back.

One of the 2 best places for Sushi in Great Neck. There are about 12 others. Always fresh. Fish is delicious. Not too much rice. Perfect.

I’m really confused at how this place is 4.5 stars even if there are only about 30 reviews. I came here with my family to celebrate my graduation in a few days(and today is also Mother’s Day). The second we walked in we saw there was only one other table occupied which was already weird because I would expect most places to be packed on a holiday like this. I decided to give this place the benefit of the doubt anyway. We ordered a sweet sake, recommended by the waitresses, which was good. We also ordered a large hot sake which didn’t really suit my taste, but my mom liked it. After this, everything went downhill. I asked for 4 ice waters, which came out tasting like there was something toxic in it. It actually tasted like metal or something. We asked for it to be replaced, after which it tasted like… normal water. I’ve never had a restaurant serve near poisonous water to me before. I thought that was unacceptable. I barely even drank the new waters they gave because I was still skeptical. For our actual meal, we ordered the 43 piece sashimi meal for ~$ 50, the spicy sushi combo for ~$ 19, shrimp tempura with vegetables, and udon. Everything in the sashimi dish tasted bad or didn’t taste fresh besides the salmon which was very good. The shrimp tempura was very greasy. I took only one bite of the pieces of shrimp, sweet potato, and broccoli. I couldn’t finish any of it. But to be fair, shrimp tempura in general is pretty greasy. I think it just isn’t for me. My dad seemed to like it. The udon didn’t taste like udon at all. The soup sucked, the noodles were bland, and the crab meats tasted terrible. We didn’t finish this or the sashimi dish. The udon was still ¾ full when we asked for the check. The only other thing that was decent was the spicy sushi combo, I guess. Sadly, it wasn’t enough to save the meal. Overall, the food sucks. The waitresses are nice. I wouldn’t come back here again and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone else. I will stick with my regular sushi place in Bayside next time.

A little bias here since I LOVE sushi. But this place was pretty nice. We went in a little late– with a little less than an hour til closing. They still welcomed us in & the food came out pretty fast. They must have been rushing tho cause the sushi was a bit messy :( But the taste was still on point! Would come again, but definitely at an earlier time. Tasted fresh!

The quality of the sushi is superb. If you ask them to make a special order they do it with experience. Prices are fair, not amazing for large crowds because of the embrace, that’s why the 4 stars.

My favorite sushi place in great neck. Lunch specials are super cheap. The plum wine for 5 $ is totally worth it!

I keep going back here because their fresh is so fresh. Not only do I order that spicy salmon tartar all the time, but I have fallen in love with their yellow tail don, habachi shrimp, and their spicy girl roll. I have them deliver all the time and they are super fast!

I just ordered delivery and was very impressed. Delivery was prompt and food was carefully packaged. I ordered the sashimi bento box and I was really satisfied. The sashimi was outstanding! The slices were large and thick but most of all it was really fresh and the selection was my favorite. Would definitely order again.

My sushi was fresh and delicious and my friends seemed to enjoy their hibachi. Make sure to check in on Unilocal, because they do honor the check in deal. I did find it strange that the place was empty on a Friday night, but maybe people in Great Neck eat super early? Also, the music they were playing was terrible

I saw this restaurant through Groupon. It was empty for a Friday night. A typical Japanese restaurant that is run by Chinese and I have to say the prices are nothing like a typical Chinese Japanese restaurant. I wouldn’t have dine here unless I had a Groupon and even then I am a little hesitant. I could have gotten the same type of food in Queens and a lot cheaper. I ordered the Sashimi combo. The fish was alright and tasted like it was pre-cut and pre-packaged fish. I can’t say anything great about it. This is the type of restaurant where you go once and forget about it.

My boyfriend found a Groupon for this place, so we decided to check it out last Saturday night. When we arrived, it was completely empty. The restaurant itself is pretty small — no more than ten tables, I would say. Furniture and décor were very minimal, but not in a «modern art» kind of way. I did like the dim blue lighting and privacy, though. We started off with their salmon skin roll and rock shrimp tempura. Both were very tasty, although I’ve had better elsewhere. Their plum wine is fantastic, though, and we each had two glasses over the course of our meal. For our entrées, we ordered the Deluxe Sashimi Platter and Tri-Color Sushi Platter. And although the fish was fresh and delicious, I still preferred my experience at Sushi Palace a few blocks away.
