Tibet Steaming Palace

Third time to this place, I recommend getting the steam before massage. Now getting foot steam… feels good and tingly like peppermint.

Amazing~! My roomie and I noticed this little gem when we were across the street at Harvest Buffet and we decided to try it one day. Yay for taking chances~!
For $ 50, we got an hour steam and an incredible hour long massage. The steam was a bit… awkward, but I made it work. You are essentially naked, with a pair of disposable panties (my male roomie did the steam in his boxers) in a towel lined wooden tub that has herb infused steam piped in. You lay down in the tub and they close the top with a hinged lid so only your head pokes out.
Now I am a larger girl (width, not height) and I was nestled in their pretty snuggly. There were times when the steam would just heat up specific spots on my body and it would be uncomfortably hot. They give you this door buzzer to push if you need them to come in to adjust the steam, but considering that you are in a box with only your head peeping out, the buzzer isn’t the easiest to use. I finally decided to open up the top half of my steam tub lid, grabbed a large towel from the massage table next to me and used that to cover my upper body and trap the steam. Much easier to regulate the heat, and it freed up my hands to watch Netflix on my iPhone.
After an hour in the steam tub, I laid down for a massage that was out of this world. My muscles were already well loosened by the steam and the masseurs knew exactly what to push to work out any kinks or knots. They are very good at adjusting to your tastes (Soft or Hard) and will focus on specific areas as requested.
All in all, an amazing experience and a TOTAL bargain as well. My body and skin felt incredible and I can’t wait to go back!
