The Original Charbroil House

I have been here a few times with family friends and our visit is always laid back and worth it! It’s been a few years since I have had a sit down lunch here but I recently was apart of a surprise birthday that was hosted here and it was outstanding. The food was delicious and the staff was on point! Very attentive and friendly. Its casual and I would highly recommend coming here if you’re down by the lake and want a real family like dining experience. A classic!

We went to breakfast. The food was very good. I had french toast, bacon and toast. My wife had eggs, toast and potatoes. The service was fast and friendly. They remodeled the restaurant and it looks up to date.
We’ll definitely will be returning.

Kudos to TOCH for being able to accomodate our very large party of 16ish (give or take), with a smile, efficiently and for being patient with us. Our tables were reserved and ready for us.
Every time I get up to Rochester, I have to have a beer battered haddock fish fry (I’ll post a picture later). Now, granted TOCH’s fish fry isn’t exactly the best I’ve had in Rochester, it is for sure much better in both quality and value than almost ANYTHING (fish fry related) I’ve had in or around Raleigh. The slaw is good, and the chowder is awesome!
If I’m ever up by Charlotte beach again (on a Friday), I know where to go for my fix.

The Charbroil House catered an event for my company this week and the food was outstanding. Everything was really flavorful, especially the roasted potatoes and greens and beans. Plus all of the food on the buffet was hot and fresh.
This was the first time I had a meal from there without dining in the restaurant, but now I can say with confidence that they are a great place to go for dinner near the lake or a great place to have cater your next event.

I posted a picture I was able to taste a lot of different foods but I really really enjoyed the chicken and pasta! The greens and beans were also delicious. I highly recommend the food here!

Recently had Charboil cater for work and it was incredible. For one, the chicken was to die for! Loved it so much I wanted seconds! The ziti was great and honestly Im not a huge ziti fan! Lastly, the potatoes were fantastic. Never have had a type like that, but we’re overall great! I recommend these guys to anyone looking for some heavenly food! Thanks guys!

I just love to stop here during the summer when I’m out riding my hog… The breakfast is great and the service spot on… We also enjoy our dinners there as well… It’s a nice drive down by the lake and Bradocks Bay… A comfortable place for great food… The meat sauce is very tasty and not too spicy… You serve your own condiment bar is also cool…

Pulled pork sandwich on ciabatta is my favorite, I highly recommend it.

I ordered a burger and I bit into it and then realized my bun was green and moldy. Disgusting

My husband and I love the food at Charbroil. We had to stop going last summer
because we had put our winter coats away for the season. Much too cold there even
on a hot day. Went back last fall and all was well again… until today. A cool breezy
70 degree day and we walk into Charbroil and it had to be at least 60 in there.
Asked the waitress if something could be done and she said, «We’ll see.» Reminded
her again and she talked to a manager. No change. Ate fast to get out of there.
Another lady went out to get her coat from the car as did my husband. We were honestly thinking of leaving before we ordered. As we paid our bill a blonde woman asked how things were and we said it was way too cold. She said they could not keep adjusting the A/​C– it is just a problem with the Rochester weather. Sounds weird to me. So now we will have to wait til fall and the coast is clear and maybe the heat will be on. So sad to have to pass on such great food becauRochester, NY 14 612

Love the chicken speedies

This is where I had my first Garbage plate. Mmm Mmmm gooood.
A spectacle to be sure and not the best meal for one on a diet.
A platter plate with half macaroni salad, half home fries. Topped with 2 burgers and cheese, chili sauce, mustard, mayo, hot sauce and peppers. Served with buttered bread.
Get a diet coke because after all you don’t want to be a pig.
